And when she finally closed her lips she stuck them out like a foot and a half! No really! I swear!!! (Ok maybe my tv is too big, but I am starting to wonder if she is human!)

And what is up with the "every single second has to be the most passionate moment ever so I will close my eyes as tight as I can" face?

Dont get me wrong, I am not a Clana hater (since Blank), but somebody get Tom a towel to dry is lower face off!

And the reason it looks like Kristin was doing all the eating is because the camera was on her most of the time while they were kissing.

LOL! My sister and I have been saying the same thing when Clana kiss. I think it actually looks really awkward. I think it has to do with the fact that they both have big, juicy lips so when they kiss it's just lips everywhere. Plus, it looks like they are going out of their way not to look like they are frenching, so they just suck on eachother's lips instead. But I don't care, I was just so happy to see them together again.

Man, why does Tom have to be married. I really want him and Kristin together in real life, they're adorable.

I'd like to blame the director - Terrance O'Hara, but the love scenes with Lex and various women and even Chloe and Clark in his "Bound" were watchable. Even the dream sequence between Clark and Lana in the lake in "Slumber was better than than the kissing scenes in "Mortal".

It's generally acknowledged in actor interviews that it's very difficult to make love scenes "look right" without extensive coaching, careful lighting and camera work AND a lot of practice. Also, kissing scenes are specifically the worst because everyone remembers how kisses "feel" but forgets how sloppy and silly they look to the outside observer. I think someone kept telling Tom and Kristin "more passionately" and never explained the different ways that "passion" could be portrayed in a lip-lock.

and........in the spell commentary, i remember allison saying somthing about the clana kiss. she said that after they shot the kiss, everyone on set were like ooookaaaay...haha and its funny how u don't hear kristin say a word about it.

For whatever reason, the one thing that sticks out in my mind when Clark and Lana kiss is how huge Tom Welling's lips are. He always dominates the kiss because his lips are so frickin' huge and they swallow her.

Yeah, right! hee hee ....... why do you think he didn't clean himself up before he got there? He wanted some serious sympathy ;) I mean, how many times has Lana got to see him bleed? I think Clark likes TC more than any of the rest of us :lol:

Also ....... I agree that KK's kissing seemed a bit exaggerated because the camera was usually on her face, not his, so you see his lips too, but it often looks like an extension of hers. Funny. Still very hot, if you ask me.

A big thing to also consider is that if this was real life kissing, there'd be a lot more going on, open mouth wise .... but they can't do that on the WB. So, the lips are all they have to make it look passionate -- they have to exaggerate a bit.

As for the WB comment, look at the scene in the barn. Lana was literally on top of him. For a second there, I thought I was watching 90210. Dawson's Creek had those types of scenes, so I don't see any reason for why this show can't push the same buttons.

Chloe did the exact same thing to Clark in Devoted. There have been naughtier scenes on Smallville, that's for sure. This was nothing compared to Unsafe (total trash imo, for the future Superman), or what about Relic? Clark and Chloe in the Talon? Scare, on the couch?

This was just the first time the real Clana got a little crazy, so I think that's the only reason it might be a bit shocking for some. I thought it was nicely done, and reflected both the angst free relationship they have now, as well as their true love for one another. There's not another time that Clark has ever seemed so happy and content. I loved that.

Hhehe Maybe this is too deep, but I thought it was very interesting that Clark made love to Lana with the blood from his fight with Lex still on his skin. Nice juxtaposition.

I also really liked the difference between the Clana scene in the loft and the scene in the Talon. Like in the loft they were both really cute and playful and obviously a little bit nervous. But in the Talon, it seemed as if Clark had done a lot of thinking after what happened with Lex, and I for one, loved this scene, simply because of the different looks they were giving each other and the way it all played out. Great acting and writing, IMO.

And also, I think their kisses are great! Tom's lips are a little full, but that is a great feature, if you ask me. ;)

She was more passionate in kissing him initially but he caught up with the moment and responded passionately... didn't care to look too closely to this one...he obviously got into the act after the first few kisses, when the shirt came off, I think
