sometimes the series has the season starter as the next day from the previous cliffhanger episode of last season. then the 2nd episode of the season jumps a few months ahead to get it back to the current time frame.
it seems for this 5th season, last week's episode shows chloe preparing to leave for college, and then this week's episode shows that the official autumn time-frame has started. clark himself is in college and the conversion in the opening minutes tells a little more about how time has passed for all of them.
i just thought that was interesting since i had been wondering when things would catch up to the current time.
so effectively, clark and lana have been dating for a few months (during the summer), yet his entire freshman to senior self-control of not dating her seems to be gone out the door.
at first it was because he had no more secret to hide. but we know now it's been a while since he got his powers back, and they are still together. as chloe said, clark still hasn't revealed that to lana.
and since we know they are sleeping together, how did he explain the absence of a scar to lana? unless that was the writers' way of saying...no more sleeping together either.
anyway, nothing special in this line of thought, just wanted to get it out.
