It had been over a year since Lana Lang had left my life to go to Paris. In an instant, she had come back into it. I remember it like it was yesterday…

Chloe and I had just pulled up to the dorms on the Metropolis University campus. Luckily, Chloe and I were able to share a dorm. It was very rare but when you are playing for the Metropolis Sharks on a scholarship, you get whatever you want. Chloe didn’t want to share a room with someone else or by herself and I didn’t want to either, so we decided that we would give being roommates a try. As we both walked through the hallways leading to dorms, both carrying boxes, we were bumped into by other students try to get through. We came to the end of the hallway and found a note on the door. I took the note off as Chloe opened the door. There was a common room with a couch and a table. It had two doors each leading to separate bedrooms. We both put the boxes downs on the floor.

“What does the note say?” Chloe asked as she turned around to look at me.

“Do you really want to know? It was kind of meant for me.”

“Just read it.”

“Here it goes: Clark, we found out that you were staying here so we wanted to let you know that if you need anything and we mean anything to just ask. From the girls in Room 15.”

“Oh wow. Who are the girls in Room 15?”

“I have no idea.”

Chloe started laughing as she went to check out the rooms. Had the girls from Room 15 just hit on me and what did they mean by anything? I think I got it. Oh wow. Metropolis Sharks players do get whatever they want. This is going to be a very interesting year.

“Chloe, I am going to get more boxes.”

“Ok.” Chloe yelled from what I am guessing is her room since she has been there ever since we got in.

I walked out of the dorm room and saw that the hallways were getting less busy by the minute. I saw a girl at the end of the hallway about to lose her grip on a box so I walked up to her and helped her out. I never saw her face because there was another box in front of it.

“Thanks.” She said from behind the box.

We walked into her dorm. I put the box on the floor and she did the same with hers.

“Thanks again.” She said as she turned around.

That’s when it happened, all my feelings for Lana, the girl that left, came back. The girl holding the box was Lana. I quickly left the room not wanting to talk to her hoping that if I didn’t, the feelings would quickly leave just like she did. I walked out of the dorm as fast as I could without using my super speed. I walked to my car and got about two more boxes then quickly returned to my dorm.

“Chloe, do you know who I just saw?”

“One of the girls from Room 15?”

“No, but I will for them later.”

I wasn’t really going to look for them.

“Then who did you see?”

“Lana.”

“What? She is here?”

“Yes she is. I saw this girl in the hallway that was about to drop one of her boxes and I helped her but when I saw her face, it was Lana.”

“Are you sure?”

I gave Chloe this look saying ‘Are you serious.’

“I shouldn’t have asked that. What did you say or what did she say?”

“I didn’t say anything. I just walked out of the room.”

“Don’t you want to talk to her?”

“Not really. I finally got over her and I don’t want my feelings to return.”

“Then try not to see her. Hopefully she isn’t in any of your classes.”

“I know.”

Chloe and I heard a knock on the door.

“That must be Lois. She said that she would stop by.”

“I will get it.”

I walked to the door and opened it.

“Lana.”

Chapter 2:
I walked to the door and opened it.

“Lana.”

“Hi Clark.

She was as beautiful as I remember. Her hair was a bit longer but she was still as beautiful. I didn’t say anything. I turned my head to Chloe for help but I don’t think that she will know what to do either.

“Lana.” Chloe said as she approached the door.

I guess she did know what to do. I couldn’t figure out what she was doing here.

“Chloe?”

“In the flesh.”

“It’s so good to see you.”

“It’s good to see you to. What room are you staying in?”

“Room 14.”

“Oh look Clark, that’s right next to Room 15.” Chloe looked at me like she was about to fall down laughing.

“Chloe, shut up.”

“What’s wrong with Room 15?” Lana asked.

“Just some girls that like Clark are staying there.”

“They don’t like me.”

“You saw the note. They said that they would do anything for you.”

“I think they were kidding.”

“I don’t mean to sound rude or anything but what are you guys talking about?”

“Nothing.” I said.

“I will tell her. We found a note on the door from the girl in Room 15 and they told Clark that they would do anything, and they mean anything for Clark.”

“Wow Clark. Looks like you got yourself a fan club.”

“It’s just probably because I got on the football team.”

“So you are the one from Smallville that got the scholarship.”

“How did you know I got a scholarship?”

“My friend keeps on talking about this really hot guy that is on the football team that got a scholarship from some farm city. I am assuming that it is you.”

“I guess it is. Look Chloe, her roommate called me hot. I have girls lined up for me.”

“Don’t get so full of yourself. Lana, why don’t you stop by later when the dorm looks better and we can catch up.” Chloe said.

“Sure. I still have to fix my dorm up too.”

“Then we will see you later.”

“Bye Clark. Bye Chloe.”

“Bye Lana.” I said before closing the door.

“Chloe, you had to tell her about the note!”

“I have to tell someone.”

“And why did you invite her over?”

“Because she is my friend that I haven’t spoken to in over a year and I want to talk to her. If you don’t want to talk to her then you can stay in your room.”

“No, I will talk to her.”

“Ok, now be a good boy and help me get the rest of my stuff.”

“As long as you are a good girl and never tell anyone else about that note.”

“Fine.”

“The only people that should know about it now are me, you and Lana.”

“And the ladies of room 15. I think I will stop by there room and pay them a visit.” Chloe said as we walked out of the door.

She better not talk to them otherwise I am going to freak out. I can’t believe that I am going to see Lana again later. Now that I think about it. I don’t think that it would be that bad if we got back together. She probably doesn’t like me anymore but if she does, maybe this time it will work.


I know this was a short one but I needed something in between him seeing her and them talking!

Chapter 3:
Chloe and I had finished putting everything away. We finally had a chance to rest on the couch watching TV. It was a TV that one of the Met U alumni gave me.

“I can’t believe that we finally finished unpacking.” Chloe said.

“I know. How did you do it? I mean you were pretty fast at fixing your room and then you worked on my room.”

“I had the girls help me.”

“What girls?”

“The room 15 girls.”

“Chloe, not this again.”

“I will stop. I promise. But one of them stopped me in the hallway and asked if I was your girlfriend.”

“What did you say?”

“I said no. What did you want me to say? Oh yes, Clark and I have been dating all our lives. He is so dreamy.”

“So you think I am dreamy.”

“Shut up.”

Just as Chloe was about to hit me in the head with a pillow, a knock came at the door.

“Can you get that Clark?”

“Yes Mommy.”

Now she hit me in the head. That was not nice. I will get her back later. I got off the couch and answered the door. It was Lana.

“Hi Lana.”

“Hey Clark.”

“Come in.”

“Thanks.”

Lana walked in and I closed the door behind her.

“Hey Lana.” Chloe said.

“Hello Chloe.”

“Sit wherever you want.”

“Thanks.”

Lana sat down on the couch next to Chloe while I sat down on the other side of Chloe. This was very awkward.

“This is awkward.” Chloe said.

Didn’t I just say that?

“I know.”

“So Lana, what have you been doing?” Chloe asked.

“I have been living in Paris as an art student and I was working at a coffee shop.”

“Wherever Lana Lang goes, coffee goes with her.”

“I know. I tried getting away from it but somehow I ended up with coffee.”

“What brought you back to Kansas?” I asked.

“I am not sure. Something just told me that I should come back to go to college here.”

“Wow. We are happy that you are back.” I was really happy that she was back. I guess those feelings are starting to come back.

“I am sorry guys, I have to go. I forgot that I have somewhere to go tonight. Maybe we can have coffee tomorrow?” Lana said.

“Sure, that will be great. How about around 3?” Chloe asked.

“I might be a little late. I have my first football practice tomorrow and it ends at 3.” I added.

“How about instead of all of us meeting here and wasting valuable catching up time we meet outside the guy’s locker room?” Chloe asked.

“Gosh Chloe, you will do anything to see guys with no shirts, won’t you?”

“I promise I won’t peak inside.”

“Ok then. We will all meet outside the guy’s locker room at 3.” I said.

“I have to go now before we start up with the discussion of shirtless guys.”

Lana started to get up and I got up with her and walked her to the door.

“Bye Clark.”

“Bye Lana.”

I opened the door and watched her walk down the hallway into her dorm. The night went by very slowly. Chloe and I watched T.V. for what seemed like hours but in reality it was only minutes. All I could think of was what Lana and I would talk about. I don’t know why I am still feeling this way about her. I can’t believe that I am starting to care for her again. I wonder if she feels the same way.

A little constructive criticsm: Sometimes when there are 3 people in a scene, it's hard to tell who is saying what. Try to be aware of cluing in the reader in these situations. Other than that, great story.:)

Chapter 4:
Currently, I am in the guy’s locker room of the Metropolis Sharks. The room is filled with football players, all wanting to get out of here.

“Hey guys. There is this hot chick outside!” One of the guys said.

“What does she look like?” I asked.

