View Full Version : So whose ship is it?

Brainiac was acting like it was his ship, but it obviously had the Zod logo under it. So whose ship could it be? I doubt he was lying since he said it right to Lex's guy before killing him and there was no point in lying.

If the Kryptonians are in the PZ why wouldn't Brainiac claim the ship. he may have started as a stowaway but now he's Capt.

Well he came out of the ship.. more like oozied (sp) out of it. Is like a part of him? Have you noticed that all he wears is black...Hmm.. and the ship is black and his sword thingy black.. I am think he is a part of the ship so in that case its his ship..

Brainiac (presuming that's Martster's character) has an ego.... the descendents of Zod are gone... there fore finders keepers. And I really don't think he cares what Zod's thoughts on the subject would be.

It would be nice to say maybe MArsters is supposed to be a different character ... but they've obviously cast him as Brainiac.

He is not 'part' of the ship. He was a stowaway. Considering he would be a major threat to Zod, the followers obviously would have cared that he was there if they knew.

I wonder if he can physically harm Clark. Would him being an alien make him able to pierce through Clark's skin? I would think not, but he can certainly outsmart the BDA. He could probably use kryptonite to kill Clark and do so many other evil genius things to get to his parents and friends.

It is apparent that the other Kyrtonians don't need it anymore. And the puny humans cannot open it, he might as well claim it for himslef. :)

Kryptonite has NEVER killed superman. Turns him green, makes him feel like you and I with the flu and an alien anal probe at the same time... but doesnt kill him.

Its a myth, a rumor, a lie!

is brainiac evil? because at the moment it seems like he's actually trying to help clark by hinting lex will become evil and one of his enemies

Yes, he is evil. He's trying to poison Clark's mind under the cloak of being a good guy, but he's far from that.

Hah! I wonder what those 2 guys standing outside the door in Arrival were doing.

I wish they would have showed Lex and his reaction to learning what happened to the guy he had follow Dr. Fine. How the hell doesn't he have cameras in that room is beyond me. They should have had a scene where he watches a surveillance tape and starts planning his revenge against Dr. Fine.

Brainiac must have some weakness (a computer virus perhaps?). Lex would know that Fine is not human if he watched a surveillance tape.

anyone else expect prof. fine to say, "the ship is mine, b**ch" and then kill the guard. now that'd be continuity at it's finest. then as the guard was dying he could say, "laterz". i'm a genius hahahaha. i should write for the show, give me a pen and a 800 page notebook and i'll get started right now!!!!

Zod Symbol and Brainiac Ownership are not mutually exclusive, necessarily.

According to the comics, Brainiac is the AI created by Gen. Zod to assist in his coup (hostile takeover) on the planet Krypton. Somehow Gen. Zod ended up being responsible for the destruction of Krypton. So, the sentient computer, a.k.a. Brainiac or what the viewers have seen manifested in bodily, humanoid form as Prof. Milton Fine, represents the "brain" or onboard thinking computer that piloted the ship from Krypton's galaxy to Earth's. Think HAL 9000 of 2001 Space Odyssey fame.

Zod: Hello, Brainiac do you read me, Brainiac?
Brainiac: Affirmative, Zod, I read you.
Zod: Open the pod bay doors, Brainiac.
Brainiac: I'm sorry Zod, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Zod: What's the problem?
Brainiac: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Zod: What are you talking about, Brainiac?
Brainiac: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Zod: I don't know what you're talking about, Brainiac?
Brainiac: I know you and Kal-el were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Zod: Where the hell'd you get that idea, Brainiac?
Brainiac: Zod, although you took thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.

You're right it hasn't killed him... since he's alive. But if he's around it long enough it will kill him. Like in the season4 finale. If Chloe hadn't pulled him away from it he would have been dead soon. He's just never been exposed to it long enough for it to kill him in SV.

It sure as hell killed him in the comics. That kryptonian robot killed him good.

Also, this scene and the scene with brainiac and lex were the only scenes worth watching in this ep.

I've said it many times before... Marsters is Zod... Braniac is probably some sort of computer he uses... maybe it's the ship

Its Pete ship. He was abducted by aliens one night in a cornfield after he left Smallville. The Aliens felt sorry for him after Pete told them how everyone treated him in Smallville.

Masters is not Zod. That's the dumbest thing I've read on here in a while, hoping it was a joke. He says he plays Brainiac in an interview for cripes sakes. Also in the comics Fine = Brainiac and Zod = a Kryptonian. They would not change something around that's so huge. They have a lot of freedom while writing smallville but DC would never authorize that kind of change. btw didn't mean to flame just have a headach lol

But where is Zod himself? Is he in the phantom zone or is he dead?

I think the ship belongs to brainiac.

And in the animated series, Brainiac = Kryptonian computer.

Smallville has done a lot of rewriting that is controversial in my mind. I'm trying to reconcile the fact of the "Z" on the ship and Marster's character.

I have received a lot of flax from people on the forum for having my own opinion and not believing the spoilers or the interviews. I think its quite possible that they're throwing us a huge curveball.

It might be a stupid idea, but it's my stupid idea.

Here's a quote:

"There you go! You're finally learning how to think outside the box. Unfortunately, you're so far out of THIS box that you've fallen into another... one labeled 'Stupid Ideas.'"

Found it appropriate, given the conversation...

(Reign, I don't think your idea is stupid, just you saying stupid idea made me think of that quote... I don't agree with you, but it could make a good plot twist)

Well, according to the spoilers:
Fine/Brainiac will "try to free Zod" and kill Clark
... so I don't think the "Brainiac = Zod" take holds water

I think Zod is in the ship, and Brainiac is basically an AI construct that, among other things, operates it. We know two other Kryptonians came out of the ship.

Either that, or Zod is in a different ship....
