Boy of Steel


This is another fanfic that ties in with there is a bat in my supe. It explains the adventures Clark had when he was 12 including his encounter with the Superman Hunters [first introduced in there is a bat in my supe latest update]. This story is rated PG and is this rating for mild violance. I own nothing in the world that could be considered the superman mythos. The first chapter might be a little short but there will be many. Enjoy!

Chapter 1 Birth of a Hero

It was morning and Clark was doing his chores. He was a little jumpy because the image of the dream he had included him falling out of the sky and being tossed around like a toy. The person who was tossing him had dark black eyes and was very strong. He claimed to be from Clark's home planet.

''Hi Clark!'' said a voice that Clark knew was Chloe's.

''Hi Chloe what's up'' responded Clark.

''A huge knews story for the school paper.'' said Chloe excited and sad at the same time.

''Lionel Luthor is laying off a lot of people in Smallville. And most of those people are parents of kids who go to our school.'' said Chloe.

''What!'' said Clark sounding angry.

''Don't kill the messanger.'' said Chloe teasing him in order to calm him down.

''Sorry, I'm just mad at Lionel Luthor he is turning Smallville into a nightmare where all the people follow him as if he were a dictator.'' said Clark looking in the direction of Metropolis.

''What's that sound'' asked Chloe as the sound of an explosion rang through the town.

''Call the police I'm going to go check it out.'' said Clark as he ran away at normal speed.

Even in normal speed Clark was still faster than Chloe so knowing she couldn't keep up she did as he said and called the police once she saw smoke beginning to rise.

Clark ran into an old house that was making the flame. Unfortunatly he was still learning to control his powers so when he knocked down the door it flew 30 feet.

He was shocked to find Lana stuck in the other room knocked out.

''Lana!'' Clark yelled as he quickly grabbed her and ran out just before the whole building collapsed.

Chapter 1 continued

Clark ran Lana to the hospital as fast as he could. As a doctor came out to see the patient he told Clark she was going to be all right and that she would be waking up very soon.

Chloe met Clark in the hospital as soon as she heard he brought Lana there.

As soon as Lana woke up the two of them began to ask questions. Lana seemed to be staring at Clark smiling the whole time. Chloe noticed this and started asking twice as many questions in order to draw Lana's attention away from Clark.

''What I'm trying to say is, why were you in that building anyway?'' asked Chloe.

''I was being chased.'' said Lana sounding frightened.

note to readers: please respond. this is the end of chapter 1. I know this is short.

Chapter 2 Ansewers and Questions

''Who was chasing you Lana?'' asked Clark grabbing her hand to comfort her wichmade Chloe wince backwards.

''I don't know exactly. The man was wearing a ski mask. He broke into my house when my aunt left and when I ran away he chased me. I couldn't outrunhim so I thought I could hide inside the building, but I heard his gun go off and it hit the boiler. I felt being hit on the head by something and then I woke up with a nurse telling me that Clark rescued me from the explosoin. Thank-you Clark.'' said Lana

''You're welcome.'' said Clark leaving because it was time for her medication.

''What do you think?'' asked Clark.

''I think there is something that she is'nt telling us.'' said Chloe.

''Chloe she just went through something very traumatic. Go easy.'' said Clark staring at his childhood crush from outside the window.

Chapter 2 Ansewers and Questions

''Who was chasing you Lana?'' asked Clark.

''I don't know the person was wearing a mask. Whoever it was broke into my house when my aunt left. They started to search around looking in my aunts room. The weird thing is that he threw the money out of the way just like all the other stuff. Then he saw me run out the door and he chased me. I couldn't outrun him so I went into that building to hide. When he saw me he fired his gun but it missed and hit the boiler wich caused a couple of explosions throughout the building from the heaters. Something hit me on the head and the next thing I knew the nurse was telling me that you saved me from the whole boiler itself exploding. Thank you Clark.'' said Lana.

