Instead of coming up with a big elaborate plot that's bound to go wrong, why doesn't Lex just put security cameras up in his mansion? He knows that things are always going on in the mansion, and that Clark's always getting into trouble there, so why not just put cameras up in his office?:p

Better yet the caves is other choice. I mean everything happens there. Put the cameras in the caves as well . He's sneaky enough.

He could even bug the Kent farm without them knowing it...

The mansion is a great idea. How many episodes has Clark supersped/used his powers there? Nicodemus, Red, Run, Onyx, Lucy, Commencement, Arrival...well, you get the picture. The cameras would have caught Bart Allen, too.

It seems that Smallville is made up of only-
The mansion, High school, Talon and the Kent farm.
Small enough to completely wifi.

Did you all miss the episode where Clark was caught on camera superspeeding? <Rogue, Season 1> - there was no way you could really see anything but a blur, really.

I find it funny how you can walk right into a billionaire's mansion and start hitting him in the face... Lex needs to invest in some home security, or at least lock his doors.

I'm sure Lex has a panic button type deal, and I'm sure the last person he would expect to use it on, exchanged punches or not, is Clark.

Yeah. The other point you neglect is it's very difficult to put security measures in effect to stop people who can walk through walls or other wonderful side effects of meteor rock exposure.

What makes it cool, however, is that Clark and Chloe found out about the "test", and Clark confronted Lex. That makes things very interesting indeed. Maybe Lex's curiosity will turn from clark ever so slightly.

Are you trying to say that maybe Chloe will be put under the microscope now? I could see that. After that conversation between she and Lex in the caves... "I think you know more than you're telling me, Chloe." "Stop asking questions, or I'll start asking some of my own, Lex!" ...sounds like Chloe is playing with fire and she's about to get burned.
Besides, while Clark and Lex may no longer be friends, it's obvious now that Lex now believes he was apparently wrong about Clark since their fight ended in bloodshed, and I think the a lot of the pressure may be off of Clark and his family.

Security camera's wouldn't catch Clark if he's on superspeed. He even said so himself in this episode. Maybe if the camera was pointed at the spot where Clark starts to superspeed or stops, then it would look like Clark suddenly (dis)appears and Lex would know something's up. But he allready knows that.

I don't believe for a second that Lex will leave Clark alone now. He knows something is different about him and now that he doesn't have to consider their friendship anymore there is no telling to what lenghts he will go to expose Clark.

Yeah, I gotta agree. Lex isn't bound by friendship, anymore. Alexander said as much in the barn, in Onyx. Now that the veil of friendship is gone, Lex is going to go HARD after Lana, Chloe, Clark, anything that has any meaning to Clark. This should be fun, EVIL! LEX!

OK, I suppose I didn't word that right. I'm not trying to say that Lex will leave Clark alone now, but maybe he'll back off a bit from Clark and focus on someone or something else for a bit (until Clark gets his powers back and stirs things up again.)

Maybe if Lex used that super intellect of his and added some audio recording devices along with his video surveillance he'd be better off.
Poor Lex, always one step behind.
