Man, Lex is a busy guy, between dealing with kryptonians, finding lana, getting the ship into luthorcorp, going to god knows where to get chloe, of course after stopping to accuse clark...and that was after checking in on the kents. hahaha
He really gets around!

Chloe being checked in would have raised some electronic red flags which Lex could have easily have picked up on.
I guess a better question would be why did Clark suddenly forget Chloe and acted as if wasn't trapped?

Alaska is not 'halfway around the world'.

Just about, The Yukon is just above BC and Kansas is way in the deep middle US. And if we looked at Alaska that is even more so off just about Russia.

Half way around the world would be more like Russia or something.
Simply put, Clark told him.
He said hey Lex, Chloe's in a hospital up in the Yukon could you be a bud and pick her up?
Or not.

Why not? They're good friends.
LMAO... good friends my butt :)
dude.... i just can't imagine a way for this little plane ride to end well :) if i were chloe, i'd feign coma the entire way home....
"oh, i feel like i'm going to pass out!" thump. chloe hits the ground. plane lands "all better now! thanks for the lift, lex!"
yeah.... the plane ride shall hereafter be dubbed "the ride of uncomfortable silences"

Lex creeped me out in that scene. Chloe looked totally scared. He looks like he could just 'bump her off' and no one would know what happened to her. Pretty scary.

I wondered why there wasn't more to "how" our favorite villian found Ms. Sullivan!! But of course, it was the millions that got him there.

After finding the palm pilot that chloe had laying on the ground.
I am sure Lex with all of his power and connections was able to find her. It is Lex, you know already he could find almost anyone.

That's my big question. I mean for all Clark knows Chloe is stuck at a hospital in the middle of nowhere and he can't just zip up and get her, so what does he do? He goes to visit Lana. I mean come on, he left her there and forgot about her?
Lex can do pretty much anything, so it isn't surprising that he was able to find her, but when he questions the nurses won't he find out that Clark brought Chloe in?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I mean Waaaay thoughtless Clark! She didn't even have her purse with her. How was she supposed to get back? And it was like he didn't give her a second thought. He already saved Lana when he took her to the hospital, why not go and get Chloe while there was still a little time? Even if his powers gave up on the way back, she wouldn't have been alone at Lex's mercy.
On a side note: He is soo worried about people finding out his secret and the burden it places on the people who do know, yet he doesn't worry at all about the story Chloe is going to have to spin to her father when she asks him to wire her money... in ALASKA!!!
Another random thought/rant: He didn't even have to go and get Chloe then, he could have stopped by the hospital clued Chloe in on his plans and then went right to the FOS. He could have taken her back later. Although who knows how long Jor-El would have kept him sooo... Anyway... he should have gone back. Period.

Clark's powers were already gone then, I thought.
But seriously, how about phoning Chloe to tell her you can't run pick her up and maybe telling her dad (or perhaps your parents would be better, since you don't want her dad to know where she is) to wire some money for a plane ticket home (and a hospital bill, and whatever transportation costs it takes to get to the airport - this could add up).

He watched the sun go down gabbing with Lana. BDA!
And yes we are talking some serious money for a poor family, both Chloe's and the Kents.
Just thoughtless.

Why do I have this vision of Lex running up and down the halls of the hospital with Clark's picture going:
"Have you seen this person?"
That's a lot of explaning for Clark & Chloe!

Well he could of easily called chloe off-screen and she was fine anyway. Lana was the one that was really hurt. What did chloe have the chills?

forget how lex found chloe how about where was clark?
and what the hell was he thinking when he put down chloe sullivan as her name?
YOU LIE!
thats the only thing you know how to do you Bda and when its important to you forget.
what a shmo!
anyways.
Of course lex was gonna find her can clark really be that dumb? as soon as he met up with lex at his house he should have known oh I should move chloe lex is getting suspicious about her. but of course not. Instead he's buying flowers for lana and asking her if she loves him. Cause thats more important than the well being of your best friend. Yeah whatevers cool buddy.
Im suprised lex didnt find her sooner if anything.
But nice cover up by chloe as usual.
i must have been dreaming :-p
hm...what were you dreaming about there chloe?

yea he's deffinetly gonna know that Clark was there too... he'll show a picture to someone or something and they'll say it was him. If I was Chloe I wouldn't leave with him lol There is no way in my mind that I picture Lex taking her back to smallville. She's probably gonna wind up on level 30.1 (I think that was it?) at luthor corp being interrogated.

See that's what bothered me about the whole episode: why didn't Clark tell a trusted adult where Chloe was? Why did he leave her there and forget her?
I was so angry that he just left her there. I mean he had to leave because his parents could have been seriously injured but once he saw that they were ok why didn't he like call to make sure Chloe was ok and tell say his PARENTS!! Why didn't Lois ask about Chloe?
And you know the worst part I was hoping that the last 10 minutes would live up to the rest of the episode. For me that last 10 minutes killed it. The episode was great until those last minutes.

Nevertheless, he should have said something to an adult.

yeah, you would've thought since he tells his parents everything that goes on every episode.
I dont think clark forgot about her. I just think the episode ended too soon to really know. the next episode will probably start off with clark trying to figure out what happened.
This isnt simpsons or family guy, things travel from episode to episode.
I assumed that Clarks plan was to do all this stuff and return to FoS before the sun set. I think they also wanted to build up the suspence.

I think in all the confusion and chaos people were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Clark knew Chloe would be safe in the hospital and so was trying to devote attention to the people that needed help. And - once you turn 18 and 19 - you don't have to run to adults anymore :)
Muse25
03-19-2006, 02:29 PM
But I think this a little different. True most people over the age of 18 don't go to adults seeking help but Clark on the other hand is not most people. He's an alien from another planet and he'll need help. I'm just wondering how exactly Chloe would get out of the hospital in the Yukon all by herself. I think he should have gone to his parents and said "look I left Chloe at a hospital in the Yukon could help get her back." I think going to your parents with that one would have been ok. Of course making Chloe get herself back from the Yukon is ok because he shouldn't run to an adult with that one ::note sarcasm::
Know when to ask for help even when your 18 is ok.

Yeah but his parents were in the hospital at the time too. They weren't just sitting idly on the farm with nothing to do. I'm sure he would have gotten her - he wouldn't have just left her there - the only part they showed was him fighting with the Kryptonians, and then by that time Lex had found her, so what's the point of arguing? It didn't show enough of a time sequence to see when he would have went back.
