Does anyone else find it odd that these vampire women were just treated for their illness and set free? It seems to me that choosing to eat people rather than seek treatment is grounds for some kind of punishment or at least therapy.

Just a thought...

I thought the exact same thing. Chloe's narrative only said they were being treated by LuthorCorp. She didn't say they were set free. I believe that they should of added something like "...treated by LuthorCorp and sent to Belle Reve..."

Good point. I did like how she vaporized Buffy.

The reason they weren't put in jail or Belle Reeve? If you noticed the vampirism affected Lana just a little bit in the behavior department....most likely the other girls became good ppl again once they were treated.

They wouldnt have been put in jail or prison anyway; they girls were suffering from an "illness" that caused them to kill others i.e. to eat. It would be like if you were to have split personality disorder and killed someone, you would end up in a mental institution rather than jail/prison. Plus how would you argue that "they were vampires and they ate people".

3 if you count Morgan Edge's lackey in Phoenix (but that was like self defense).

Still, I don't think the Lana of Smallville is worthy of being a friend of Superman. For this and many other reasons, I hope the person who's life force will be taken is her.