“She has black hair and a body that can drive any guy crazy.”

I had a feeling about what they were talking about. I checked the clock on the wall and it was 3. It was probably Lana. Just to make sure that I was right. I went outside and checked. It was her, luckily she didn’t see me.

“That’s Lana Lang. She is waiting for me.”

“Why would she be waiting for you Kent?”

“We are supposed to go and have coffee.”

“Can you give her this for me?”

All of a sudden about five guys handed me pieces of papers with their names and numbers on it. I can’t believe how desperate they are. I finished getting dressed and went outside. I saw Lana there, again, leaning against the wall next to the door.

“Hey Lana.” I said as I walked closer to her.

“Hi Clark.” She said as she got up from leaning against the wall.

“Where is Chloe?”

“I don’t know. Why don’t you call her? I am sure she is just running late.”

“That’s probably it. Let me call just in case.

I got my cell phone out of my pocket and dialed Chloe’s number.

“Hello?”

“Chloe, where are you?”

“I am sorry Clark but something came up. I can’t make it. You and Lana go and have coffee.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes I am sure. Go and have fun.”

“Ok, I will. Bye Chloe.”

“Bye Clark.”

I hung up the phone and put it back in my pocket.

“Bad news, Chloe can’t make it. Something came up.”

“Why is that bad news?”

“Didn’t you want to hang out with Chloe?”

“I want to hang out with you too.”

“Then let’s go. Before I forget, I have something to give you.”

I reached into a pocket of my football bag and got out the phone numbers.

“Here.”

“What is it?”

“Phone numbers.”

“Of who?”

“Some of the football players saw what you looked like and called you hot. I said that I knew you and then started giving me their phone numbers to give to you.”

“Wow.”

“I know. Should we take your car or mine?”

“I didn’t bring my car. I walked from my dorm.”

“I guess we are taking my car then.”

“I guess so.”

Lana and I started to walk towards the nearest parking lot to the locker room.

“My car is right here.”

“When did you get this car?”

It was a black Escalade. All the guys on the team have one. It’s almost part of the uniform.

“When you are playing for the Metropolis Sharks, you get whatever you want and more.”

“Nice.”

We got into the car and started driving out of the parking lot.

“Where do you want to go?”

“I saw this coffee place down the street.”

“The coffee place down the street it is.”

We drove to the coffee shop down the street and went inside.

“So what is the real reason you came back to Kansas?”

“I don’t know if I should tell you.”

“You can tell my anything, you know that.”

“It’s just that, it’s kind of embarrassing.”

“I have tons of embarrassing moments.”

“Tell me one of them first.”

“Fine, one time when I was around the age of two, my mom was giving me a bath and I was in the tub and suddenly, I jumped out of the tub and ran around the farm, totally naked.”

“Really?”

“No but I am sure that if I think really hard I can think of something. Just not right now.”

“Very funny.”

“So just tell me why you came back.”

“I came back because I kind of missed you.”

Did I just hear that she missed me? I am starting to wonder if she likes me.

“I missed you too Lana.”

“I am glad that someone missed me.”

“A lot of people missed you.”

“Clark, I need to ask you something.”

“What is it? You can ask me anything.”

“Why didn’t you say goodbye the day I left?”

“I went to the airport and I saw you with Lex.”

“So it was you. As Lex was leaving, I saw you. I walked over to where you were standing and all I saw was a white rose.”

“I was going to give you the rose.”

“Oh.”

“Yup.”

“What were you going to tell me the night before?”

“I was going to tell you not to leave and I was going to tell you something that you wanted to know about me.”

“Why don’t you tell me now?”

“I am not sure if I should. Eventually I will but now is not the time.”

“Do you promise that one day you will?”

“I promise.”

“Good.”

“Do you want another cup of coffee?” I said as I looked in Lana’s empty cup.

“No, I am fine.”

“Do you want to go then?”

“Sure.”

I paid for the coffee and both of us got into my car. We drove to the dorms. We got out and started walking to Lana’s dorm.

“We should do this again.” Lana said.

“Yes we should.”

“How about we go to a movie tomorrow?”

“Is Lana Lang asking me out on a date?”

“I guess I am. So what do you say, do you want to go out with me?”

“I would love to.”

We go to Lana’s door just as the wonderful room 15 girls came out.

“Hi Clark.” One of them said.

“Hey.”

“Ladies, I am so sorry to kill your dream but Clark is taken.” Lana said.

“Oh, well see you later.” The other girl said before they closed the door.

“Thanks.” I said looking back at Lana.”

“No problem.”

“But who am I taken by?”

“Who do you want to be taken by?”

“Right now, you.”

“You can’t have me yet but if everything goes well tomorrow then maybe you will be taken by me.”

“Then let’s hope that it goes well.”

“Goodbye Clark.”

“Goodbye Lana.”

Lana closed the door and I started walking towards my dorm. I hope everything goes well tomorrow.

Chapter 5:
It was 8 o’clock on the dot and I was about to leave my dorm to pick up Lana for our date.

“Ok, Chloe, I am leaving.”

“Oh look. You’re not wearing plaid!”

“Shut up. Bye.”

“Have fun but not too much fun.”

“Bye.”

I walked out of the door and walked to the end of the hallway to Lana’s dorm. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. Lana opened the door.

“Hey.” She said.

“Hi. Are you ready to go?”

“Yes I am.”

“Ok then let’s go.”

Lana closed her door and we walked out to the parking lot. When we got to my car, I opened the door for Lana on the passenger’s side and then closed it when she got in. I got into the driver’s seat and started driving towards the movie theater. When we got out, we looked at the list of the movies.

“Which one do you want to see?” I asked Lana.

“I am not sure. How about Mr. and Mrs. Smith?”

“Sure.”

I paid for the tickets and they went to the concession stand. We got a bucket of popcorn and two sodas. We then walked into the main theater where we movie was going to start soon. Lana and I took a seat all the way at the top of the theater.

“Do you know what they call these seats?” I asked.

“No, what?”

“The make out seats.”

“Don’t expect any kisses from me tonight. Remember that this is a first date.”

“Oh darn.”

“The movie is starting.”

Halfway through the movie, Lana reached over to get some popcorn. U had placed the popcorn bucket in my lap. It had been there the whole entire movie but when Lana reached over this time, it wasn’t. All that was there was my lap. Once Lana had realized that there was no popcorn there, she removed her hand as quickly as possible.

“Are you looking for the popcorn?” I asked.

“Yes I was.”

“I don’t think it’s there.”

“I think I know that now. I am really sorry about that.”

“It’s ok but just to let you know, there is no more popcorn left.”

“Ok.”

We finished watching the movie with me thinking the whole entire time of what had happened. I can’t believe that Lana touched me below the belt. We got out of the movie theater and started walking to the car.

“That Brad Pitt is something.”

“So Lana was a thing for Brad Pitt?”

“What? I am sure that you have a thing for Angelina Jolie.”

“She is ok but I like someone else.”

“Oh ya, who?”

“You.”

“Clark Kent likes me?”

“Clark Kent like you.”

“Well, Lana Lang likes you too.”

“So we both like each other. What now?”

“Now I kiss you.”

Lana leaned up to me and we kissed. It was one of the greatest kisses I shared with Lana even though I have kissed her before.

“Does this mean that I am taken by you now?”

“Yes it does so if those girls bother you again, you just let me know.”

“I will, don’t worry.”

I am sorry guys, but I am having some writer's block on this story. If you have any ideas that you want to throw at me, then throw them but not to hard. If I get hurt then I can't type. I will try and post the next chapter as soon as possible but as I said, I am running low on ideas.

My advice would be to figure out where you want to end the story. Once you know where it's going, the how to get there part fills itself in on it's own. :) Good luck.

Sorry for the delay. I hope I got everything right. If I didn't, then I am sorry. I changed it to third person instead of Clark's point of view because I thought that I would be able to write better that way. Here it is, the long awaited chapter 6:


Chapter 6:

Clark helped Lana back into the car before getting into the driver’s seat and driving back to the collage campus. They didn’t talk much on their drive back. There wasn’t really that much to say. Lana occasionally looked at Clark who was concentrated on the road. The last thing that he wanted to do was get into an accident after he just shared a kiss with her. He was determined to make this work. When the got to the dorm, Clark parked the car and they both started walking to their dorms. As Lana was unlocking her dorm, Clark stopped her.

“Lana, I was wondering if tomorrow we could go take a walk. I need to you about this.”

“About what?”

“About us.”

“Sure. Of course we can.”

“Thanks. I will pick you up around 3.”

Clark kissed Lana on the cheek before she walked into her dorm. Clark walked down the hallway but was stopped by the girls in room 15. Did he really have to get Lana again?

“Clark, we just want to apologize for bothering you.” One of them said.

“That’s ok, just don’t do it again.” Clark said.

Clark continued walking down the hallway and opened his door. He found Chloe lying on the couch watching television.

