Update, Update, Thy Name Is Forgotten... :(

"Why were we summoned here?" Isobel asked.

"I don't know. Maybe the stone is around here." Clark said starting to walk in the dry sand.

"If it is then where is it?" Isobel said following Clark.

"Again, I don't know. This is as much as a puzzle to me then it is to you. Let's just find some place to stay for a while."

"Fine, but if we're going to find a place to stay, we are not walking." Isobel put a hand on Clark's shoulder.

"Abige!" A blinding pink light flashes and they're gone.

They reappear in an alley way of a town.

"Are you crazy?!?!" Clark scolded."We could've gotten caught. And then what?"

"But, we didn't now did we?" she said simply then walking out of the alley.

Suddenly, Clark grabbed her shoulder and pushed her against the wall.

"What the--" Isobel started.

"Shhh... " Clark said looking to the side.

Passing by was Jason Teague and following him was Lionel Luthor close behind.

"What are they doing here?" Clark said to himself.

"They're after the stone." Isobel was breathing heavily due to the closeness of Clark. My god why am I feeling this way? I shouldn't be feeling this!

"If they are, then we have to be careful. They can't know that we're here." Clark warned.

He took her hand and led her out of the alley way. They walked a couple of blocks before hitting a hotel and paying for a room.

"Crap! we don't have our bags." Clark said.

"That's not a problem." Isobel said.

Before Clark could say anything else, there was a flashing light and their luggage were on the floor.

Clark's cell phone went off.

"Hello?"

"Clark! Where are you?"

"Hey Bruce."

"My pilot told me when he opened the door nobody was there! Where in world are you and Lana?"

"Oh sorry, about that. We heard a sharp ringing and we just fled."

"To where?"

"Egypt."

"EGYPT?" Bruce screamed into the phone.

"Yeah. hey calm down we're fine."

"God Clark you gave me a heart attack I thought you two were dead or something...." Bruce kept on rambling on the phone until Chloe took the phone from him.

"Hey Clark, you had us pretty worried for a minute there." Chloe said.

"Yeah I could tell."

"So how's Lana? Could I speak to her?"

"Uh...slight problem." Clark replied.

"Oh my god! what happened to her?"

"Well, nothing really...just... Isobel-" Clark said quietly.

"ISOBEL? CLARK--" Chloe started.

"Wait! Okay, now before you yell at me. I just want you to know that it was for a good reason.." Clark began before Chloe interrupted.

"WHAT? YOU MEAN YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT? WHAT ARE YOU ON CRACK? DO YOU HAVE RED KRYPTONITE ON OR SOMETHING? YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS ISOBEL IS!...." Chloe yelled into the phone rambling on.

Clark held the phone away from his ear as Isobel gave him a look.

"Why is she yelling?" Isobel asks.

"She's pissed." Clark replied. "So any luck on getting anything on the stone?"

"No."

"Excuse me." Clark said pointing to the phone.

"Chloe... CHLOE!"

"What?"

"I know how pissed you are about it okay? I already got yelled at by Lana." Clark said.

"AND SHE STILL AGREED?"

"Well I made a deal with her." Clark explained.

"It must've been one hell of a deal to let a witch possess her."

"Yup. Listen, I need you to do me a favor. Could you do some background search on Jason Teague and Lionel Luthor?"

"Sure, anything specific I should be looking for?"

"I don't know...maybe something out of the ordinary? Something that Lionel wouldn't be doing."

"What about Jason Teague?"

"Uh...maybe expeditions? Something out of the ordinary too I guess."

"In other words something about the stones?" Chloe suggested.

"Yeah, something like that."

"Alright, I'll call you when I get something. Bye."

"Bye."

Clark hung up the phone and turned to find Isobel in front of the window.

"See anything interesting?"

"No." She continued to gaze out the window as Clark came beside her. It was then that they felt a pull to their bodies.

"Did you feel that?" Clark asked.

"Yeah..." Isobel responded.

"What was it?"

Isobel wandered her eyes for a moment before coming to a conclusion,"We're close."

"Close? Close to what?"

"The stone." Isobel then pointed out the window to a whirlwind of sand that was out in the distance. Clark x-rayed through and found a small underground temple.

"What did you see?"

"A temple."

"Well, shouldn't we be there?"

"We should get some rest first. We have to find out what we're up against." Clark said.

"What do you mean? All we have to do is go in there and grab it."

"It's not that simple Isobel, Jason and Lionel are also after the stone. We have to lay low for a while. There's no telling what they could be up to." Clark explained. They both moved at the same time causing them to brush up against each other. Isobel felt a surge of energy go through her body.

She swore under her breath as Clark looked at her,"What's wrong?"

Isobel sighed,"I don't know. Everytime we come in contact with one another I feel...things I don't normally feel."

Clark thought for a moment before walking closely to her.

"What are you doing?" Isobel gulped. She started to feel a spark in her hands. Unbeknowest to her, her hands were creating some sort of spark.

Clark didn't answer as he just put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer to him. He nuzzled his nose to her cheek before putting a light kiss on it.

Then it happened. Isobel's hands glowed purple before it emitted a energy blast to Clark, sending him flying to the bed.

Isobel was shocked as she looked at her hands that were only glowing faintly now.

