I loved that scene. xD At the end, when they were zooming out.. The color scheme for it was Blue/Red/Yellow. xDD

Lois was wearing Blue, Clark red, and the barn is mostly yellowish.

Supposed to be like that? Or just co-incidense?

I 've noticed that as the camera pulled away from them , they were standing side by side each not exactly touching each other but none the less in the loft scene . I thought that was even better forshadowing of Clois.

The end scene between the two of them could have been really corny, but I think they pulled it off!! I think they make a great Lois and Clark!! :p

I hate to say it becuase it doesnt make any sense and it makes me come off as sexist but it really bothered me seeing Lois kissing someone else. I dont know why but i felt like she was cheating on Superman which obviously she's not. And no, I have no problem with clark sleeping with lana. I cant explain it, its just how I felt.

I thought that it was great to actually see Lois soften up to someone, even if it wasn't Clark, and it was because of him being someone that was more interested in saving the world than in owning it. The kissing scene was done really cutely, with Lois getting a little snappy, and then pouncing on him. Great to see her at the end be more soft and girly than hard and stony.

but why was the lana scene so short? i'm worried how clarks warmin' up to lois mow. they sure as hell better not EVER get rid of lana. btw. whats up with lois's mouth?

I loved the Clois though I was honestly hoping for something a bit more direct. They dropped a lot of fun things to pick up on like the colors and the whole "blue looks good on me" but I was hoping for something that actually happened between them. There was the jealous remark and the loft scene and the loft scene didn't develop anything between them now, just another hint at the future. Not saying that I wanted them to end up together this episode or anything, but it would've been nice to move their friendship a little closer. In my head during her last scene with AC, I was hoping he'd say something about Clark. Oh well, Clois still has Exposed to move things along for me.

I kinda wanted A.C to pimp Clark to Lois at the end. There seems to be alot of pimping on the show but never with the right couple.

I think their friendship is devolping nicely. I mean Lois has never been as open with Clark as she was in the loft. It was nice to see and Clark sure knows how to comfort his woman, even if she's not his woman yet. And yes I think Exposed will be an interesting ep in the development of Clark and Lois.

Im also glad that they had a shot of lana being worried about Lois living with Clark again. I've been saying this for weeks.

Yeah I think it would have been great if AC would have put in a good word for Clark.

Maybe tell Lois that he thinks Clark really cares for her, and that Clark tried to save her as well.

Once again Clark gets no credit.

At least in the end of the episode it was Clark (and not AC) that got to have that touching heart to heart with Lois.

She really opened up to Clark this time, more than she ever has in the past.

This is by far the best Clois episode of the series. And I loved it! I loved how Clark seemed unsettled that AC saved Lois and not him, I loved his reaction to walking in on Lois and AC kissing (Clark to Chloe: "Lois is all over this guy!"), and especially his game of 20 questions at the Talon. You could tell how much it was bugging Lana, she just had this look on her face. It was priceless!

And that ending scene was so sweet! Gosh, the Clois in this episode was SO good!

i agree completely. i was so glad we got to see lois' softer side in this ep. there truly was so much clois tonight that i agree this is the best clois episode so far (patiently waiting for Exposed, though ;) )...

the scene at the end was awesome. the colors were classic. the dialogue was great, not too cheesy, but it was enough to hint at their futures. erica and tom do make a great lois and clark. clark comforted lois the way he should right now, like a friend, but becoming a more caring friend, and lois didn't smart off to him when he did. she's gradually opening up more to clark. i think tonight we really got to see a glimpse of what the future lois lane will be like.

one note: i thought lana's reactions, both at the lake and in the Talon, were priceless. at the lake when lois said she was staying with the kents again, you could see lana was upset. again, at the Talon, after clark left to go after AC, lois turned to lana and said "i don't know how you put up with him, lana." and lana didn't say anything. she just sat there. that really makes me wonder about the clana and how much longer it's gonna be around. it's a shame clark didn't save lois...who knows what lana's reaction would've been if she had to watch clark give lois mouth-to-mouth ;)

hey loved this scene... Beautiful... Lois really opened up to Clark even if it was just a tiny bit. Felt sad for her though, but ah.. the reference in the colour scene was a nice touch, they both looked really good together... and him saying what he said was amazing... I can't wait to seee more scenes of these two... Lana looked liked she wanted to punch Lois when she said she was moving back in with the Kents...hehe funny

Yeah, they're So meant for each other. Right. So they can hurry up and go nowhere together. On one of the DVDs there was a bonus were Al & Miles talked about the "look" of Smallville. They make very conscience decisions in regards to color.

The Kent Farm is always sunny and yellow.

Clark's usually in Blue or Red, and in HS was in the Red & Yellow halls. Go Crows!

In Seasons 1-3 Lana was usually in Pink. (Allison Mack made a cute comment that when her and Kristin would go shopping, if she saw something she liked but it was in pink, she would always ask if it came in another color, cause she was sick of wearing pink  ). In Season 4 she was usually in black (I think this represented her growing up and distance from Clark).

Chloe is usually in some form of red. Pete was usually in red or blue.

Lex's colors are black & purple.

Metropolis/LuthorCorp are meant to look more cold/gray/sterile.

Now Lois is also in Superman colors, usually Blue.