“Hey Clark. How was your date?”

“Pretty good actually. Scoot over.” Clark said sitting on the other side of the couch.

“Chloe, can I ask you something?”

“Of course, you know that.”

“When I told you my secret, were you glad that I did?”

“Yes I was because I think that it made us better friends.”

“Ok.”

“Are you thinking about telling Lana?”

Clark took a deep breath.

“Yes.”

“Why don’t you?”

“What if she takes it bad?”

“I didn’t.”

“Chloe I remember what happened when I told you. You stood there, dropped your jaw and fainted.”

“I am an easy fainter. I don’t think Lana will react like that.”

“What if she hates me? Because of me her parents died.”

“Don’t say that Clark. You were just a little boy, you had no control over the situation.”

“I guess you’re right. I just don’t know how to tell her.”

“Tell her like you told me.”

“You found out remember. You already knew it before I told you.”

“Right.”

“Do you have any ideas?”

“How about you write her a letter?”

“That’s a good idea.”

“Go work on it now and leave me alone. My movie is starting.”

“What movie?”

“Troy starring Brad Pitt.”

“You have watched that movie five times already.”

“No I haven’t. I have only watched it two times.”

“Whatever, I have already seen one Brad Pitt movie too many today.”

“What?”

“I went to go and see Mr. and Mrs. Smith today.”

“Clark, we were supposed to see that together.”

“Sorry but I saw it with Lana.”

“How was the movie anyways?”

“Good, I guess. The very middle of the movie was just perfect though.”

Clark got out of his seat and headed for his room.

“Why do you say that?”

Clark opened the door.

“Because we ran out of popcorn.”

Clark walked in and closed it behind him leaving Chloe very confused. He went to his dresser and took out his plaid pajama bottoms. He took off his jeans, t-shirt and put on the pajama bottoms leaving him shirtless. Clark took a seat on the chair that belonged to his wooden desk and started writing everything that he wanted to say to Lana. When he was done, the letter was almost two pages long. He put it in an envelope and left it on his desk to give it to Lana tomorrow.

Chapter 7:

Clark awoke with the nervousness and excitement of giving Lana the letter. He rolled to the side to see the blank wall. He has been meaning to buy something for that wall but never had the time. Clark got off the bed and walked over to the door leading outside.

“Damn it, Clark, put some clothes on.” Chloe said.

“I do have clothes on, can’t you see the pants or would you like me to take them off too?”

“Oh please do. After that, I will take off my clothes and we can walk around the campus naked.”

“If I have no clothes on then where will I put all the phone numbers I get from girls?”

“Why don’t you stick them up your ass?”

“Why don’t you stick them up yours?”

“Nice come back. Did you get that one from the book for second graders come backs?”

“Yes I did. I found it in your room.”

“Nice one.”

“Look, I am going to take a shower. I will get out with just a towel on, if you don’t mind.”

“No, not at all. I will just go and get the girls from room 15 to come and watch.”

“You wouldn’t.”

“I would.”

“Look, if you can, I left the letter for Lana on my desk. Can you go and give it to her?”

“What I am your messenger?”

“Just for today.”

“Fine I will but if you see the girls from room 15 in here, don’t start getting all pissed off.”

“I know you wouldn’t do that and thank you for the messenger thing.”

Clark walked into the bathroom and turned on the hot water. It wasn’t a very big bathroom but it was big enough to fit all of Clark and Chloe’s stuff. Chloe had decorated the whole dorm room but never made it to the bathroom yet. He pulled the curtain away and removed his clothing getting in. The water relaxed him. It made him forget about everything but he was snapped back into reality when he heard a door close. It was Chloe leaving. Chloe walked down the hallway from her dorm to Lana’s. She knocked on the door and Lana’s roommate answered.

“Hi is Lana here?” Chloe asked.

“Yes she is, come in.” Her roommate said.

“Lana, your friend is here.” She said.

“Thanks.” Lana said as she came out of the bathroom.

“Lana, I have to go. I will see you later.” Her roommate said.

“Bye.” Lana said.

“Chloe, what do you need?” Lana asked Chloe after her roommate left.

“Clark told me to give you this. Make sure that you don’t show anyone.”

“What is it?”

“You will see inside. Meanwhile, I think that Clark is getting out of the shower right about now. Would you like to see him in a towel?”

“I would love to. Let’s get going. I don’t want to miss anything.”

“Should we invite the girls from room 15?”

“I don’t think so.”

“Right.”

Chloe and Lana walked out of the room and down the hallway into Chloe’s dorm room. The shower was still running, so Chloe and Lana sat on the couch. The water stopped and both heads turned towards the door.

“Isn’t he going to get mad?” Lana whispered.

“No. I told him that I would do this.”

“You did?”

“I will explain at a later time.”

The door’s lock clicked and the door slowly opened. Clark appeared out of the room with a towel around his waist. When he saw the smiling faces of Chloe Sullivan and Lana Lang, he was shocked and confused.

“Chloe Sullivan, what did you do?” Clark asked.

“I invited Lana over. I think she would enjoy this little show more than the other girls.” Chloe said.

“Is Lana satisfied? Are you enjoying this show like Chloe said you would?” Clark asked.

“I think so but you couldn’t find a shorter towel?” Lana asked.

“Sorry, I will go out and buy some later meanwhile I am going to get dressed so those smiles of yours would disappear.”

“Party pooper.” Chloe said.

Clark started walking towards his room. He opened the door, walked in but didn’t close it. Instead he extended his arm outside the door and dropped something before slamming the door shut to get the girl’s attention. Both girls looked from the doorknob to the floor and smiled once more when they saw the towel lying on the floor.

“Chloe, I am sorry but I have to go.” Lana said.

“Make sure to read the letter soon, possible today, and by yourself.” Chloe said.

“I will.” Lana said.

She walked to the door and opened it.

“If Clark does anything that would amuse me then please take pictures.” Lana said.

“Don’t worry, I will.”

Lana walked outside and down the hallway. She walked out of the dorm complex and down the street to a nearby park. Lana walked down to a bench that was near a fountain and sat down before opening the envelope.

Lana,
I know that you are probably thinking why I am writing you a letter but I am doing it for a good reason. You see, what I am about to tell you will probably affect our relationship. When you told me that you liked me yesterday and then kissed me, I was so happy. On the drive back to our dorms, the only thing that I could think about was that I wanted this time to work. I don’t want to keep secrets from you anymore. I don’t want to lie to you anymore and I certainly don’t want to break up with you after only dating for three days because of those secrets and lies. I hope that you can understand why I didn’t tell you this before. I guess I should start from the beginning. I am not sure when I was born, of course, but I do know where. I wasn’t born in Smallville, this country or this planet. I was born on a planet called Krypton. No one knows about it because it exploded before I was born. My mother and father, biological parents, are dead along with everyone that is even close to being like me. My father sent me to Earth when I was a baby so I wouldn’t die, that was the nicest thing he ever did. My father’s name was Jor-El and my mother’s name was Lara. My real name is Kal-El. The day I arrived on Earth was also the day that the meteor shower happened in Smallville. My biological father used the meteor shower to mask my arrival on Earth. My adopted parents, the ones that you know, and Chloe know about all of this. So does Pete, but we don’t talk to him anymore since he moved. My parents and Chloe say that it wasn’t my fault that all of those people got infected by the meteor rocks or that all of those people died, including your parents. If you think that it is my fault then I am sorry for all of your pain and suffering. By the time I was in high school, I had two abilities. By the time I graduated high school, I had a total of six abilities. Before I went to high school, I had super strength and super speed. The first week of school, I found out that I was invulnerable when Lex crashed into me causing both of us to fall into the river. My freshmen year, I developed x-ray vision, letting me see through anything and everything. Heat vision came in my sophomore year and enhanced hearing, letting me hear the quietest things, came in my junior year. Go back to sophomore year, when I first kissed you, well when you think I first kissed you (I will explain later). If you can remember, I was acting differently then I usually did. I was under the influence of something called red kryptonite, known to everyone else as red meteor rock. It affects me emotionally, causing me to forget about any consequences. I was also on it when I left for Metropolis the summer after our sophomore year. I left because I had caused my parents to lose their unborn baby. I know that you may be thinking that it wasn’t my fault but it was. I was trying to get rid of my spaceship, the one that my biological parents sent me in. My father said that it was time to fulfill my destiny or the destiny that he wanted me to fulfill. He was trying to get me to rule this planet but I didn’t want to. I thought that if I destroyed the ship, the way that my father contacted me and the way that my father put a scar on my chest (it’s gone now just so you know), then everything would by fine. I guess you can say that it was my father’s fault that we broke up. I was also under the influence when Alicia and I got married. She drugged me, you could say. She wanted me to go with her to California and I didn’t want to so she put a necklace made out of red kryptonite around my neck causing me to forget everything. She teleported us to Las Vegas, we got married and we were close to the honeymoon but she took off the necklace wanting the regular Clark Kent to be there. I quickly got away from her. I gave her a second chance when she saved my secret. She got shot for me. She didn’t try to kill you and Jason that day either. I was too late and she had died. You probably know that but I thought that I should tell you again. Let’s see, I have already told you about my origins, my abilities and the bad Clark Kent version. One more thing, I am deathly allergic to one thing and one thing only. I am allergic to green kryptonite, as known as green meteor rocks. That is why I couldn’t get around you when you were wearing your necklace made out of meteor rock. If I stay around it long enough I can die. I almost did one day. It was when Van McNulty shot me. He found about me being allergic to it and made special bullets. He shot me and I went down. My father saved me though my taking out the bullet by himself. I have told you everything now. I have no more secrets. I have no more lies. I would have written down about the first time I got the abilities but I thought that I shouldn’t so you wouldn’t hate me more. The only two I really remember were the heat vision and the x-ray vision. They both involve you. If you hate me then that is fine. I was expecting it. I didn’t want us to get too involved and then break up because of this. I would rather break up with you sooner rather than later so we don’t have so much pain. I am not saying that I want to break up with you because that is the last thing I want to do. If you still want to be my friend or my girlfriend then meet me on the stands of the football stadium at 11. If you don’t want to, then don’t come. I will be standing there for only thirty after 11. I guess this is either the end of this relationship or the start of what I am hoping to be a great one. I love you Lana Lang. I always have and I always will.

