Prof. Fine has convince me, He and Lex made this episode better than what I expected. I thought it would be a lame filler but they put enough Lex and Prof. Fine on it to make it watchable.

I also liked how JM pronounced it 'Luth-OR' instead of 'Luth-ER'. I don't know if that's just JM doing that by himself, or if TPTB told him to say it that way.

Fine won me over this episode. He finally set something right in my mind after appearing up in the E.R. with Clark and Chloe. To start, I really didn't like the idea of what could be Brainaic coming to SV but I think he's added another layer to the story and Lex's has obivously done something to him to make him move over the edge and make Fine want to go after him.

James is an American born and raised in California. He faked the British accent on BtVS. In SV I have no idea where Fine is from because I was hearing James British voice in the mansion scene.

I noticed that as well. He truly has the tendency to slip into it every so often, without any thought.

Thanx. At times he sounded like he was from southern CA, other times he sounded Texan. And I did detect hints of Brit coming through. I guess if you do an accent long enough it's hard to shake.

Prof. Fine is great I just hope the writers will do justice to his Character as Brainiac. I hope they dont ruin him like Mr. Mxyzptlk or even Alisha Baker. They are previews Character that could have a lot of potential.

I think Fine/Brianiac is going to be the best storyline that SV has ever done. Heck, it already is. It was THE hightlight of this epy.

You have to wonder if Fine is going to meet Lionel and what that would be like.

That's what I am thinking. It's like he quite yet figure out the Fine accent, or Brainaic is having malifucations with his programming lol. There is one episode where he sounded Texan on Buffy in "Doomed". Thus far I have yet to truly hear his actual voice which I thought he might use.

Actually they should have had him use his Brit accent which would have played with well with Terrance Stamp who does Jor-El.

Don't think anyone answered this - the T3 footage used in Scare was when Lex tried the serum, his nightmare was himself as president (from Hourglass) plus nukes going off - the footage of the nukes hitting the earth was from T3.

Actually I haven’t, and if they ever do a musical SV I’ll have to say check please. I will say that JM’s acting chops are in the same league as JG’s, which is a huge complement And it’s also why I want to see them in a scene together. Add in the fact that Lionel is now an “oracle of Kryptonian knowledge” there are a lot of ways it could go down. It could be Find vs. Lionel or Brianiac vs. Jor-El.

Ok with brainiac. I dont know how u can compare lex and brainiac, cause theres no comparson, at least now while lex is still "young" Brainiac is like the prefect person, cause hes a computer. Did anyone catch the convo that brainac/clark had in the class about clark having the courage to fight lex, do u guys think he know the future or somehow knows that clark and lex are meant to be emnies. I mean he know everything about clark and krypton, and basically knows everything about lex being hes a supercomputer and can get in to whatever he wants to. And what was he doing with the ship. Looks liek he was gonna open it or somethin b4 he was interupted. Brainiac is one of teh best chars. Lex just took a major demotion as best villian in the story.

In agreement with the majority of posts. Kudos to Marsters. I've never been this anxious for a character to pop his head into an episode. Especially this past one. Hes the only reason outside of Clark/Lex to watch SV these days, at least thats why Im watching. I wonder if we'll get some Glover/ Marsters scenes this year. Now that would be something to see. Lionel and Prof. Fine/Brainiac going at it ahh the goosebumps will be off the fanboy meter on that one .

Casting Marsters is one of the smartest decisions TPTB have made regarding this show ever. I really can't wait to see him tangle with Lionel as himself or Lion-El.

As for giving Lionel a run for his money in regards to being able to truely mess with Lex. Well thats kind of a given but I would partially at least attribute it to the fact that Fine/Brainiac has no personal connection to Lex they way Lionel does. Despite how bad Lionel could be there was always an underpining of care for his son. He was trying to ready Lex for his place in the world.
