I think they left it in to throw the fans who don't read the spoilers off. I don't read the spoilers or rumors unless I catch them on the msg board. I didn't even have a clue that that was supposed to be Brainiac at the end of the episode until I came here and read it. I thought it might be some version of Zod, and the lackeys he sent were just meant to test Clark.

Anyways, this episode fulfilled all my expectations. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that Clark is powerless for now. I really hope he gets them back in the next epi, dunno if I would enjoy more than one full episode with him without them.