A single tear fell down Lana’s cheek. She didn’t know what to think. She was expecting this at all. She looked at her watch. It was 10:45. She had the choice of running to the football stadium and making it there at 11 or going back to her dorm and never seeing Clark Kent ever again. She thought about what to do. She didn’t know what to do. She could listen to her head, that was saying to stay away from an alien or she could listen to her heart that was telling her to run to that stadium and be with the man that she loved for the rest of her life. Whoever said that listening to your head was better than listening to your heart was stupid. Lana got up from her seat, put the letter back into its envelope, folded it up and put it into her back pocket. After that, she started running. She ran as fast as she could. She ran so fast that she thought she was the one with the super speed. She stopped, looked at her watch and smiled. She made it. She walked onto that field. Lana saw a lonely figure standing right in the middle. She started running again. She got up to him, tapped him on his shoulder. Clark turned around and smiled.

“I see you got my letter.”

Lana didn’t say anything, all she did was hold his face in her hands and kiss him as passionately as she could. Like Van McNulty said at the beginning of junior year. Clark was a freak and Lana was a freak lover.

Chapter 8:

When they both pulled away from the kiss, they couldn’t breath.

“Wow.” Clark said.

Lana was still speechless.

“Why don’t we go sit down?”

Lana nodded before both of them walked towards the bleachers. They sat not to high up but not to high down either.

“I have some questions, Clark.”

“You can ask me anything.”

“What about the day of the tornado?”

“Oh, well I saved you then too.”

“How exactly.”

“Let’s see, I had left the dance and I ran all the way over to where I saw your truck. The truck lifted off the floor and I ran for it. Before I knew it I was on top of you. Sorry by the way.”

Lana let out a small laugh.

“It’s ok. I just wanted to know exactly how you did it. In your letter, you said that you could tell me about the day that you got your abilities. You said that they both involved me, can you tell me about that?”

“You already embarrassed me once before with the towel, are you sure that you want to know?”

“Yes.”

“Which one? The x-ray vision or the heat vision?”

“The x-ray one. It probably embarrasses you more.”

“I don’t know. You might get a little embarrassed yourself.”

“What did I do?”

“Let’s see. I was in gym class. You had just gone into the girl’s locker room when Pete and I got chosen to climb those wonderful ropes. When we got closer to the top, I got what I thought was a really bad headache. When I opened my eyes, I could see all of the muscles in Pete’s face. The headache started again and I dropped to the floor. When I landed on the floor, the x-ray vision was still in affect and I could see straight through the wall of the girl’s locker room. I promise, I wasn’t trying to but what happened after left me with a very big smile the whole day. You came out of the showers wearing nothing but a small towel. You turned around, faced the fall and dropped it.”

Like the towel, Lana’s jaw dropped down to the floor.

“You are lying, right?”

“Nope. I saw everything.”

“Clark Kent, you little pervert.”

“I promise I was trying to do it. It just happened, I couldn’t control it yet.”

“You promise?”

“I promise.”

“Next story please. Find a way to embarrass yourself this time.”

“This one will really embarrass me.”

“Good.”

“I am not sure what really happened but it was the start of sophomore year, like you probably already know. The first time it happened was in science class when we were all watching the sex education film and the second time was when I was at the Talon with you after Lex’s wedding.”

“I don’t get why that is embarrassing.”

“We were watching a sex education film and then I was with you. Don’t you see a sort of connection?”

“I am sorry but I don’t.”

“Sex and Lana. Lana and sex.”

“I still don’t see a connection.”

“Sex with Lana. Sex with you. Both times I was thinking about you and sex. Sex with you. I was thinking about having sex with you.”

Lana started laughing hysterically.

“Lana, it’s not funny. I had to stay away from you for a couple days afraid I would start another fire.”

“I’m sorry but if something like that happened to me. I would be laughing too.”

“If you started fires with your eyes when you thought about having sex with me, the whole city of Smallville would have probably gone down.

“Clark, I didn’t think about having sex with you at all during high school.”

“That is very sad. I think about having sex with you and you don’t want to with me. You are such a nice person.”

“I hope you can control your abilities now.”

“Why? I am not thinking about having sex with you right now.”

“Then what are you thinking?”

“That I want to kiss you again.”

Clark slowly kissed Lana. The kiss became more and more passionate with each minute.

“I am determined to make this work Lana. To make us work.”

“It will Clark. It will.”

“Do you want to go and get some lunch?”

“Sure.”

Clark and Lana started walking down the bleachers.

“Do you want to invite Chloe?” Lana asked.

“Sure. Let me call her.”

Clark pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and started dialing Chloe’s cell phone number.

“Hey Clark.” Chloe said.

“How did you know it was me?”

“I have caller id.”

“Right. I was wondering if you wanted to have lunch with me and Lana?”

“Are you saying that she is ok with it?”

“Yup.”

“That’s good. How about you meet me at that restaurant on the corner across from campus.”

“We will be there.”

“I will see you in a little bit.”

Clark hung up the phone and turned back at Lana.

“Chloe is going to meet us at the restaurant.”

“Good.”

“Let’s go.”

Clark and Lana started walking down the sidewalk. Lana looked at Clark and then down at his hand. She grabbed his hand and both of them walked hand in hand to the restaurant. When they arrived at the restaurant, Chloe was already there.

“How did you get here earlier than us?” Clark asked as both him and Lana sat down in the booth.

“I was driving my car when you called me and I was only two minutes away.” Chloe answered.

“Ok.” Clark said.

“So Lana, I heard that Clark finally spilled the beans.” Chloe said.

“Yes he did and I am glad that he did too.” Lana said.

“It’s about time.” Chloe said.

“How long have you known Chloe?” Lana asked.

“Since high school was over. I kind of found out from Alicia.”

“She told you?” Clark asked.

“Not really. She sort of showed me.” Chloe replied.

“How?”

“By saying that her brakes were damaged to you on the phone and then teleporting us somewhere where we could see you catch a car like a beach ball.” Chloe said.

“I knew there was something strange about that. I was wondering why she just didn’t teleport herself away from her car.”

“Now you know.”

“Can we not talk about Alicia? I still don’t really like her.” Lana said.

“Sure.” Clark said putting an arm around Lana.

Clark gave her a small kiss.

“You guys make me sick, do you know that? Are you guys going to start getting all mushy gushy on me?”

“Sure, why not.” Clark said giving Lana another kiss.

“Why don’t you get a room?”

“What’s the fun of that? I personally love making you sick.” Clark said.

“Do you know what I personally love?” Chloe asked.

“Making my life a living hell by inviting my girlfriend watch me get out of the bathroom?” Clark said.”

“That and kicking you.” Chloe said kicking Clark underneath the table.

“Remember, you can’t hurt me.” Clark said.

“I hate you.” Chloe said.

“I hate you too. Now let’s order because I am starving.”

“You are always starving. That’s why I never have any food in the fridge.” Chloe said.

“Maybe you eat it all.” Clark said.

“Watch it Kent. I have dirt on you that I wouldn’t mind telling Lana.” Chloe said.

“Please do tell, Chloe.” Lana said.

“I don’t know if I should. I will leave it for another time. How about tomorrow night? We could have a slumber party type thing?” Chloe asked.

“Sounds like fun. As long as you don’t freeze my bra.” Clark said.

“Don’t worry, we won’t freeze your bra. Just your boxers…” Chloe said.

“…Waiter!” Chloe said sticking her hand up in the air before Clark could say anything.

