TPTB are playing with Lex having kryptonite around Clark quite a bit. It almost makes it annoying with how Lex constantly asks Clark if he's feeling alright. Just so happens this time Draculana interrupts the moment!

I'm gonna guess it was a kryptonite-"infected" stalagtite(sp?) that Lex was talking about when finding Buffy Sanders in that cave, and then the researchers found the meteor rocks in the cave, and its effects on their surroundings - including the stalagtites and the vampire bats.

It is spelled "stalactite".

And the idea of being infected in a cave by Kryptonite infected water tables was used in the Smallville novel "Dragon", in case you read that and wondered why it sounded familiar. ;)

Yeah I have to agree Lex seems to have too much kryptonite around Clark.

you would think Lex would be more tuned now to the fact that green k makes CK sick like dog... I thoght Lana was the dumb one in SV... come on now!!

I think he knows. He noticed it way back in Metamorphosis. I think he's still testing the theory.

I agree...it definitely looked cool. I would've enjoyed seeing Buffy getting stabbed with it than vaporized.