''You're welcome.'' responded Clark as he left the room because it was time for her medication.

''So what do you think?'' asked Clark looking at Lana through the window.

''I think she is hiding something from us.'' said Chloe.

''Chloe, she just went through a dangerous event, go easy on her.'' said Clark staring at his childhood crush.

''Clark use your head, why would he chase Lana?'' asked Chloe.

''To stop her from getting to the police.'' said Clark.

''No, he came in daylight, he has strong lawyers I'll asume. Lana had what he was looking for I'll bet.'' said Chloe.

''Lana is lying in the hospital and what you're doing is acussing her of something.'' said Clark.

At that moment Clark saw a man coming towards him. It was his father he said that he needed to come to the farm immediatly. Chloe asked if she should come but Clark told her she should stay with Lana.

Chapter 2 continued

Clark and his father drove back to the farm.

''Clark we found this in a Luthorcorp van.'' said Jonathan as he held out an octagon with fimiliar markings.

''How did you get that?'' asked Clark.

''The driver of the van was shot and crashed just a few minutes ago. We saw a man in a mask fire the gun, but I returned fire with my rifle, he ran off probably because we had the advantage of the van's cover.'' said Jonathan.

''Lana was chased by a man in a mask today too. He was looking for something. That might be it. Where is the van?'' asked Clark.

''It was towed right after we left. Lionel might think that the man in the mask took it. We were just lucky the crash was so close to us.'' said Jonathan.

''Clark there is something else about this thing. The markings on it are similar to the ones on your ship and on the device that goes into your ship.'' said Martha.

''You think that this thing came from my planet with me?'' asked Clark.

''Well....'' Martha was cut off.

''Those caves I play in, I saw an octagonal hole in the wall. That might be why I have dreams of being in that place, it might have been made for this thing to fit i, it might be a key!'' said Clark.

''Clark if this is a key then who made the lock?'' asked Jonathan.

''Maybe I'm not the frist person from my planet to come here. Maybe my people built those caves thousands of years ago.'' said Clark.

''Clark that hole could be there for another reason, we need proof.'' said Jonathan.

''Then I'll give it to you.'' said Clark.

He ran at superspeed into his house to get the camera and then ran to the caves to take a picture of the hole and the symbols around it. He then ran back picked up his parents and went into the storm cellar.

''See there is a whole there too. And I took a picture with mom's digital camera. See the symbols all match and the wholes do too.'' said Clark.

note to readers: In this fic Clark knows he is not from earth and is twelve, the key has already been found and there are some other differences too. please read and respond!

Chapter 3 Kal-El

''Clark what are you doing?'' asked Jonathan.

''I'm going to put the key into the hole.'' said Clark.

''Clark you don't know what will happen if you put that key inside the holes. Give me the key son, we need to make sure that you're safe.'' said Jonathan.

''So Clark reluctantly gave his father the key. He then walked back into the house to find that the phone was ringing.

''Hello, this is Clark Kent. Who is speaking?'' asked Clark.

''Hi Clark it's me Lana. I don't want to sound like I am being demanding, but my aunt's still on her way back so I was wondering if you would come over and stay here until my aunt got back. I'm worried the man might attack again.'' lied Lana who knew the man would not be back because she knew she didn't have what he was looking for and assumed that he already had it.

''Sure I'll be right over.'' said Clark smiling largely.

When Clark reached the house he saw Lana smiling at him as she came up to him grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the couch.

''Want to watch a movie?'' asked Lana.

''Sure, what movie?'' asked Clark.

''How about the ring?'' asked Lana.

''Sure but don't make fun of me if I hav to close my eyes.'' laughed Clark.

The movie went along pretty well. Clark enjoyed the scary parts the most because when Lana saw them she would jump and grab his hand.

When Lana's aunt finally came home Lana looked disappointed that Clark had to leave.

''Thank you Clark.'' said Lana as she kissed him on the cheek.

