Me and my roommate were cracking up on this clip. This sounded so stupid its like saying after lana and clark had sex "If you are just joining us clark has now become a man"

I'm actually surprised to see them still doing these episode catch-ups as I like to call them, but I have to agree the comments they make are down right funny when it comes down to it.

I actually think it's a sign of TPTB caring about even the casual viewer - while the context here was funny, I'm glad they're doing it, in regards to the show's ratings, this is something that helps, I'm sure. Not that I ever show up anytime after opening credits, myself. :P

lol, i'm always in the front row when the Smallville comes on, I don't miss a second. I even tape it so I can watch it all week, until another ep comes on, and then I do the same thing all over again.

I am not digging these "catch-ups" as I think they're awfully cheesy.

At very least, they're not including, "...on a whole new, fresh, Smallville."

I have a problem with the "a whole-new fresh Smallville." It sounds like an informercial for freshly squeezed orange juice or something.

As for the update thing mid-show, I don't think it's cheesy at all, but I did find it funny that the voice said that. It's SNL material, that's for sure.

Yeah my friends and I thought that was hilarious. I said that people tuning in must think that smallville was going to be over after this episode.

We laughed at that one, too.

The other two weeks had a mini-synopsis. This one was just a random phrase.

"Clark Kent has been shot"

Hehe. Has the same impact as: "If you've just joined us: You've missed the first 20 minutes" or "If you've just joined us, Chloe's last name is Sullivan" in terms of its combination of understatement and statement of the obvious.

I'm so glad I decided not to edit those inclusions from the eps.

I found it funny because making a BIG deal out of Clark Kent being shot is weird. I'm sure people who were just joining for the first time were confused at that statement too. "Shot? so...? He's bulletproof, isn't he?"

Oh, and yeah, the farm boy stopped pitching hay and sowed some oats, but still can't see the outrageous beauty of Chloe Sullivan.....oops, took too long, time now for more commercials....
