I'll never understand his "love" for Lana. I've been watching the Season 4 episodes on ABC Family and you see a major difference in Mack this year. Not to say that more meat on the body is a bad thing, but she was noticeably chubbier in the beginning of last season. She's trimmed down quite a bit.

If you think about it, looks are Lana's only redeeming quality. Anyone who likes Lana simply for her looks are as shallow and simple as she is. I can understand Clark's obession, but at least he wises up eventually and drops her.

Chloe has so much more going on, like intelligence.

I agree. I've always thought right from the 1st episode, if anybody should be with Clark, it's Chloe. On the other hand, she's probably too good for Clark. Clark may be the boy of steel and future Superman, but he's proved more than enough times how much of a jerk he can be. Chloe's always been a class act (with exception to the 2nd season? where she was falling all over Clark). Any guy would be lucky to be with Chloe. They better not write her out - EVER!

I've always had the impression that the original concept of Chloe was a second fiddle to Lana; Lana was supposed to be the focus and the more beautiful one. Chloe the well meaning reporter/friend. But AM has done such an incredible job right from S1 that so many have simply fallen in love with her (even if not the BDA). TPTB had to accept the fact that we are Chloe Worshipers and that her role must be expanded to showcase the talents and beauty of the wonderful AM.

You guys have hit the mark about Allison/Chloe and I couldn't AGREE more!!

To quote Ms. Mack herself in an interview(see link):

"She's totally in love with Clark, but she is his best friend so it's that awkward line of unrequited love," Mack explains. "She could never have him but she also doesn't want to have him because that would ruin their friendship. But she's always staring at him and wanting him and it's easy because Tom Welling is such a great guy. Also, it's a situation every girl can relate to. I think every girl has a best friend they are secretly in love with. That's a universal thing that people go through."

Looking back, Mack almost didn't get the chance to drool over her hunky co-star. This is great, I just watched Mortal here in Canada is we don't get the show until Sundays, and I was just gonna post a thread ion this but saw there was already 4 pages about this.That too was all I could focus on, how hot Allison Mack looked. Did anyone notice when Allison closes the gadget trunk and says "we all have our secrets Clark"? As soon as she says that line she grins & smiles a look at Clark.....I freeze framed it....WOW! Her Smile, her Cheeks, her Eyes.....I mean...just WOW! That is easily the most beautiful shot of Allison Mack ever!

A perfect example is the opening credits.....the second shot of her is one of the best I've ever seen of her....(I thought this same exact thought when I originially saw the episode where this scene occured), as well as the shot right before the Chloe/Lois shot. I always thought that her face looked prettier with fuller hair....as the flat her makes her look BORING. and like a little kid. But while she looks great in those two shots....her main pose is just.....ehhh. But that's just me.
