Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart-the Man, the Music, the Movie.
I wasnt a fan of his-or of classical music-untill I saw this.
Its 1 of my top 3 films.While its superbly filmed and acted and wrote-and of course the music is phenominal-some parts of the plot are probably not true.Salieri and Mozart were rivals-and Salieri did confess to killing Mozart b4 he died-but by then he was very sick and not of sound mind.He probably was jealous of Mozart for his incredible talent-but Mozart was also very jealous because Salieri,as court composer,had a steady job-paycheck and home and Mozart struggled to get those things.Mozarts music is more popular then ever-centuries after his death-whereas Salieri's music was quickly forgotten.There were many rumors after Mozart died that Salieri killed him-but at the time -in the 17th-18th century-people died unexpectedly all the time.
So,any Mozart fans out there?

Yeh Requiem is awesome.

Thats great ILTW-very cool.Ive always wanted to play Mozart on the piano-I know he wrote many pieces for string instruments as well.I think there was no greater composer-some may have had bigger hits-but overall no one wrote all the classics Mozart did.

Amadeus was an amazing movie. I dont think any other movie quite met its greatness. And I listen to Mozart from time to time, usually when Im writing. Although I admit he's a genius, I prefer something more simple like rock most of the time.

And if I listen to Requiem at night, I usually cant sleep... its crazy good. Too bad he only wrote like half of it before he died.

Even if u arent a Mozart fan-the movie is awesome if u simply like history.If u ever wondered what life was like 300 years ago.They really went all out to portray a real look and feel to the film.
Mozart was way ahead of his time,especially shown when the king and his court accused Mozart of having 'too many notes' in his music!

I've seen the movie "Amadeus" at least three times.
Love the Requiem at the end and while he is already rick but still composing it :)
I hated Salieri so much :lol:

Love Mozart. I love most Classical Music. Rachmaninov is probably my favorite.

I really got into Beethovan at 1 time.And 'Immortal Beloved' is a good film.Straus is cool-'the Blue Danube' and 'Thus Spoke Zarathusta".
Yeh Salieri was a good villain.I liked in the movie when he wrote that welcoming piece for Mozart,who plays it for the king-saying"thats all there is isnt it-its not quite right is it"and Mozart takes it and creates a much better piece,and Salieri while thoroghly humiliated can only stand there smiling.

F. Murray Abraham is the man. I recommend Amadeus to everyone. Listen to Mozart whenever your stressed out.

Yeh Abraham was a great Salieri-those facial expressions were excellent.When Mozarts wife takes him a sample of his work and Salieri finds out theyre first drafts;
Salieri-"These are first drafts"?
Constance-"Yes sir-he dosent make copies"
And u see the shock-anguish-awe take him over,as he looks at them.

I saw Amadeus for the first time in music class in the 7th grade. It made me a huge fan of Mozart's, and I still am to this day. I still watch the movie like 3 times a year and I listen to Requiem quite a bit! I found a 250th Mozart collectors tin at wal-mart for like $10.00. It has like 5 cd's in it and I LOVE it!!! It's a good find!!! I recommend you pick it up!!
