I also didn't notice Clark ripping open that door with the third element behind it, yet we saw it in the flashback to last episode.
I wonder if some of the scenes were cut out or down due to the Batman Begins trailer? Enquiring superminds want to know. :D

well i remember clark ripping the door off and tossing it like foam and the scenes you would not think were cut down since it was a very extended epi anyways..... did you see lex in the cave watching clark....

In the last episode of season 4, Clark did rip the vault door off to get to the third element. Remember, the loud sound it made, and Clark followed the sound that led his to Lex's vault, hence him ripping the door off. I am not too sure about Lex being able to see Clark's body in the light though. I might have to check on that tonight.

The scenes were cut and re-edited together. That is why when you saw the crystal in the arctic, it was floating down to his hand, that was really the scene where it floated up from his hand just before he grabbed and threw it, but they reversed it. The flashbacks aren't meant to show detail, just jist, and they tend to recut them sometimes.

granted but you don't think that Lex seeing this and Lex not seeing this is important enuff to maybe keep it straight..
we saw him wake up and see light then boom gone...
now with this new image he saw clark there and he knows he did not imagine this....big part to reedit for a intro rite...

You don't see him seeing Clark there, you guys are interpreting it as if you did. What you see is Lex seeing the light, and the next scene is of Clark standing in front of it. You don't see a scene of Lex watching Clark in the light all in the same frame. As I said, the scenes were recut so you can infer all you want, but whoever saw the scenes in their origin know how they actually were. If you were going to follow the scenes that were shown then you would think that certain events happened before others, because some previous episode clips were shown out of order.

in the recap of last season they flat out show clark standing IN the light and then pan past him to chloe watching and panned past her to lex watching the whole thing and boom the light blows up he gets knocked down bla bla bla...but they did not show that idea in the finale....they made us believe that he only saw the light.....the recaps show diff...

From what I remember, Lex sees Clark from behind with light all around him. It's not that obvious it's Clark though because there is too much light. I think Lex is fairly sure it's Clark but still has that niggling doubt.

Lex didn't see Clark, he just assumed that it was Clark in there. When he told Clark that he could have swore he saw him standing in that light it was just another test to see Clark's reaction. Lex knows that Clark lies as much as he does.

IN THE recaps he most certainly did see clark he saw chloe and clark then the light went boom and they were all gone when he got up....
when it originally aired, atleast on the version I have, we never seen clark ripping the door off, it basically just has chloe finding him on the ground passed out from the kryptonite.
When I seen it recently on E4 (uk channel) it had the door ripping scene in it.
was a little p**sed at this considering they bragged so much at the extended ep.

If Lex was really close enough to see Clark, he would have been trasnported to the North Pole just like Chloe was.

How would you know that maybe if you within 20-30 feet you went with him and lex was 50-75 feet away so he saw this not beieng transported...he said he could have sworn he saw Clark there...that in Lexese means hey you liar i saw you in the cave why were you there and where did you go....he just wanted to have clark open up to him just like chloe did....no with watching ppl superspeed away rite in front of him...he is 100% sure about clarks powers and origin...when he sees him bleed it may go down to 96% sure but he would not have had to been transported to see clark there....when else has Lex NOT known what he saw.....CLARK I KNOW YOU SECRET..... remember.... he may still know....

I'm sorry, but I don't take the "swearing" of Lex seriosuly, particularly when he has already shown that he would take advantage of his supposed "best friend's" amnesia to gain information about the caves. I think he just said that to test Clark.
I'm really looking forward to "Mortal"...luv the episodes where Clark doesn't have his powers (Leech, Asylum, etc.).