The waiter soon came and Clark, Chloe, and Lana ordered before eating. Chloe and Clark went back to their dorm with Lana going to hers. When Chloe and Clark walked into their dorm, all she could talk about was tomorrow night. The only words that Clark actually heard was ‘truth or dare.’

Chapter 9:

“Clark, let’s move. Lana is going to be here any minute.” Chloe yelled from the living room.

“Hold your horses. I am coming. Just give me like two more minutes.” Clark said from his room.

“What are you doing? Trying new hairstyles? You can’t really do much with it.” Chloe said.

“I am just trying to figure out what to wear.”

“What do you mean? This is a slumber party. You are supposed to wear pajamas.”

“Do you want me to wear what I wore this morning?”

“Why not?”

“Fine. Shirt or no shirt?”

“Do you sleep with your shirt on?”

“No.”

“Ok then, no shirt.”

Clark came out of his room wearing plaid pajama bottoms and no shirt just like Chloe said.

“I didn’t think you would actually wear no shirt.” Chloe said as he sat on the couch next to her.

“Should I go put one on then?” Clark asked.

“No that’s fine. You look better without one anyways.”

“Did Chloe Sullivan just come on to me?”

“No. I am just saying that you do. You also look better with a paper bag over your head but I am not telling you to put one on.”

“Shut up.”

“You shut up.”

“I told you first.”

“I told you second.”

“What?”

“Who?”

“Exactly.”

“I have no clue what we are talking about.”

“Me either.”

A knock came to the door.

“Saved by the bell, or should I say knock.”

Chloe got off the couch and answered the door to find Lana dressed in pink pajamas with match bunny slippers.

“Lana, I love the shoes.” Chloe said letting Lana in.

Lana walked into the living room and saw Clark standing up. Lana looked him up and down liking what she saw.

“Mushy gushy again.” Chloe said closing the door.

“We didn’t do anything.” Lana said.

“Lana, you are looking at Clark like he is a piece of candy.” Chloe said walking towards her.

Lana turned to face Chloe.

“A piece of very nice candy.”

“Again, you make me sick.”

“Thanks.”

Lana went up to Clark and gave him a kiss.

“What are we doing first?” Lana asked while all three of them sat down.

Clark and Lana were seated on the couch while Chloe was sitting on the love seat next to the couch.

“I was thinking a nice game of truth or dare.” Chloe answered.

“I don’t think so.” Clark said.

“Why not?” Lana asked.

“Last time I ended up playing truth or dare with Chloe, I almost ended up running naked around the hallways of Smallville High.” Clark answered.

“I remember that. The only reason you got out of it was because Pete said that he didn’t want to see you naked.” Chloe said.

“No body wants to see me naked.” Clark said.

“I wouldn’t mind.” Lana said tracing Clark’s arm with her fingers.

“I wouldn’t mind seeing you naked either.” Clark said giving Lana a kiss on the cheek.

Chloe leaned over in her chair and started making puking noises.

“We’re sorry, Chloe. Just because of that I will make Clark play truth or dare.” Lana said.

“No you won’t.” Clark said.

“Yes I will.” Lana said.

“How?” Clark asked.

“I will give you a kiss if you play and one for every time you choose dare.” Lana said.

“Fine but can I get a advancement on my kisses?” Clark asked.

“Sure.”

Lana gave Clark a kiss.

“Let’s play. I am getting sick of all this kissing. Next time, please tell me when your are going to kiss you next time so I can look away.” Chloe said.

“Fine, look away, Chloe.” Clark said getting another kiss from Lana.

“We are playing now. No more kissing.” Chloe said.

“Fine. You can go first.” Clark said.

“Thank you. Lana, truth or dare?” Chloe asked.

“Let’s see. How about dare?” Lana said.

“Let me see. You have to run around the dorm naked.”

Lana looked at Chloe with an open mouth.

“I was just kidding. We will leave that for Clark. I don’t want you to do something too bad so I have to think for a minute.”

“Think fast. Each second that you waste, I will kiss Lana.” Clark said.

“Take your time Chloe.” Lana said kissing Clark.

“Again, you make me sick. My dare for Lana is that you have to get the chocolate syrup, put some on Clark’s neck and then lick it off.”

“I don’t know if I should. I mean Clark is involved and I don’t think he wants me licking his neck to get chocolate syrup off. How did you think of that?”

“I have no clue how I thought about it and you have to do it. Clark has no say in the matter. It is a dare and dares are meant to be done.”

“Fine. Where is the chocolate syrup?”

“In the fridge.”

Lana got up and went to the fridge. She opened it and got out the chocolate syrup. She couldn’t stop thinking about how she was actually going to do this. She didn’t mind licking Clark but she felt uncomfortable doing it in front of Chloe.

“I have the syrup.” Lana said walking back to Clark.

Lana started laughing when she saw Clark extending his neck so she could lick better.

“Clark, you are so full of yourself. You know that I wouldn’t do this if it was a dare.”

“Of course you wouldn’t. Now hurry up so we can get Chloe back.”

“Fine.”

Lana put a bit of syrup on Clark and then started cleaning it off with her tongue.

“Enough! I had enough! I can’t believe that I told you to do that and I can’t believe that you actually did it.” Chloe shouted.

“You told me I had to.”

“I was kidding. Oh well. What’s done is done. Who’s going next?”

“I am going to ask next. Chloe, truth or dare?” Clark said.

“Truth.” She answered.

“Chicken. Fine, if you could be anywhere else but here, where would you be?” Clark asked.

“That’s easy, away from you two.”

“Seriously Chloe? Where would you be?” Lana asked.

“Lying on a beach in Hawaii. I have always wanted to go there but never got the chance.”

“That’s pretty cool. I have always wanted to go there too.” Lana said.

“I wouldn’t mind seeing tons of girls in bikinis.” Clark said.

“Hey, the only girl that you will ever see in a bikini is me.” Lana said hitting Clark’s arm.

“I have no problem with that.” Clark said.

“I wish I could get away from here right now. Lana it’s your turn.” Chloe said.

“Good. I think that it’s only fair that I ask Clark something now because we have already gone. So Clark, truth or dare?” Lana asked.

“Dare.” Clark said quickly.

“Not afraid are we?”

“Nope. There is nothing that can make me embarrassed.”

“We’ll see about that. I dare you to go outside into the hallway and knock on the door of room 15. Then say that you would like to rethink that offer about them doing anything for you.”

“Are you serious?”

“Yes. You have to come back here and tell us what they would do for you.”

“Alright.”

Clark got up and started walking to his room.

“Where are you going?” Lana asked.

“To put some clothes on.” Clark answered.

“No way. You go out like that.” Lana said.

“I am wearing pajama bottoms and no shirt. Do you really want me to go out there like this?”

“Yes.”

“Fine.”

Clark walked towards the door and opened it. He checked to see if anyone was out there and luckily there wasn’t. Chloe and Lana watched him walk down the hallway and knock on the door. The girls opened it and they started talking. Clark soon came back and closed the door.

“What did they say?” Lana said.

“Let’s see, there was a mention of sucking something and condoms.”

Chloe and Lana burst out into laughter.

“What’s so funny? You are the ones that told me to ask them.” Clark said.

“Nothing. Let’s do something else. I am started to find truth or dare stupid.” Chloe said.

“I know. Whoever thought of playing this game in the first place is so stupid.” Clark said sitting on the couch next to Lana.

“Hey, I was the one that wanted to play it.” Chloe said.

“I know.” Clark said.

Chloe threw a pillow at Clark but Lana caught it.

“Hey, don’t throw a pillow at him. It’s not nice.” Lana said putting the pillow down.

“He called me stupid.” Chloe said.

“That’s because you are.” Clark said.

“I know you are but what am I?” Chloe asked.

“Stupid.” Clark said.

“Children, children. Let’s not fight. You have to play like nice little kids. Why don’t we watch a movie?” Lana said.

Clark and Chloe looked at Lana before both sighing.

“What movie would you like to watch?” Lana asked.

“Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.” Clark said.

“Ms. Congeniality 2.” Chloe said.

“Tomb Raider.” Clark repeated.

“Ms. Congeniality.” Chloe said.

“’A Lot Like Love’ it is.” Lana said getting up to put the movie on.

“Fine.” Chloe and Clark said in unison.

“It’s about time you both agree on something.” Lana said going back to the couch.

“We always agree on stuff. We just don’t like telling anyone.” Clark said.

“Clark’s right. We just like fighting with each other. We know that even if we do fight, the other person will still be there.” Chloe said.

“You guys make me sick. Please don’t go all mushy gushy on me now.” Lana said making the same face Chloe did when she used those words.

“While the movie is still on the previews, I am going to get my pillow so I can lay on the floor.” Chloe said getting up.

Once Chloe left, Clark started kissing Lana. When Chloe came back, Clark and Lana pulled away.

“Please, don’t stop on my account. Continue with your make out fest. If things get too heated then I will just go to my room and hope that it is sound proof.” Chloe said.