''You're welcome.'' responded Clark looking shell shocked making Lana giggle.

So Clark ran home feeling so light you'd think he could fly.

wow, it's been a month since we got the last update on this story! PPMS!!!

Clark decided to go into his barn for a little while so he could look through his telescope a little. But as he was looking he got a huge headache that somehow led him to where his father had hid the key. He picked it up and the pain left his head until he examined the writing on the key. And when he touched the symbol that had an eight in a sheild that seemed familiar to him, he was instantly knocked out.

''Where am I?'' asked Clark to himself.

Then it happened. Clark saw that the key was in his hand and that he was near the keyhole. Clark saw that on the ground of the cave was what looked to him like a meteor rock only it was red. He was intrigued when he realised that it didn't seem to hurt him so he just dropped the key and went to pick it up. But the key started to float into the hole, and when Clark turned around he saw a beam of blinding light coming at him. He was still holding the meteor rock.

(later)

When he woke up Clark felt more powerful than ever before and he felt free. He remebered that Lionel Luthor was going to lay off all those people just to get a little extra money for his second tower. For the first time in his life he decided to do something about it. He didn't know why he had never thought to destroy his precious tower before now. And he decided to keep around the thing that seemed to have givn him the idea, the red meteor rock.

note to readers: Clark just recieved power like Kal-El's would be at twelve and got the mind of himself on Red Kryptonite! please respond!

no they haven't met yet but another reason i made this fic was to show how lex was tested as a teenager by his father and how he begins to develop his father's talents of minipulation. (I couldn't have them meet in this fic unless clark was in a mask, because nothing spells friendship like being hit with someones car lol!)

It was morning, Clark had found himself a ski mask. He put it on and gave himself a smile in the mirror. All of a sudden he heard something. It was Lana's aunt on the phone, she said that Lionel is going to lay her off too.

''Lana, I promise you I won't let him do that. I love you.'' he said to himself before he ran off not even surprised about the fact that he could hear like that.

Getting to Metropolis used to take him minutes but suprising to Clark he made it there in seconds, everything seemed even slower in superspeed than before (he in superspeed is still incredibly fast but everything else seems slower to him).

When he reached the Luthor Tower #2 it wasn't open yet so no one was in it but it was finished. Clark was about to start what he set out to do when he heard a gun shot ring out. He sighed and ran in that direction.

It was a bank robbery. Clark was about to run in and save the people, so that they were on his side when he destroyed the tower. But unfortunatly a hot headed girl yelled at one of the robbers.

''Oh great.'' muttered Clark.

''What do you think you're doing yelling at my little sister! Who do you think you are?!'' yelled the girl.

''I think I'm the guy about to shoot you in the head.'' said the robber who had mental problems so that he would even shoot a young teenager.

But Clark ran in and caught the bullet. He was so shocked that he was looking at his hands and wasn't paying attention. The robber with a bat ran up to him and hit him with it. Of course it broke into pieces. Clark who finally seemed to be getting control of his powers pushed the guy just enough so he wouldn't be paralised. The other guy tried to pistol whip him but Clark did the same again.

''Thanks for saving my sister and me.'' said the girl who was calming her terrified sybling down.

''No problem.'' returned Clark.

''You caught a bullet where are you from?!'' smiled the young girl.

''That's a good question and I think the ansewer is in a place called Smallville although I don't think I'm from there.'' responded Clark.

''My cousin's from Smallville!'' said the girl hoping to see him again.

''Then maybe we'll see eachother again someday......''

''Lois, Lois Lane.'' Lois finished.

At that moment the general came in to see if his daughters were all right.

''Dad! Look this guy saved us!'' said Lois pointing to an empty space when she turned back around.

Clark had supersped off.

note to readers: i did not meen that to be a clois chapter at all, it is just to see how he met people as a red-k clark before a regular clark and no one knows it was him they met.