Clark sat up on the bed and shook his head,"Well, that answers it."

"What? I don't understand. I didn't do anything!"

"It's okay. Calm down." Clark said.

"What's going on with me?" Isobel asked panicking.

"I don't know how to say this but... " Clark tried to gesture with his hands to show her what he was talking about but no avail.

"I don't understand." Isobel said.

Clark sighed and took off his shirt exposing his very fine torso. Isobel stared until she felt a tingling in her hands.

"See your hands?" Clark pointed to her now glowing hands."Your body goes into over drive when you're...turned on..."

"How is that possible? I've always been in control of my powers!" Isobel exclaimed.

"I wish I knew but I don't. I just know that when I'm around you, like really close- around you- your powers go bonkers." Clark really didn't know how to explain it. But it did make him a little giddy inside that he could make a sixteenth century witch do that. Totally cool.

WHOOSH! BAM!

"OKAY!" Clark said getting up off the ground for the upteenth time. "I think that's enough practice for now."

"What? But I was just getting the hang of it." Isobel protested. She and Clark have been practicing on controling Isobel's powers for the past few hours.

"You know, I'm starting to think you're enjoying this." Clark grinned.

"Actually, I'm not...But Lana sure is." Isobel smirked.

"What?"

"Yeah, she's knows what's going on."

Uh-oh. "You mean...she sees...what we've been doing?"

Grin. "Yep."

"What is she...saying?"

"Well..." Isobel started. "At first she's pissed when you get close to me and then she's just a tad bit happy when you get knocked down."

"But...you two are in the same...I mean it's her body."

"That's where it all gets complicated. You see I'm using her body as a vessel so I can feel your...touches...she can't. I think that's what pisses her off."

Clark stared at the wall for a moment. "Yeah, okay I think its definitely enough practicing."

Isobel chuckled as she made her way to the bathroom.

Clark shook his head and flopped himself on the bed. Boy, was he tired. Being thrown around like a doll does take a lot out of him, especially for a man of steel.

The sound of his ringing phone entered his ears as he glanced at the table beside the bed. He sighed and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Clark. Hey. It's Chloe."

"Hey Chloe...What's up?"

"Well, I just got some interesting information about Jason and Lionel."

"Wow...that was pretty fast. What do you have for me?"

"According to my research on Jason, his mother, Genevieve Teague has been researching the countess before Jason was even born. He grew up in a house full of ancient artifacts and reams of research material about Marguerite Isobel Theroux." Chloe explained in one breath through the phone.

"Chloe?"

"Yeah?"

"Breath for a minute." Clark laughed.

Chloe rolled her eyes. "Shut up...Anyways... on with Jason Teague before I was rudely interrupted. Basically, he's been aware of the countess since he was a child."

"Yeah I think I kinda got that before I interrupted you." Clark grinned.

"Okay, who are you and what did you do with my best friend? Did Isobel put a spell on you or something?"

Clark laughed. "No, no. But I did get thrown around by her."

"Wh-...what?" Chloe asked, confused.

"Well... we were trying to control her powers."

Chloe was even more perplexed. "I thought she's already in control of her powers?"

"Yeah...but not around me."

Chloe thought for a moment before chuckling. "Are you telling me that you make her...weak in the knees?"

"Something like that except she releases a flash of energy when she's gets to a certain point."

Chloe broke out laughing. "You've got some Kent Charm Clark."

"Maybe even dangerous." Clark sighed. "Okay, what do you have on Lionel?"

"Nothing big on him except that he had several expeditions going through half the world. Guess what he was looking for?"

"The stones." Clark said as more of a statement than a question.

"Yup. But he turned up empty handed."

"But he didn't give up."

"Exactly."

"Alright, thanks Chloe. Keep me updated." Clark said.

"Okay. Bye Clark and be careful."

"I will. Bye." Clark hanged up the phone just as Isobel walked out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel on.

And with Clark being Clark, he stared with his jaw dropped open.

"Who was that?" she asked as she dried her hair with another towel.

"Uhm..." Clark tried to form words into sentences but was finding it very difficult with her standing there in a towel.

Isobel grinned as she saw how fumbly Clark was. 'I guess he's not the only one with the charms.

"Clark?" Isobel said trying to snap Clark out of his trance.

He cleared his throat as he forced his eyes on her face. But that didn't help because her eyes were just as hypnotizing.

He shut his eyes and said, "That was Chloe."

Isobel laughed lightly. "Do you think you could tell me that with your eyes open?"

Clark shooked his head. "Honestly. No."

Only a few seconds passed before Isobel spoke again, "Okay Clark you can open your eyes."

He only opened one eye to be cautious and when he saw that she was fully dressed and her hair was dry, he opened the other.

"How did you-"

"Magic."

"Oh right." Clark made a funny face like he should've known that. "Okay...so I think we should get some sleep now. We're gonna have a big day tomorrow."

Isobel nodded and made her way to one side of the bed and slid under the covers. Clark got off the bed and stripped himself down to his boxers and slid into the bed.

They both unconsciously moved closer to each other during the night as they slept, unaware of the events to come the next day.

And that 'after shower' scene was funny...

hmm... that ending sound ominous..
