Who called the paramedics??

After watching the episode a second time, somthing dawned on me that didn't the first time around. After Clark is shot, who called the paramedics that took Clark to the hospital? They were out in the middle of nowhere, so there weren't any witnesses. Also, with how concerned Chloe was and the way she worded it to Gabriel "Clark could die out there" she didn't have a chance to contact 911 either. It kind of bugs me that they didn't explain how Clark conviently wound up at the hospital.

If you listen closely, the nurses tell each other that a farmer near by heard a gunshot.

I guess. You can hardly hear it though, so it's understandable.

I couldn't hear the farmer mention but I heard something about "found on highway 7" or something like that.

i didn't hear the farmer part either...but i did hear the whole highway...male..18..gunshot wound to the chest...massive bleeding part