“Ok.” Clark said before going back to kissing Lana.

“Clark!” Lana said pulling away.

“I was kidding.” Clark said.

“Let’s watch the movie.” Lana said.

With Clark sitting on the end of the couch, Lana snuggled up close to him. Chloe lay on the floor with the pillow underneath her head and all three of them watched the movie. As the movie went on, Chloe began to fall asleep. When she did, Clark turned to Lana.

“Maybe I should take her to her room.” Clark said.

“That’s a good idea.” Lana said getting up.

Clark got up and went over to Chloe. He picked her up by putting one arm underneath her legs and one around her back. Lana grabbed her pillow and they both walked into Chloe’s bedroom. Lana pulled the sheets down and put the pillow next to the headboard. Clark put Chloe down and pulled the sheets up to cover her. He kissed her forehead and they both walked out of the room with Clark closing the door. Clark went back tot he couch and lied on top of it.

“Clark.” Lana said standing in front of him.

“Yes Lana.” He replied.

“Where am I going to sit?”

“On the floor.”

“Clark.”

“I am kidding.” Clark said as he started to get up.

Lana stopped him.

“It’s ok. I will just lye on top of you.”

“I don’t think that is such a good idea.” Clark said.

“Why? I won’t try anything, I promise.”

“Fine. Come on.” Clark said reaching for Lana.

Lana laid on top of him with her head on his chest and they watched the rest of the movie like that. By the time the movie was over, they had both fallen asleep.

Chapter 10:
Chloe woke up to find that she was in her room and not on the floor of the living room like she last thought she was. She lifted her sheets from her small body and walked towards the door of her bedroom. Chloe opened it quickly but quietly and walked into the living room. She saw Lana lying on top of Clark on the couch, both sleeping. Chloe went back to her bedroom and got a blanket from closet. She went back to the two sleeping bodies and put the blanket over them both. Chloe went through her normal morning routine, of taking a shower, getting dressed and going for breakfast, all without waking up Clark and Lana. She was walking back to her dorm room with two coffee cups in her hand, one for Clark and one for Lana. Chloe walked into dorm room finding Clark and Lana waking up. She leaned on the doorframe watching them for a couple of minutes.

“Good morning.” Clark said when he was sure that Lana was awake.

“Good morning to you.” Lana replied.

“How did you sleep?”

“Fine and you?”

“Great.”

“That’s good.”

“I wonder how Chloe slept.”

“I am sure she slept fine. She was pretty out of it when we put her in her room last night.”

“Do you think that we really make her sick with what she calls all that mushy gushy stuff that we do?”

“I am sure that she is just kidding. She just likes to joke around.”

“Probably.”

“Can I have my morning kiss now?” Lana asked.

“Who says you get a morning kiss?” Clark asked.

“Me.”

“Fine.”

Clark raised his head and gave Lana a kiss that was quickly interrupted by Chloe.

“You do make me sick with what I call all that mushy gushy stuff you do.” Chloe said.

“Chloe, how long have you been standing there?” Clark asked.

“Since you guys woke up. I didn’t want to interrupt you guys while you were talking.” Chloe answered.

“So you interrupt our morning kiss?” Clark asks.

“Yes I do. Not take these coffees and get off the couch. Remember Clark, you have your first game today and you should be going to practice soon. Your parents called me on my cell phone this morning, since no one was answering the phone here, and told me that they will be at the game along with Lex.” Chloe said.

“That’s right, I forgot that I have practice earlier today. I better start getting ready. Chloe, you are coming right?” Clark asked.

“Yes I will be there.”

“What about you Lana? Are you going to the game?” Clark asked looking up at Lana.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She answered giving Clark another kiss.

“Coffee, now. No need to thank me either.” Chloe said closing the door with her foot and placing the coffees on the coffee table in front of the couch.

“Thanks.” Lana said getting off Clark.

“Yes thanks.” Clark said grabbing his cup.

“I have to get going, I am supposed to meet with Perry White at the Daily Planet for a job.” Chloe said.

“Perry White?” Clark asked.

“Yup, he got the editor in chief position at the Daily Planet a couple of days ago. I called him and asked him for a job and he told me that I should come by.” She answered.

“Chloe that’s great.” Clark said getting up and giving her a hug.

“I know. You should talk to him about a job too if you want.” Chloe said.

“Maybe I will. Probably not right now though. I have been busy with football and classes, so now is not a good idea.” Clark said.

“So as I said, I have to go and get a job and then I will go to your game.” Chloe said.

Chloe started walking to the door but turned around just as she was about to open it.

“Aren’t one of you going to wish me good luck?” Chloe asked.

“You don’t need it.” Clark and Lana said simultaneously.

Chloe smiled and walked out of the door.

“I can’t believe that Chloe might get a job at the Daily Planet. That is like her dream job.” Clark said after Chloe left.

“I know. Ever since I have known her, that is the job that she has wanted.” Lana said.

Clark sat down next to Lana and grabbed her hand holding it in hers.

“Lana, I want you to know something.” Clark said.

“What is it?” Lana asked.

“I love you.”

“Clark, I love you too.”

Lana pulled Clark in for a kiss filled with love and passion.

“I should get going, Clark. I have to take a shower and get out of these pajamas. What time does the game start?” Lana asked.

“The game starts at 12 and can I watch you get out of those pajamas?” Clark said with a grin.

“No.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

“Fine.”

Clark gave Lana a kiss on the cheek before both of them got up.

“Do I get anything if I win the game?” Clark asked.

“Maybe.”

“Can I get a preview of what I get?”

“I am not a movie, so no.”

“If you were a movie, you would be number one at the box office.”

“Thanks. Now I should get going.”

“Fine.

Lana gave Clark another kiss before she walked out of the dorm room still in her pajamas and bunny slippers.

Chapter 11:

The stands of the football stadium were filling up with Lana already sitting where she could see everything that was happening. She had saved seats for Chloe, the Kents and Lex even though she hasn’t seen Lex or Martha and Jonathan since she left for Paris.

“Hey Lana.” Chloe said as she sat down next to Lana.

“Hey, how was the interview?” Lana asked.

“It was great. Perry said that he would call me tomorrow to tell me if I got it or not.”

“I am sure that you did find. You will see, he is going to call tomorrow and he will say, ‘Chloe Sullivan, you got the job. Welcome to the Daily Planet.’”

“It will probably be more like, ‘Chloe, you got it, see you on Monday. Bye.’”

Chloe and Lana shared a laugh. Chloe looked at Lana who seemed nervous.

“Lana, are you nervous?” Chloe asked.

“Of course not. Why would I be?”

“You tell me.”

“Fine, I am. I am nervous. I am nervous because I am going to see the Kents and Lex again.”

“Why?”

“First of all, I haven’t seen either of them since I left and second of all I don’t know if Clark told his parents that we are dating.”

“Look, all three of them are going to be happy to see you. I am not sure if Clark told his parents that you guys are dating or that you know his secret so we will just have to see.”

“So do I tell them that we are dating or just let Clark tell them?”

“Maybe you should have Clark tell them.”

“Maybe I should.”

“Also make sure that you don’t mention anything about Clark’s secret around Lex.”

“Why?”

“Clark doesn’t ever want to tell him. Lex has always been suspicious and if he finds out, Clark is afraid that he will have his life put under a microscope by Lex. Plus, if Lex’s father, Lionel, finds out, Clark’s life will never be the same.”

“I don’t want that to happen. Don’t worry, Clark’s secret is safe with me.”

“Good.”

“Chloe!” A woman shouted as she walked towards the two girls.

“Mrs. Kent, how are you? It’s been such a long time since we have seen each other.” Chloe said as she pulled Martha in for a hug.

“I am doing great. How are you?”

“I am doing wonderful. I am so excited to see Clark play.”

“So am I.”

“Where is Mr. Kent?”

“He is parking the car. He wanted us to get good seats just in case you hadn’t arrived yet.”

“I got here a couple of minutes ago but I didn’t get the seats.”

“Then who did?”

Chloe moved aside and Martha saw Lana.

“Lana? Is that you?” Martha asked.

“Yes it is. How are you?” Lana said giving Martha a hug.

“I am great. When did you get back from Paris?”

They both released from the hug and sat down, Lana in between Chloe and Martha.

“Right before college started.” Lana answered.

“Are you going to Met U now?”

“Yes I am.”

“I am sure that Clark was very happy to see you.”

“I think he was.” Lana said looking at Chloe.

“Martha, Lex called and said that…Lana?” Jonathan said as he reached the three women.

“Hi Mr. Kent.” Lana said getting up.

“Lana, how are you?” Jonathan said giving Lana a hug.

“I am doing good and you?” She asked.

“Great.”

“That’s good.”

Jonathan sat next to his wife.

“Jonathan, what were you saying about Lex?” Martha asked.

“He said that he had a last minute meeting and couldn’t make it to the game.” He answered.

