Two things about Clar...er Carlos and Lex.

First, I think the help that Lex gave to Clark was more out of concern for Lana than the friendship.

Second, Lex most likely believes that it wise to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Not that Lex considers Clark an enemy but he is definately suspicious.

Lex even clued in on Clarks uncomfort around the kryptonite stalagmite before Draculana interupted them. The rumor mill will definately kick up to high gear with all the fragments presented in Thirst..

I am starting to get bugged by the interaction.

Mainly because I am sick of the situations where Clark sticks up for Lex, only to come to a realization at the end of the episode.

You would think that Clark would just want to stay away from Lex.

As much as I loved the Clex, I just wish they would stay away from each other. It is getting pointless just watching Clark and Lex end up complaining about each other.

Why not spend the time developing each individually?

Because that would mean actually better writing :lol:. They use to develop them separating in the beginning(which IMO was just great), but since S4 it just well stopped.

I thought it was cool to see Dr. Fine doing to Lex what he's been doing to Carlos all along (the spying/investigating). I wonder if this will somehow draw Lex & Carlos closer as friends again.

Just a few eps ago they were punching each other out and now they're talking to each other almost like nothing happened. I think when clark got his powers back he was affected by the usual memory loss that runs rampid through smallville.

I think that Lex was concerned over Lana too. I also think that last week Clark hit a spot when he said that he defended at the end.

I think that Lex is interested in Lana now because she's in the middle of everything and the love interest to one of Lex's biggest mysteries. I was thinking he may try to make Lana think he likes her and then use her. That's for future stuff though.

I can't believe you are thinking a friendship still exists, it's not, the friendship ended in Mortal, they will only use each other for their needs. Clark only went to Lex to save his friends, end of story.

That's all Clark ever used Lex for. You never saw them just hanging out and being friends, Clark always had an agenda with Lex.
