Ok, lets start by saying that i liked Aqua. It was a good episode, but no more, no less.

Also, lets continue by saying that in every season, there will be what we call filler episode, meaning that not every episodes must advanced the main arc greatly.

Now with that in mind, i consider Aqua a filler episode. And now with that mind, i think this episode was a terribly misplaced filler episode!

Last episode, Hidden, we had a big one. We had Clark getting killed, getting his powers back, etc. So many things happened, they didnt have time to touch everything in Hidden, i was expecting most of them to be taken care of in this episode. But i was deceived...

Lets take for example Clarks death. Is it me or did it seem like Clark NEVER died?!?!?!? Not ONE word on this! Wether from Clark, Chloe, Lex, Lana or even Lois, nothing zilch. Its like nothing ever happened. HELLO, this guy DIED and RESURECTED! Somebody wake me up when something out of the ordinary happens?!?!?!? Also, we didnt even have a glimpse of the consequences of Clark getting his powers back as to his relationship with Lana. We didnt have ANY talk between them. And theres more...

Ill say this again, i liked Aqua! But i think that it would have served a greater purpose if it would have been a little later and would have given place to an episode that treats the major subject of what happened in Hidden.

Have you even been watching Smallville for the past four years? This is always the way things go. TPTB will set up a really intense story and then leave us hanging for weeks until (usually during the sweeps months) they further the plot, answer questions, and question answers. If you honestly expected things to be answered or dealt with in any significant (or insignificant) way then you were fooling yourself. That being said I really liked this episode, thought it fit in well (what with the relationships between the charectars), and don't forget the bits with Milton Fine which will have huge reprecussions later on in the season.

Funny, judging by how hot ED looked in the bikini, I thought this WAS a sweeps ep :D

Maybe there should be some kind of a time line reference. I mean, sure if Clark died last week, I don't think it's business as usual down by the lake the next week. even if months passed, one would assume that SOMEONE would mention it....butthis is SV after all.

Of course, I found some of the same things in Deep Space 9, but won't get into that here....

Exactly. This is a TV show not real life. And many other shows seem to follow this pattern.

But it makes it seem less believable. Yes even more than a man like superman but you guys know what I mean. It would just be so much better if they had more continuaty(however u spell it).

Actually this show has more continuity than a lot of shows I've seen.

yeah it did seem a bit misplaced... but if you went on with the whole Spaceship, Clark's choice, and evil Lex plot there wouldn't be much of a punch at the end. It does seem that Lex has accepted his evilness already... which really bugged me... I thought they were going to do it gradually... Where we left off he was just confused at the clark enigma.

Well they took five years to get to his evilness, and he still has room to get worse.

It's hard to get upset at things like this in the Freak capital of the world. While part of me recognizes a scar should be visible on a shirtless Clark, the rest of me doesn't care, because it's not a showbreaker.

It was hardly a filler episode when we met Dr. Fine, had two really good Clark and Lex confrontations--Aquadude exposed what depths Lex has sunk to now, both advancing his character and Clark's when he decided for the first time to go after Lex and stop believing in the good in him.

So its not filler at all.

In my view, yah it is a filler epi. With a little tweak, even with what you said, this episode could have been easily be putted later on and have the same impact. I believe there were more important and urgent things to show and discuss before we could have that kind of episode...

put! put put put put put put put put put! Could have been *put* later on!

Sorry, I hate this grammar mistake. Why does everyone add ed's to things now-a-days? It's put!

Rant over.

I think they are saving Lois' stripper scene for sweeps!

I thought they explained pretty will that some time had elapsed btween this episode and last episode. The first thing mentioned when Clark saw Lois was about her being back from England. Some some time had to pass. I also thought this wasn't a filler episode: We finely meet Pro. Fine, Clark makes it clear to Lex that he's not on his side anymore and he will now be investigating with Pro. Fine Lexcorp. I also liked the continuity of Clark mentioning to Chloe that A.C. wasnt the first non-meteor powered person he meant, he ment some who could run faster than him. The only thing I would have like to have seen that they didn't do was use A.C's power to speak to the fish, like trying to get them to move as far away from the Leviathan device as possible or something. All in All I really liked the episode.

Sorry folks, ED is pretty, but when she was in that Bikini, all I was could was just grimace at the horrible boob job she has had or her years are catching up to her at a early age and they are starting to sag and drift to the sides.

Actually, ED is one of the few girls I think came out on top after her boob job. Most boob jobs look horrible, but Erica had some weird looking ones back in the House of the Dead days. And I like that there's some sag. Sag is realistic, even if they aren't real. People sag, it's a fact of life. I hate that so many people expect plastic barbie dolls that never sag. :(

IT was EXACTLY a filler episode. And a bad one at that (have I mentioned that before?)

So, we met Dr. Fine? So ?? what about him? well, he doesn't like Lex - well, who does??

So, we learn that LuthorCorp is conducting "bad" experiments - how is that breaking news - we knew that. Personally, I find the cloning little girls to be a little more extreme than killing marine life (I know, the big picture/ecosystem, whatever). What about abusing dogs? Lex knew about that too. What about the Levitos program - Lex was directly involved with that. What about the "experiment" from Scare that almost killed half the town? Lex and/or LuthorCorp/LexCorp being involved in illegal/immoral experiments is not new. (Is LexCorp still around?)

So, Clark decides "for the first time" to go after Lex -- Umm.. the last time Clark saw Lex, HE BEAT THE HELL OUT OF HIM!!! Now, he has simply reverted to writing more "papers". That was actually one of the problems with this episode, that Clark walks in to have "a friendly" conversation with Lex.

Clark DOES still believe in the good in Lex - that's why he went back the second time, and made the comment about being "worried" about Lex, and the "path" Lex is on. The second conversation seemed more like Clark reaching out to be friends again.

if anything, Lois might have made a reference to it.

but since the episode specifically mentions that it has been a few months since the last episode, the other characters like Lana and Chloe would have already been happy, suprised, elated, etc, that Clark was resurrected.
