Funny to see Clark fully dressed in his "Clark Suit" in the FOS. Who would've thought Jor'EL would stock them.

well he should have enough after all the clothes jor-el stole from people(clark when he was becoming kal-el and "kara" and maybe even more) he should be able to clothe anyone.

I just think it was because it's what he was wearing when he lost his powers, but I don't know.

What I want to know is how Lionel/Jor-El was dressed up in a suit? Did he stop off at Luthor Mansion to visit the taylor before making his way to the FOS?

Ah, yes. A first look at misdirected continuity for the season. Looks to me like it was filmed in addition to other FOS scenes from the season's first episode.
Let's hope he got Clark some clean underwear too.
Nothing more embarrassing that Super skidmarks!

Already beat you to it CLS.. I was the first one to officially point it out... Ha Ha..
But seriously though, it really bugged me when Lionel/Jor-El was dressed in a suit.

LOL, yeah, but in an episode this good, you can overlook some of this stuff.

There might be some sci-fi explanation of it. No doubt Kryptonian science could have manufacturered clothing for Lionel and Clark.

it would have been cool to see clark wake up in the superman suit with a kryptonian 's'

I'm not a big enough Superman fan to know whether this is a "find" or not. But it seems like when Superman wore his suite or clothes that nothing could burn/rip the clothes.
When Clark got back from destorying the missle...his clothes were all black and torn.
Just struck me as odd.

I thought the same exact thing.

It was really funny to see Clark in FOS now dressed in his own clothes. I thought he would be in something from Krypton not the old jacket and plaid.

Well I don't know how consistant it's been throughout the years, but Superman's aura has protected him (and others) from atmospheric effects while flying at high speeds, but not from everything. Bullets don't bounce off his aura, but off his skin. Same as falling to the Earth, his clothes are going to go through some trauma there, too.
Wow, of all the complaints I've heard about "Hidden", this one takes the cake as the most nitpicky. Though, I'm not sure I'd label this as a complaint based on the tone of this thread.
I agree with EDGE740. I think both were wearing the clothes they were wearing during Commencement/Arrival. Kind of as a symbol that they are wearing the same thing when one obtained new powers (Jor-El as Lionel) while the other lost them (Clark loses powers) and, of course, the resolution (Jor-El gives Clark the powers back). I actually thought that was a nice touch.
I don't know why the clothes bothered people. It's not as if it would take that long for Jor-El to change his clothes and to change Clark's clothes and then head off to the FOS.

I was hoping for Jor-El to dress Clark in his Superman costume and dress Lionel with some Kryptonian costume. That would be far more convincing.

There's no reason. It's just to make it look better. If clark had been in a sheet, and lionel in the little straight jacket, it would look weird and we'd be complaining that it looked "off". So they put the clothes in. Made the scene better in my opinion.

Yep, Kryptonian technology can:
1) Bring mortals back from the dead
2) Teleport people 1/4 of the way across the globe
3) Give humans the solar enhanced abilities of kryptonians
4) Make kryptonians practically human
----
But make clothes?!?!?!?! No way.
*sarcasm off*
(Now personally, I am complaining about some of those "can do's" rather than this "cant")

The aura around supes, only protects material just above the surface of his skin.

Anybody recall what Clark was wearing when he got sucked into the cave wall? He ended up naked and curled in the fetal position to be "reborn". The clothes may have been stuck in the portal, not at the FOS. And, Lionel probably had a set of clothes at Belle Reve, not the FOS. I just love how we love to discuss stuff like this.....

Yeah I think it's come down to beating a dead horse. Or whatever Krypton had for horses.... ;)
