Lois was swimming like my mother does when she doesn't want to get her hair wet...I think they could have done a little better with that scene, like used a stunt double or something to show better swim prowess on her part...it looked really stupid...

im sure she just meant that she grew up in the military and pretty much all the influence she has had is from military guys.

she doesn't means she's an uber swimmer or can hold her breath for 2 mins under water.

You people are missing out on the source of the comments. I am not sure if any of you actually know girls like Lois or how they act in real life but they are very stuck up and self centerd and have high thoughts of themselfs. They often say things to impress others or even just them, but we all know this is the basis of the Lois charector even from the old superman movies, I think Erica Durance plays Lois really great.
