How did Lex find her so quickly, I wonder.

he is one of the wealthiest men in the world . . . just think about that, and you'll figure out how he found her so fast

and I think it's Jor-El that took them since Clark didn't come back at sunset

how exactly can Jor-El just take clarks powers? Clark gets his powers from the sun... and like in Superman 2 he has to get exposed to the rays of the red kryptonian sun to lose his powers. Jor El didn't expose him to anything... not to mention Jor-El is dead.. all that remains are recordings saved in the crystals. For his powers to just up and evaporate into this air was just plain dumb

My question is, was Clark just going to leave her there. Because he didn't seem worried that he lost his powers and he surely didn't have the money to go get her.

that was pretty lame. Plus, how many times does jor el have to tell him that the fate of the whole world depends on him fulfilling his destiny. Yet once again he blows him off. What an idiot

To me, that was the biggest unanswered question. How could Clark not even give her a 2nd thought! "Clark, get your mind out of your pants!" :rotfl:

I was wondering the same thing myself! It seemed stupid that he seemed carefree, and how on earth are they going to explain it Lex? They had to have registered Chloe into the hospital uner her real name and thats how Lex found her, but how would he find hospital records from a hospital in Alaska ?

How did he know she was in a hospital to begin with. He must have put a search out for her name popping up anywhere, and found her that way. But then, for all he knew she got out of the caves and ran home. What would have prompted him to start searching for her anyway?

Because he's lex Luthor, "you pay a guy to do a job, and he..." oh, sorry. ;)

Because he wanted to find her, and he knew, or suspects, that that light transported them someplace not near Smallville. Chloe being in the Yukon confirms that to him. Chloe is in deep s*** here.

she'll come up with a good fib... this show has more people telling more fibs than I've ever seen.

Yep and I've also lost count at the number of times that Lana has lost conciousness, would've thought he would have permanant brain damage by now... poor little bugger

I love how they are setting up Lex and Chloe this season. It seems like they will have an arc together.

I am sure the sunsets at a different time between Smallville and the North Pole, Clark should have had about 6 mo. to get back to jor-el :)

I think Jor-El meant the sunset in Smallville, at least that only makes the most sense.

As someone in another thread pointed out, If the "Fortress of Solitude" is in the artic, how come the "deadline" for Clark's return was dependent on Sunset in KANSAS? Sunset in the artic could occur anytime within a six-month period.
More specifically, if Clark RAN from the Fortress to a hospital "in the Yukon" the Fortress of Solitude must be in an area of the artic connected to the land mass of the rest of North America (either that Clark must have learned to jump over 400 miles to traverse the straits between the islands, while carrying Chloe). This would place the Fortress some place south of 73 degrees North latitude, north of 66.5 degrees north and west of 85 degrees West.
On May 18, the date of "Commencement", the sunset at the artic circle as far east as possible would be AT LEAST two and a half hours later than Sunset in Kansas (or could be as much as 95 days later depending on how far north you go). If the Fortress was truly in "the Yukon", sunset would be a minimum of FIVE and a half hours later than in Kansas.