“That’s too bad. It’s Clark’s first game.” Martha said.

“Lana, what are you doing here?” Jonathan asked.

“I am watching Clark’s first football game.”

“I am sure that he is happy that you are here.”

“Like I told Mrs. Kent, I think he is.”

Chloe and Lana exchanged looks once more before the announcer welcomed everyone to the first game of the season.

“Greetings football fans and welcome to the first game of the season between the Topeka Valley Huskies and your Metropolis Sharks.”

The crowd started cheering as Chloe, Lana and Clark’s parents stood up clapping their hands together. You can see the cheerleaders next to the tunnel that leads to where the football players came from.

“Here are your Metropolis Sharks with your captains, Cameron Tiff and Austin Thompson and your starting quarterback, freshmen, Clark Kent!”

Chloe and Lana began cheering and whistling when they saw Clark appear. He was dressed in the football uniform just like all the other players were wearing. With his football helmet in his hand, Clark crossed the field to where Chloe, Lana and his parents were. All four people got off their seats and walked to the piece that separated the stands filled with fans and the football field two feet below.

“Hey mom and dad.” Clark said giving them a quick hug.

“Good luck out there son.” Jonathan said.

“Don’t worry I will. Where is Lex?” Clark asked.

“He couldn’t make it, sweetheart.” Martha says.

“Clark you better get going. The game is about to start and they need you out there.” Chloe said.

“I know but I need one more thing.” Clark said.

“What?” Lana asked.

“A good luck kiss.” He said.

With his parents very confused, Lana smiled and bent over to give Clark a kiss. When they broke apart, but still close together, Lana said good luck. Clark walked onto the field towards his teammates as everyone else sat down. Martha and Jonathan were still looking at Lana with confused expressions.

“I am sorry but did I forget to mention that Clark and I are dating again?” Lana asked.

“I think so Lana.” Martha said.

“Well, we are.”

“That’s great Lana. I am so happy for the two of you.” Martha said.

The game started, the game was played and then the game was finished with the Metropolis Sharks winning. The crowd cheered as all the players piled up to congratulate each other. Chloe and Lana hugged each other with excitement. The players ran into the locker room to get changed and hurry back to their friends.

“Chloe, I am going to go outside the locker room and surprise Clark.” Lana said.

“Sure, I will wait for you in the parking lot with Mr. and Mrs. Kent.” Chloe answered.

Lana got up and walked away from the stands. She passed the field and the other side of the stands. Lana stopped when she reached the outside of the locker room door. Football players started piling out with Clark coming out almost last. Clark didn’t see Lana when he got out so when he did, Lana jumped on his back and whispered in his ear.

“Congratulations my starting quarterback.” Lana whispered.

“Thank you.”

Clark let Lana down and turned around to face her.

“Do I get a kiss for playing so well?” Clark asked.

“Yes, you do.”

Lana kissed Clark.

“Thank you.”

Lana kissed Clark again.

“What was that kiss for?” Clark asked.

“For looking so cute in your football uniform. Those tight pants just drove me wild.”

Clark held Lana’s hand and they both walked away from the locker room.

“Those two kisses, were those what I got for winning the game?” Clark asked kissing Lana’s cheek.

“Maybe, you are just going to have to wait until later.”

“What’s happening later?”

“Like I said, you will have to wait.”

“Oh darn.” Clark said snapping his fingers.

“Your parents and Chloe are waiting for you in the parking lot.”

“I can’t wait to actually talk to my parents again. I have talked to them on the phone but I haven’t actually talked, just said ‘hello’ and ‘how are you?’”

“I am sure that your parents are very proud of you.”

“They must have been surprised when I kissed you.”

“You should have seen their faces.”

“What did you say to them?”

“After their faces went back to normal, I told them that we were dating again.”

“Did you tell them that you know my secret?”

“No, I thought that you should be the one to tell them. They probably shouldn’t hear it from me.”

“That’s a good idea. I will tell them when I see them right now.”

“That’s a good idea too.”

“Thank you for coming to my game.”

“You don’t have to thank me. I love seeing you play football.”

“I love seeing you.”

“Your sweet.”

Lana gave Clark another kiss before the two met up with Chloe and Clark’s parents.

“Clark!” Martha shouted as she walked over to her son.

Clark let go of Lana’s hand and hugged Martha.

“It’s so good to see you mom.” Clark said as he embraced his mother.

“I am glad to see you too.”

“How are you?”

“I am great. I am so proud of you, playing football in college and winning the game.”

“Thanks mom.”

Clark let go of his mom and moved to his dad.

“Clark, I am very proud of you.” Jonathan said.

“Thanks dad.”

Clark hugged Jonathan.

“Dad, can I talk to you about something?” Clark said.

“Sure, son.”

Clark and Jonathan walked a couple of feet away from the women.

“Son, what is it?” Jonathan asked.

“You know that I am dating Lana again, right?”

“I was assuming that since I saw you kiss her.”

“Well, we are and remember last time we tried dating. I broke up with her because of my secret.”

“I remember. What is it though?”

“I told her my secret.”

“What?”

“I told Lana my secret.”

“Why?”

“Because I love her and I want this to work.”

“What did she say?”

“She was fine with it and both of us haven’t been happier.”

“That’s good. I guess you know how to make the right decision now and I trust you.”

“Thank you dad.”

“Do you want me to tell your mom for you?”

“Can you?”

“Sure. Let’s go. Your mother and I should get going.”

Jonathan and Clark walked back to Chloe, Lana and Martha who were talking about college so far.

“Martha, we should get going if we want to make it back to Smallville before dark.” Jonathan announced.

“Sure, let me just say goodbye to everyone.”

Martha went over to Lana and Chloe and gave each of them a hug before hugging Clark and kissing him on the cheek. Martha and Jonathan got into their old red truck and drove back to Smallville.

“Clark, did Chloe tell you the good news?” Lana asked.

“Lana, there isn’t any good news yet.” Chloe said.

“What is it, Chloe? Good news or not, I want to know.” Clark said.

“Fine. Perry White said that he is going to call me tomorrow to tell me if I got the job or not.” Chloe answered.

“Chloe, that’s great.” Clark said hugging Chloe.

“Thanks Clark. I have to get going. I am staying over Lois’ tonight.” Chloe said.

“Finally, I get the place to myself. It’s about time.” Clark joked.

“Funny, Clark. My stuff is already in my car so I don’t have to go back to the dorm. I will see you tomorrow around 1.” Chloe said.

“Bye.” Clark and Lana said together.

Chloe got into her car and drove off leaving Clark with his arm around Lana.

“Lana Lang, would you like to go out with me tonight?” Clark asked.

“Is Clark Kent asking me out on a date?”

“Yes I am.”

“I would love to. Where are you taking me?”

“How about a movie?”

“Sure but do you remember what happened last time we went to the movies?”

“Of course I do. That is why I choose the movies. I am hoping to get a little reenactment.”

“Wow. You have a very dirty mind.”

“Only when I am around you.”

“Fine, let’s go to the movies but don’t expect anything.”

If you notice, I used the same names for the football team that Clark is against and the two team capitans that Smallville used in the episode 'Jinx.'

Chapter 12:

Lana and Clark got into Clark’s car and drove to the movie theaters close to campus. After the movie, they grabbed a sandwich at the café near their dorm. Currently, they were walking down the hallway towards their dorms.

“I had fun tonight.” Clark said.

“So did I but I had to keep looking to see if you moved the popcorn bucket.”

“First you touch me below the waist and now you are looking down there? Lana Lang, you are one very naughty girl.”

“Shut up Clark Kent, you know you liked it.”

“I wasn’t complaining.”

Clark and Lana walked further down the hallway hand in hand.

“I am dropping you off at your dorm or do you want to come over to mine?” Clark asked.

“I don’t know. What do you have planned in your dorm?” Lana asked giving Clark a grin.

“That depends, do you want the PG rated version or the R rated version?”

“Who has the naughty mind now?”

“I have always had it.”

“Why don’t we do the PG rated version with maybe a little PG-13 version mixed in and then later maybe R rated but I am not promising you anything.”

“I was just kidding about the R rated, I don’t want to pressure you or anything because I would never want to do that.”

“I know Clark but we can always talk about it later.”

“If you want to.”

“I do.”

Clark opened the room to his dorm and led Lana inside before closing the door.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” Clark asked.

“We just watched one.” Lana said.

“Right. What about watching T.V.?”

“There is nothing on.”

“Right again. Then what do you want to do?”

“I don’t know. It seems like there is nothing to do anymore.”

“I know.”

“Do you want to talk?”

“I would love to talk to you.”

“Cool.”

Lana and Clark sat on the couch.

“What do you want to talk about?” Clark asked.

“Let me think. Hold on. I got it. How are your classes going?”

“They are going great. What about yours?”

“Great too.”

“That’s good.”

“Yup, it is.”

