Did anyone notice what Lana was wearing at the Lake scene? Was I not seeing well without my glasses or did she have on a halter top and a skirt?? What is with this get up, maybe she don't own a swiim suit .... looked really weird to me...

I thought the same thing, it looked weird-their are cute skirts that are made to go with bathing suits to help give a bit more modesty, but I have never seen one that friggen big before.

ummmm wonder if that was it? She did seem really covered up from the waist down.. even for Lana..

Definitely the focus was on Lois, Lana ans Chloe appeared to be dressed as old ladies.

I thought the same thing! I was like "what is Lana wearing?? It looks like a 1920s bathing suit!"

Did anyone else think that Lois' bathing suit looked like a Wonder Woman costume! haha.

I liked what she was wearing, it was cute and looked good on her.

I really liked her outfit on the beach. I think they made her wear that because she's a "taken" woman now. Clark's more of the conservative type from what I've noticed in the series and I guess she respected that... Kal on the other hand.... hehe

I liked it, but I loved what Chloe was wearing. Maybe I'm just a total geek who digs conservative-ness, but I thought it was down right sexy.

Lana's did suit her and Lois...well, my jaw dropped and I've been drooling over it for days now.

There are some cute one pieces out there and that was not one of them, that bathing suit needs to stay in the Smallville Museme of History.
And conservative or not; is she dressing just to please Clark now I don't think so. What Chloe was wearing nicer than that frump

YES!!!!!!!!!!! Indeed!!:D

On a side note however, I noted your post to my thread "Chloe's brief bikini cameo...Anticipation Overload!!":...."Here's to hoping it happens!"

Had it happen for Chloe! I guess the closest effect would be like "rabbid dog" drool----meaning you would not have survived what I call "A Daily Dose of Chloe"!! :D  :D :D

I think they wanted to contrast Chloe/Lana and Lois.

chloe and Lana would be described as 'conservative' and probably not all that athletic (barring Lana's ninja subplot). they also were both wearing earings if I remember right and a good amount of makeup. They were obviously (to me) there to 'look good' on the beach and not to swim.

Whereas Lois (who was of course wearing the half pound of putty they put on Erica every show) was in a real bikini and diving off the dock into the water. She was there to have fun and 'do her thing'.

I think it was mostly a plot device to differentiate Lois (and Clark's future interests) from Chloe/Lana (and Clark's quiet high school days). I guess you could also argue that Lana and Chloe lived in Smallville and had easy access to swimming areas whenever they wanted whereas Lois maybe didn't so she was more eager to carpe diem.

I think Lana;s swim suit would have been fine if the skirt wasn't so friggin' big. I mean, who did she think she was going to swim with? The preacher at the local church? A smaller skirt would have sufficed and I think chloe could have gotten a way with one of those wrap skirts instead of the sundress thing. I believe the clothing was a bit over board for them.

I liked Lana's outfit, it was really cute, and not that big. I liked Chloe's suit too, but Lois' suit just made me self-conscious! I just kept thinking : 'wow, I really need to hit the gym...'

well then again lana's taste wasnt always so tasteful. i mean she has really cute stuff that looks good on her but sometimes.... eh... i guess i'm juss surprised she didnt deck out in full on leather and brought her candles and spellbook starting a bombfire. cuz that wouldve been fun.

at least her suit wasnt pink?? ive noticed her more mature charecter has taken on black. yet people always have something to complain...

There is a lot to be said about leaving some things to the imagination.
