Will Prof. Fine Replace Lex

Now that the relationship with Lex seems severed for Clark, will Prof. Fine aka: Brainiac replace Lex as Clark's close friend/advisor? How far will that go and how long will it last?

i dont think to long....brainiac i dont think will be friends with clark too long. main reason is he is a guest character how long can they have him on the show b4 they expose his true meaning.

Brainiac is supposed to be on for the duration of the season. I know that he is going to be used as a wedge b/w Clark and Lex. I just wondered what people thought about the depth of the Clark/Brainiac relationship.

And does Brainiac know about Clark - that he's from Krypton, etc.?

I see in the trailer on Tv for "Thirst" that Clark must talk to Prof. Fine about vampires. Seems like something he would talk to Lex about in the past.

I would think brainiac would have to know... I don't buy his whole 'I know all my students' speech. He doesn't randomly wind up teaching a class Clark is taking and if he's done as much research on Lex as he has then he would have to have seen Clark's name come up a few times. I would think given that he came from Krypton though and knew the Zod guys were on the ship, that he would be carrying kryptonite around with him at all times in case any other Kryptonians were lurking.

well there is a differnce briniac is never clarks friend just trying to use him for his own evil purposes lex was atleast clarks friend at first still had his motives but he needed a friend.

I dont really know the background on Brainiac..but i know i wanna see more revealed about krypton and Clarks biological parents and maybe at some point when Brianiac reveals whatever evil purpose he has that some new stuff will come out

What we know thus far (ignoring spoilers, as always) is that "Dr. Milton Fine" looks a lot like the guy who morphed into being from a pool of goo in Lex's facility.

We haven't yet heard the name "Brainiac" despite the casting info we have meta-contextual possession of.

There is at least one Brainiac origin story that involves Brainiac, an alien mind, assuming control of a human mind. Dr. Milton Fine was the man controlled in that fashion. It could be the case that the Dr. Fine we have thus far seen is not in fact yet Brainiac. The only X-factor is why the ooze in Lex's facility resembled him.

(It's a stretch, I know, and probably wrong, but using no spoilers and only what we've seen, that all we can say we know. ;))

I'm curious as to see where they're headed with Fine, though we've known couresty spoilers that he's Brainaic.

Prof. Fine knows the truth about Clark being from Krypton. He knows everything. He setting up the pieces of this mindgame of his.

Fine is a highly advanced spy computer that can take on any form he wants.

He knows so much about Lex because well his ship/home is in the Luthorcorp research facilities. Prolly logged himself in or something.

Fine is a different kind of evil. It's evil from outter space and holds alot of knowledge on Krypton. I am not sure if that card is going to be played out though on Smallville.

Lex/Lionel are corporate evil. Billionares with eccentric hobbies, spoilt ppl who have nothing better to do than terrorise others. But they dont hold secrets of krypton. They dont know about the FOS for example.

Clark never learns does he? He keeps falling under the spell of charismatic future arch enemies. :lol: It's so ironic that he breaks off his friendship with Lex only to run to another bad -guy- to - be.
