They referenced Bart.....sort of. Clark never really said his name but he did allude to him. All of this continuity is really starting to creep me out. Its almost like the writers actually pay attention.

I really hope Bart's fresh in their mind due to some comeback in the near future.... I hope.

In the allusion to Bart, Clark said he met him "last year." I thought that was in season 3 making that two years ago.

Nope, he met Bart in season 4, making it last year.

Yea he's not gonna say his name to Chloe tho. Clark will protect the identities of other people. Nothing like "Yea you remember that kid Bart who was hitting on you last year? Well he can run a hell of a lot faster than I can."

I thought the same thing. Clark was respecting Bart's secret to a degree.

There was this kid last year, kind of ran to fast for his own good."
That was a clever placement

you thought this episode had continuity? I don't even know where to begin. No one regards him having been SHOT and rising from the DEAD. And Clark doesn't even remember that someone is gonna die? Gosh, those Smallvillians are stupid.

Actually that's a good point about Clark protecting Bart's identity. I didn't think of that, either.

Regarding Smallvillians, I don't think events like that freak anyone out as much, with all the FOTW's, etc.

Though I must admit the total lack of a scar is EXTREMELY apparent with Clark this episode. Not really covering it up. :p

I was overjoyed when they mentioned Bart, or just said "Remember last year...". My Dad goes, "What? Continuity, for real?"

He had on a bandage to "cover" the scar (read: non scar). He didn't "remember" or mention the future death because... really, why dwell on it. Who is he gonna tell? Ma or Pa Kent... hey one of you might die because I came back to life? He obviously hasn't told Lana anything, so that's not gonna happen for him to tell her SHE could die. I'm sure he just wants to enjoy his loved ones and hope for the best. Would YOU tell a loved one, "Hey, my biological father MIGHT kill you in the near future"... think about it. :) That's not really a good conversation starter.

Loved the references to Bart. I noticed too that Clark kept Bart's identity secret.

Then again if Chloe knows Clark can run faster then a speeding bullet... he could tell her if she thinks badly of Bart since he can run faster... or something along those lines

Yeah I didn't notice the bandage until the second time I watched the episode. :)
