So, how long does everything think it will take before Clark realizes that he hasn't "taken care of the evil" that Jor-El was warning him about . . . I mean, come on, if Jor-El wanted to train him that badly, you don't think it would be that easy for Clark to defeat such a grave threat to humanity do you?

He thinks his powers are gone for good, and that the "super" part of his life is done . . . BIG MISTAKE! Is he really that dense, I mean, after Jor-El fought for him for so long, all of the sudden Clark thinks it's over?

J. Kent was right not to fall for it, and he obviously doesn't think that it's over, I just don't know why they are portraying Clark to be so dense! Come on, he's a really smart guy, he's the freakin' savior of the world, you'd think he'd be a little bit brighter than that

maybe he's just hanging on to the thread of a dream to be normal, but come on . . .

so, how long before the truth comes and smacks him in the face?

Clarks just in Lana overdrive. So he thinks that now he can be normal and everything will be a piece of cake. Thats why he's a BDA. But I was saying that too. I was like Clark you are sooooo dumb.

Yeah I mentioned something similar in another thread. He has been told time and time again by Jor El that the whole fate of the world is in his hands, yet he continually blows him off. He can't be that big of an idiot. And you're right... if those two bozos that came off the ship were the threat that Jor El had been talking about, they didn't live up to their potential. Clark should have realized that... like "that was easy... maybe too easy!!" He sure is a moron.

Clark has 2 major super powers to gain...

1) Flight

and

2) Inteligence :)

maybe 3 if you count humor like a certain New Yorker did who really liked Superman :)

I don't know about the rest of you, but everytime I stop a memory download in mid-sequence it always leaves me a little addled for awhile.

I am quite possibly the biggest Superman fan on the planet. Not that I have the most stuff, or the most knowledge... but definitely the most love. But my username speaks for itself. The guy is CONSTANTLY portrayed as retarded.

Ex) "Hmmm... that bullet looks real green, should be even cooler when it bounces off my ches... OUCH!"

... and so on and so forth.

I think this is caused by 2 factors.

1) The person writing the story is retarded, and can't wrap their mind around what Superman should be able to do in the situation.

or

2) Filtering out the ambient noise from his super hearing really does tax the ole brain power.

I'll let you pick whichever answer you can best live with :)

I don't read the spoilers so don't confirm this if you know, but remember how Lex heard the Kryptonians say "Kal-el would not bleed"?

I think now that Clark has lost his powers, if Lex does anything to see if Clark bleeds, he will. And so Lex will "confirm" in his mind that Clark isn't Kal-el, even though he is. ;)

At least it looked like Pa-Kent knew that it wasn't over!

i don't think clark is retarded. i think that he's wanted to be normal for so long that he just doesn't want to think about the fact that it might not really be over.

Yea, so it's been four Years of Smallville and all of a sudden Clark is OK with losing his powers and being human?! Hello?!!?!! Isn't the whole point of Smallville to BUILD Clark up to embracing his destiny as Superman. That's kinda perterbed me...even if it is for some Clana! Eeck!

Yeah, part of is the writing sometimes probably, but also keep in mind, he's only like 18 in the show, not the 30 year old Superman from the movies, who already had his Kryptonian training....and I don't think he's all that retarded since he continues duping Lex and everyone...if anybody's a tad slow-witted it's perhaps Lex for not saying to himelf...."duh, I tink Cwark is wying and he might be from another pwanet!"

Clark is stubborn. Stubborn people tell themselves one thing over and over to make it in their heads to be truth when it actuality it isn't. Notice how adamant he was about how he was sure that was the end of it.

I too thought that clark was dumb for thinking that was it and its all over till i really thought about it. Clark is just a stubborn baby sometimes and still has a lot of growing up to do.

i think that if clark actually believed everything was over he would be pretty stupid cause he defeated the aliens like it was nothing but had a harder time trying to defeat the FOTWs.

Um, I meant EVERY incarnation of superman. Movies, comics, Superfriends [dear diety(s)! those were awful], ect.

Thatīs because he has Lana blinders on or should I rather say Clana blinders! He only thinks about her and how he can be with her and what he has to do to acomplish that! He is not ready mentaly speaking to be a hero, cos, heroīs more often than not have to give up everything for the greater good, and Clark wonīt do that cos he is way to concerned with what his own needs!

Does anyone wonder what was happening to Clark in the FOS before he saw Chloe?
There is a part of me that thinks he is maybe a little more grown up then I think.
When the sun was setting and he made the choice to save his friend/*girl* or whatever Lana is to him, does anyone think that he knew there would be consequences to not getting back when Jorel told him? (Maybe no powers??)
I didn't think Clark was all that honest with the Kents about why he doesn't have his powers anymore.
Of course I also think I am spending way too much time thinking about this:p

@LuckyKrypto

i hate to say it but when i saw that scene i was actually screaming to the screen ''get back to the f*ck*ng FOS you moron"

clark promised to come back after he'd drop chloe off. it was understandable that he would make sure his family/friends were ok but, even he should have known that he needed to get back and resume the learningprogress. it wasnt necessary for clark to stay any longer with lana. (she was ok)

many people think Jor-El is a jerk (and he can be) but for the most part i just think Jor-El is the smart one and clark is wayyyyy to dense at this point.

Hmm... That is a good point

Do you think Pa Kent knew too? There have been tons of times that he knew things that we all didn't know, and he kept it secret. So I wonder if the reason he is so skeptical, is because he knows (or at least has an idea) of how everything is going to play out. :)

I think I think, (did that make sense? :) )

Anyways, I think Pa Kent is so skeptical because he knows Jor-El, and he knows Clark. It seemed pretty clear that Clark wasn't on the up and up with ma and pa about why his powers were taken away. At least it did to me, but that could have just been how I saw it. ;)