I think the Clois was great. I love the foreshadowing of their future together. I'm totally into the Clana but I know that is destined to end. And as I was previously a LnC fan, I know and look forward to the Clois, even though we won't see that in this show. But I think that this scene was acted out greatly. Lois opens up to him and allows herself to be vulnerable. She doesn't do that with anyone else. They are obviously meant for eachother. And I loved when he said she would find someone even better one day. I was like and 'it's me.' (Speaking for Clark):D

What I find funny about the scene is when Clark says she'll meet somebody more special than him. I know he was trying to comfort her but a simple, I'm sure you'll meet someone like him again would suffice. He had to add in "more" and well does Clark really think that is possible? A guy with powers who is looking to save the world and can, they are unique so I find it odd that he would say that. Unless he was really just referring to himself.

I think Clark means that Lois can find a normal guy who is more special to her than A.C was. He doesnt neccessarily have to a superhero.

"Aqua" was the episode where Clark Kent's feeling for Lois started to come into the open. (and he doesn't even realizes it) Their was no Question Clark was happy to see Lois back in town (even thought he said he would like to kill her with a pillow.) Clark was Jealous when Arthur saved Lois's life and Lois was starting to fall in love with Arthur. (Chloe saw it.) (Lana saw it.), (Lois saw it.) I think (Arthur himself saw it.)

I really enjoyed The ending it was a nice Lois & Clark Forshadowing of their Future romance together.

Couldn't help but notice, there has been some talk in this thread about those colors (red, blue, yellow).

Some may know of the "history" behind those 'super' colors, but for those who do not:

In the Kryptonian culture, family heirarchy is identified by colors. In the case of the "House of El", Red would by worn and stand for the father/leader of the clan--Jor-El; Blue is worn by the birth mother Lara; and Yellow the subordinate color by of course little Kal-El.

Hence the colors represented in Superman's outfit---red and blue the predominate colors indicating him taking on his (Jor-El's) father's/mother's mandate as guardian of Earth. Yellow (Kal-El) the lessor color highlighting his Superman outfit.

But the color referencing throughout the entire Saga is of course brilliant!!!

It's fun to watch a TV series that has so many levels of meaning. One of the first things that caught my eye on this series was its wonderful use of colors. Of course, the obvious use of blue, red, and yellow with Clark's wear, but the subtle color combinations are also fun to witness. How the locker room at the high school had red and yellow lockers with a blue floor, how Clark wears a certain combination of blue, red, and yellow combined with Pete and/or Chloe's differing but complimenting colors of blue, red, and yellow.

I thought the use of Lois's blue shirt with Clark's red in this episode was especially nice. Although the dialogue makes the foreshadowing obvious, the clothing adds a subtle compliment. Great touch.

I too liked the scene between Clark and Lois at the end. I really think Erica Durance is underrated; she constantly spices up the episodes she is in. Her "and those are my good qualities" line to AC in this episode was an especially memorable moment. Durance has flair and a relish for her role not seen much on many TV series. And I also like the chemistry she has with Welling. Rough around the edges, but there's something inside worth waiting for.

Agree! :)

Can't really say I'm a huge Lois and Clark fan, yet at least.
I'm more tense about how long Lana and Clark's relationship is gonna last. This is definately a stage where Lana should have known his secret...
With that meaning Chloe and Clark's friendship, her being his only non-family member around him knowing his secret.
Aswell as Lois and Clark's "unconscious love".
Things don't look too promising for Lana and Clark, but we'll see...

But about that scene, I was like "OMG" just after the Superman score finished... that was a great scene. Agree with the use of colors, the chemistry and that stuff, beautiful! :)
And I too was very surprised about Lois in this episode... her time away from Smallville must have done her good =)

It's time for clark to just dump lana, that whole thing is starting to get old. Even clark has to see how incredibly hot Lois is. Clark is a smart guy though, he makes the right choice in the end.

Ryb, very well said.

Did anyone else also love how she delivered the line 'It looks like flipper threw up'. Just the way she said it and her movements. I was rolling.

I loved that line :rotfl: I loved ALL the foreshadowing in the episode, I loved that almost every scene they were in Clark and Lois had the red and blue on :D

I love how Lana was basically shunted this entire episode. Anytime Lana was in the same scene as Lois, she was barely noticed! Lois just steals her spotlight, flat out!

i thought it was just plain weird n random. i mean i know what theyre trying to do but at the very end when they were zooming it out and it looked like it was gonna end but then suddenly clark arkwardly puts his hand on lois shoulder and they both look uncomfortable.

Well, it's very possible that they weren't comfortable. They don't have a lot of heart-to-hearts, and that was the biggest one they've had together yet. It was probably very odd for the two of them, who are used to their care-free banter-type relationship. I like how they did it, it adds to their underlying emotion towards each other. Tastefully done, in my opinion.

Yea know its like all anyone ever does anymore is rag on these characters; Lois is too skinny , Chloe is too chunky , Clarks not ripped enough , its horrible, but I guess its understandable cause every guy on this forum must have a ripped 6 pack and every girl must be a perfect size 6. Allison is beautiful, Erica has a amazing glow about her and Tom has an awesome body and Kristin is lovey.

And I thought this was a great secne cause Clark was being a real friend and comforting her
