WELL I PERSONALLY think its gonna be chloe because she knows his secret and still loves him i think..
it can't be lana or lois for obivious reasons

i don't think Johnathan will die til the series finale of smallville

so it has to be chloe

Rayje

I think it will be Martha based on spoilers. I think Clark will save the day though and no one will die.

i agree that it will be chole and johnthon will die later

SupermanLivesAgain
10-13-2005, 08:36 PM
Well it can't be martha because she's still alive when johnathan dies.. so it has to be either chloe or johnathan.. They could bring alicia back and kill her again.. but i don't see that happening LOL

it probably won't happen until the end of the season, but i think it could be either of the three mentioned. (i just hope the producers learned their lesson after taking off Pete, but prob not) Anyway, isn't it interesting that this season is exactly like season 4 in the sense that in both Clark didn't do what he was supposed to in the premiere, and it's gonna have dire consequences in the finale (or that's my guess for S5)

I Know, I know. Maybe it is Clark and Lana's unborn baby. They may not have been as safe as they thougt they were.

SupermanLivesAgain

well i belive clark is going to be given a choice and he's going to have to live with the consquences of that choice.. we may have seen part 1 of that choice tonight..

either way.. someone close to clark will die and it will suck for all smallville fans :/

There was the talk before the season began that Johnathon Kent was going to be killed off before the new season ends. That little issue was supposed to have been rectified, but I don't know what the final outcome was, someone else might know though.

However, it really is going to depend on what version of Superman they are following - the one from the current run in the comics, or the one from the movies.

If it's the comics, then Clark's parents are alive and mostly well. Which means, the character that doesn't exist outside the show (Chloe) will be gone eventually. If they're following the movie version, then Johnathon will be the one.

Of course, to add to the speculation, the movie version of Superman didn't have Clark in a full blown relationship with Lana Lang (unless you count Superman III), but the comic version did. In the show we have Clark in a relationship with her now, and even going so far as to be intimate with her, something that has been done in the comic version. That leads me to speculate that Chloe is going to be the one that is going to die which would suck - she's a great character.

It all depends on the TPTB I guess....

I hate waiting. :(

Well i did here that dc comics bought the rights the character chloe sullivan .. so she could appear in the comics sooner or later.. well just have to see

but that could lead to problems with the death of chloe if those rumours are proved to be true

I think it would be Jor El, whatever is left of Jor El will be sacrificed for bringing back Kal El, Jor El must have sacrificed himself to bring back his son. Jor El is not God that he would write some humans fate, but least he could do for his son is to sacrifice himself to save him.

it won't be Chloe, she is to important to Clark.

I seriously think it is going to be Pa Kent.

lol ya.. had to love the look tonight though..
But i though about it.. it could be jor-el
but who's gonna teach him in the fortress.. Lara?
we have yet except that one dream seqence of the voice of lara
i think she might take over for Jor-el
Lol watch her look exactly like chloe :D I HOPE SO :d

The first person I thought of was Pa Kent. Just basing it off the movie, though. Jonathan dies before Clark even goes to the Fortress of Solitude to complete his training as Superman, so I'm just guessing it'll be Jonathan. Not to mention, Jor-El has always had his sights set on poor Bo Kent.

But I also agree that Chloe will die by the end of the series. If she doesn't, that will just make the entire Superman mythos awkward, what with Lois being the hot-shot reporter of the Daily Planet and Clark only having eyes for her.

But if it's true that Chloe will later turn up in the DC comics...then who knows?

Yea man there are so many possibilities...all i know is that if they kill of a main character, i will cry. Yes, a man can cry.

It will either be Pa Kent or complete death(purged) of Jor El.

Due to Chloe actually getting the "loft scene" usually devoted to Clana, I contracted the sinking feeling that she will be the one to take the fall. However, based on the overall, I think Bo Kent is as good as dead.

SupermanLivesAgain
10-13-2005, 09:44 PM
Rofl Bo Kent thats a good one.. When he dies there needs to be the General Lee Honk LOL.
Yeah i Think Lara will take over if it is Jor-el And if chloe dies Lara could look a little like the little reporter we come to love :D

I know that certian comics have Jonathan living but I feel that for all the liberties TPTB take with the mythos , they keep certian parts the same... Jonathan dying is one of those. Its the popular choice everyone and anyone whos seen the movies knows Jonathan dies.

