Ok, didn't it say that Lois takes the Kryptonians to a military base - but now Lana is taking them to the Luthor Mansion? Did they change it at last minute after the spoilers were released? Am I making this up, or is anybody else think the same thing about the change?

maybe they leaked some false info to mess w/ us, or maybe they figure out that Lionel isn't Kal-El and then Lois takes them to the military base

The spoilers were better than what we got. It wasn't even a Super Battle. the scene sucked.

I was disdappointed with all of the episode. The spoilers sounded so much better, but a loty of what was shown was "tame" compared to what was hinted. Plus, I caught the change from Lois to Lana. Guess Lana is the big star of the show now. Plus some of the trailors suggested Clark would tell Chloe ALL OF IT. He didn't. And, what happend to the names of the two Kryptonians?

:(

Uh Clark told her that he was an alien, thats pretty much the long and short of it. And yes, Lana is a bigger part of the show than Lois. She's the leading lady, lois just hangs out every now and again.

The whole Fort Ryan - Lois-with-rocket-launcher theme in the spoilers was REALLY forced and introduced about twenty completely unbelieveable elements. The broadcast episode was much better writen than the spoilers.
IMHO, the reason the battle with Nam-Ek and Aethyr was so short was the WB and the producers decided to shift from a 90 minute opener to a standard 60 minute time slot.
Also, I believe Nam-Ek and Aethyr were simply "Probes" sent out by the Ship. We didn't see them emerge from the ship. They could have formed from black crystaline goo, just like "Professor Fine".
I think we will eventually find out that the REAL "Brainiac" is actually the SHIP, not James Marsters.