SupermanLivesAgain
10-13-2005, 10:22 PM
yup .. to bad it has to be Bo Kent :D That just sounds so weird

Poetic Chaos

Yeah, I think it comes down to those two as well. I'm hoping it's Pa because I love Chloe too much, especially this season. And it would tie in to the movie which I've heard they've been trying to do. I think he's done what he can for Clark.

I like the idea of it being Jor-el though. If Clark finally starts to accept him, even love him and calls him dad, that'd be a sweet way to end their relationship. Plus Jor-el's goodbye to him tonight did have a bit of finality to it.

I've just read a rumor somewhere that JS is only in 8 episodes this season. Does anyone know if that is true or not?

If so, it doesnt bode well for JK. Episode #8 is Solitude which has an ominous sound to it. And if JK doesnt appear in few episodes between #4 and #8 (we know he is in Exposed), this could lead to one of the major shockers in 5.12 which it the 100th episode.

I really really hope "Jor-El" takes the fall. I like all the other characters a bunch =/

I just dont see that happening after tonite..

Danelle
10-13-2005, 10:36 PM
I just like that Jor-El's "I love you" came out of Lionel's mouth. Wouldn't you love to see Lex walk in on something like that? What would he think?

Kal-El 2005

Well it certainly can't be Jor-El, Clark doesn't love him!

GatorTex

I certainly hope it's not Lana for the strict purposes on the show taking a major turn from the comics/movies. That would suck MAJORLY!

Oh, I don't think you need worry about the writers killing off their precious Lana.

No, she's here to stay, until Clark embraces his destiny, leaves her cute little butt behind, and realizes Lois is the only one for him. ;)

I believe that Chloe or Jonathan will be the ones who will die this Season.
"Chloe Sullivan" was never a character in the Superman legacy, where Lana Lang is still alive. His father Jonathan died before he build the Fortress of Solitude. I think one, if not both of those characters will die this Season, with Lois Lane taking over for Chloe as a journalist at the ' Daily Planet"...and Clark, after the Death of Chloe transfers to Met U from Kansas State College and also becomes a journalist and finds a job for the "Daily Planet", which will lead to his Destiny, become Superman and fall in love with Lois Lane, whose character falls in love with Superman. You could see the gleem in her eyes when she saw the power or strength of Clark in one episode last year before her memory was deleted by this guy, who thought he had killed his brother but finds out at the end that his father was the killer and the one who also had deleted his memory to cover himself of the killing of his other son.
Lois says with a huge smile.."I guess I shouldn't be calling you Smallville anymore".

The mythos changes all the time guys and gals. Pa Kent dies before he becomes Superman, but in later comics we see Supes interacting with Pa before, during, and after his "death".

The great thing is, that Chloe may well become part of the ongoing mythos in all realms. We should look forward to seeing how all this gets played out.

You gotta admit, it'll be hard to see either character go to the great beyond. They each had such great chemistry with Clark.

That's all because in 1986 Superman recieved a reboot. His origins were changed along with the source of his powers amongst other things. Pa Kent is now alive and well having never died. This is also when his powers became a result of the sun.

If the show follows what's mainly been done and told about from the comics and all that, the only logical person to die would be Clarks dad, Jonathan Kent has to die if they want this show to properly follow the "Superman" story line, Just like Spiderman for example comic;ben dies Peter becomes spiderman, superman; Jonathan has to die for clark to properly become Superman:D

If it came down between those too, I hope we get to keep Pa Kent. Even though he gets P.O.'d a little too easy, I still think he's the heart (moral center) of the show.

Everyone!

Note Jor-El's words to Clark in the FOS

"...the life force which was given to you will be taken from someone...someone you love...will die"

Based on past episodes and affirmations, both in action AND verbally of Clark ask yourselfs which one of these: (please note the joining word---AND)

Pa Kent?
Ma Kent?
Pete Ross?
Lana Lang?
Chloe Sullivan?
Shelby the dog?
Lois Lane?

Between Jonathan and Chloe I think Jonathan would be most likely to die, Chloe (AM) has a larger fan base. With everything Jonathan has been through it would make sense:(

Let Chloe die first, Jonathon later. All these Chlarkers need to be put to bed, forget about it. There is only one Lois Lane we have no room for a Lois Lite rip off. I know they are cousins but Lois is the one with the destiny to fulfill and Chloe is walking Lois's path right now and there's only room for one.

Die Chloe Die!

I love Chloe but I think that she is the one who will die. Her death will be so traumatic to Clark. It will probably be the cause for him to accept his destiny as Superman.

ARRRGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do leave us CHLOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to add one other note, beside my obvious fanacticism of Chloe/Allison Mack!

I may speak for some, but I am having a whole lotta FUN on this message board.

Such an enduring and endearing story that has captured our hearts and imaginations of the Man of Steel, has invoked our passions---pro or con; good or bad!!

Onward!!!!!

What? I was always under the impression Jonathan was alive for a long time! I know there are different versions of comic books, but in the ones I read, he was alive when Superman died because he had a heart attack.

In the movies he died when Clark was young, though.

yeah in some versions he is dead, some he is alive, and if TPTB are going by the movies......then he should be dead already because Clark was still in High School

From these names, IF, they follow the Superman Saga, AS THey claim they do, the names that aren't in Clark Kent's future being dead are Pa Kent, Chloe Sullivan. Everyone else plays a role in his life after he becomes Superman. Even Ma Kent. Remember when he got a job at the Daily Planet he used to send money to his mom, so she was alive. We know that Lana Lang goes on and marries and lives during the years of Superman and of course Pete Ross and the beautiful Lois Lane whom he falls in love with but she in turn falls in love with Superman..I guess her weak point, even in Smallville is men who have powers and strength and are above other men....By the way she loves both these characters, his dad and the love he has for Chloe (who was the reason why he lost his powers to begin with by begging Jor=El to let him save her and return to Smallville) as a friend.

You're all forgetting that all this mess about losing, regaining his
abilities and the consequences are the cause and blame of Chloe.

Clark though has been portrayed in Episode 3 by the producers of the show as a dummy. Chloe actually is to blame of a lot of negative things in his life, from being responsible of Alicia's death and a lot more. Now the producers place Lana to the side and give the limelight and screen time to Chloe, and to run Superman's life...Com on....give me a break... This will not only kill one of these characters but deffinatelly will kill the show. The attraction to Smallville is three fold....Clark & Lana, Jonothan & Martha Kent and Lex Luthor. Last year they brought in Erica as Lois Lane who became a favorite with the fans.
Take any of these characters off the show and you killed it immediately. Why some of you are so stubborn when the trurth is right in front of you. First, besides this site which I believe is full of youth, the majority of the viewers know this.
Example.....who from all the characters on Smallville have made movies as a result of their fame (which means also importance) on Smallville. Only 2...Tom Welling.... "The Fog" with the girl Maggie Grace from Lost and Kristin Kruek who made 2 movies during Season 4 and Season 5.... Nobody else.....

**************************************************

Yes but it wasn't her choice to be in the caves....and she had no idea that she would be transported to a place where she could easily freeze to death. If anything Lex is to blame, he dragged her there, and she was still playing cover up for Clark even then.

The blame is not on her. She was not aware of the limitations Jo-rel put on him.....so naturally she told him to go and help the people of Smallville.

The thing is.....where was Lois during the first 3 seasons? The show seems to have survived just fine during that time. Tom Wellington was the reason I originally didn't watch the show. I saw pictures of him that just didn't look right for a young Clark Kent to me.....but then when I saw..."Craving".....he became the reason I started watching, but Allison Mack as Chloe is what's totally glued me to this show. Throw in Rosenbaum, Glover, and Erica.....and all I can say is that glue has now become cement....but make no mistake...for me....the initial ingredient for this cement is still the Scooby Doo team of Chloe & Chlark.

P.S. Speaking of Scooby Doo team.....I really miss Pete....yeah the Trio was great to.

Nobody HAS to die if Jor-El meant that he was sacraficing himself. That way, the life force has already been taking and everyone else can live.

Honestly, thinking about the episode again, I'm not sure if anyone will die, at least not soon.

Here are my current thoughts:

Chloe will die before Smallville ends. My guess is she will die in one of the last three episodes of the series and will be used to boost Lois Lane's journalistic desires and Clark Kent's Superman destiny. Chloe's death could be at the hands of Lex, which would really lay on the mythology.

Jonathan Kent will probably also die, but his death could be sooner than Chloe's. I imagine Jonathan will be seen helping Clark even after his death, though, so I don't know if JK's death will necessarily be JS's exit of the show.

Lana Lang dying is a stretch. My guess is the writers will use her role to create the bigger divide between Lex and Clark.

Pete Ross dying? Maybe, but I don't think the writers will use him in this instance. A return on the show is possible although not probable. I just keep thinking of one of his conversations with Lex.

Is the death Clark's mortality? Quite possibly, but that's not the impression I got from the last Clark/Chloe scene. But giving up his mortality may, in fact, be Clark's darkest hour.

I guess I don't really know, but I'll be sitting in front of the TV each Thursday to find out.