The phone rang.

“I will get it.” Clark said.

Clark got off the couch and walked to the telephone.

“Hello.” Clark answered.

“Hey Clark, it’s Lex.” Lex replied on the other side of the phone.

“Lex, how is it going? I heard that you had a last minute meeting and you couldn’t make it to my game.”

“I know. I’m so sorry but one minute I was heading to your game and the next I was at an emergency meeting.”

“It’s ok, don’t worry about it. My parents, Chloe and Lana were there so it was all good.”

“Lana?”

“I guess I forgot to tell you that Lana goes to Metropolis University too and that we are dating again.”

“Yes, I do think you forgot about that.”

“Well, I told you. How is everything going by the way?”

“Everything’s good here. I wanted to invite you to a banquet I am having for the opening of the new Metropolis Museum. You can invite Lana if you would like.”

“What day is it?”

“A week from tomorrow, so, next Saturday.”

“I will talk to Lana and I will get back to you tomorrow, is that ok?”

“Sure. It’s formal so tuxedo for you and dress for Lana. I would be happy to pay for it.”

“Thanks Lex. I will talk to Lana.”

“No problem. I have to go but I will talk to you tomorrow.”

“Bye Lex.”

“Bye Clark.”

Clark hung up the phone and walked back to Lana, sitting next to her on the couch.

“Lex called as you probably already know and he wanted to invite us to the opening of the new Metropolis Museum. It is next Saturday and it is formal.”

“Sounds good. Remember last time we went to the opening of a museum.”

“I remember it will. I saved a homeless man from a run away bus.”

“That was you?”

“Yes it was.”

“Talk about hero.”

“It was nothing, really. I just stood in front of the bus and had it crash into me.”

“That is something. You deserve a reward or something.”

“I don’t think that the police is going to give a reward to an alien.”

“Yes but I know a certain girl that will.”

“You really think that the girls from room 15 will kiss me.”

Clark glanced at Lana who had a serious face.

“I was just kidding, Lana.” Clark said holding her hand.

“I know but I don’t really like those girls.”

“Are you jealous of the room 15 girls?”

“I am not jealous but the way they acted towards you. Can’t they find their own boyfriends? Why do they have to hit on mine.”

“Don’t worry, Lana. No one and I mean no one will ever take me away from you.”

“No one should ever try unless they want to get their ass kicked.”

“Come on, where is that kiss I was supposed to get?”

“Right here.” Lana said as she leaned in and kissed him.

“That was a good kiss.” Clark said.

“Good because there is a lot more where that came from.”

“Is that a promise?”

“You bet it is.”

Lana kissed Clark once more. It was a kiss that quickly got intense filled with love and passion. It was a kiss like no other. Lana quickly straddled Clark’s waist intensifying the kiss even more. Clark put his arms around Lana’s waist lifting her shirt from her back slightly.

“Clark, wait.” Lana said out of breath.

“I’m sorry. Did I do something wrong?” Clark asked.

“No, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just that I think that we need to talk about this first before we actually do anything.”

“Of course. Lana, I don’t want to pressure you in anyway like I told you before. If you don’t want to, then you don’t have to. We can keep making out because trust me, you are very good at that.”

Lana let out a little laugh putting her head on Clark’s shoulder.

“Thanks. It’s just that, well, I want our first time to be special. I want my first time to be special.”

“You mean you’re still a virgin?” Clark asked.

“I know it’s stupid but yes, I am.”

“It’s not stupid. I am still a virgin too.”

“You are? You mean you and Alicia never had sex?”

“No, remember, I told you in the letter.”

“Right, sorry, I forgot.”

“You and Jason never had sex either?”

“No.”

“Ok.”

“I know this might sound a little weird but when I was in high school, I always thought that you would be my first.”

“That’s not weird because I always thought that you would be my first too.”

“That’s a little strange that we both wanted each other to be our first.”

“Well, you were the first girl I ever loved.”

“You were the first guy I ever loved.”

“That’s nice.”

“Yup, it is.”

“So, did we finish talking about it?”

“I think so. Do you want to say anything?”

“Yes, I do.”

“What is it?” Lana asked lifting her head off of Clark’s shoulder to look at Clark’s face.

“I just want to let you know that I really love you.” Clark answered.

“I love you to Clark.”

Lana kissed Clark quickly before pulling him into a hug.

“You are the most wonderful man I have ever met. Do you know that?”

“Yes I do because you just told me.”

Lana let out a small laugh.

“And you are the most wonderful woman I have ever met.” Clark said.

“Thank you.”

“You don’t have to thank me. You should know that by now.”

Lana looked at Clark once more.

“Clark, since we have already talked about it. I was wondering if I could ask you something.”

“Of course. You can ask me anything you want.”

“Do you want to?”

“That depends, do you?”

“Yes I do.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes I am. I want you to make love to me.”

“I would love to.”

Lana smiled before kissing Clark. The kiss got more and more passionate just as they predicted it. Clark quickly lifted Lana off of his lap and walked both of them over to his room. He closed the door with his foot and placed Lana gently on the bed. Lana looked up at Clark who was standing on the foot of the bed. Clark pulled off his shirt over his head and got onto the bed. He looked down at Lana who was smiling. She leaned in and kissed him running her hands over Clark’s back. Clark kissed her lips, down to her neck and the only area near her chest that was covered by her shirt. Lana turned both of them so that she was now on top and kissed Clark’s neck. Clark pulled Lana’s shirt off revealing a red push up bra.

“Red? It’s very sexy.” Clark whispered in Lana’s ear.

“Shut up and kiss me, Clark Kent.”

Clark kissed Lana. Lana straddled Clark’s waist again breaking from the kiss. She reached down and undid the belt around Clark’s waist. Clark looked down at Lana while she was doing this. After pulling the belt off and throwing it across the room, she tried to undo the button on his jeans but couldn’t quite grasp it.

“Do you want me to help you with that?” Clark asked.

“Can you please?”

“Sure.”

Lana got off of Clark and sat beside him as she watched him undo the button, the zipper and then the pants were on the floor along with two shirts and a belt.

“Do you want to take off your own pants or would you like me to do it?” Clark asked.

“You can do it since you are so good at it.” Lana said with a mischievous grin.

“I knew it, you just want to get me in your pants.”

“Clark.”

“I was just kidding. Sort of.”

Clark moved closer to Lana and removed her pants revealing underwear matching her bra. Tonight was a wonderful night for both Clark and Lana because tonight was the night that they fell more in love with each other.

Chapter 13:

The sun hit the window above Clark’s bed. Clark turned from facing the ceiling to facing the woman next to him. The sheets only barely covering both of their bodies. Clark smiled at the thought that Lana Lang, the woman he loved, loves and will love, was lying in his bed with him. He didn’t dare get out of bed. He wanted to be the first person she saw that morning. Lana turned from facing the wall to facing Clark who was smiling at her. She hadn’t opened her eyes but she knew that he was there looking at her. Lana snuggled closer to him putting her head on his chest with her arm around his body. Clark wrapped his arms around her and kissed her head. They stayed like this until Lana opened her eyes. She smiled because she remembered the words that Clark spoke to her yesterday. He said that he loved her. He said that he always loved her. Lana lifted her head and looked into Clark’s eyes. She planted a small kiss on his lips before speaking.

“Good morning.” Lana whispered.

“Good morning to you too.”

“How did you sleep?”

“Good and you?”

“Perfect.”

“That’s good.” Clark said.

Lana put her head back onto Clark’s chest.

“What do you want to do today?” Clark asked.

“I don’t know. What do you want to do today?”

“I don’t care. As long as I am with you, I am happy.”


Chapter 14:

Four years. That is how long Clark Kent and Lana Lang lasted. It was a wonderful four years filled with romance and love. At the beginning of their sophomore year in college, they had moved in with each other. Chloe had moved to Lois’ apartment and Lana moved into Clark’s dorm. Lana had her own room to sleep in but most nights were spent with Clark in his room. They were inseparable. Lana had seen all of Clark’s football games and Clark had seen all the designs that Lana made for her fashion classes. Clark was offered a job working as a journalist for the Daily Planet but he didn’t take it. He was also offered a job as a journalist for the New York Times and took that. Lana was offered a job working for a designer in New York and took it. Clark and Lana were all packed ready to leave for New York next week. One week ago, Clark and Lana both graduated from college. They were both extremely happy to start in the “real world” but also extremely sad to be leaving Kansas, their friends and their families. The Clark Kent and Lana Lang relationship had ended but the Clark Kent and Lana Kent relationship was just starting. Clark had proposed one year ago today. One day out of the blue, Clark walked into Lana’s room, where Lana was studying, and got down on one knee asking Lana to be his wife. Lana, of course, said yes. When their friends and families heard about it, they were excited, along with everyone else they knew. The girls in room 15 finally got their own boyfriends and the football team was sad to see the Lana was officially off the market. The day that Lana found out that she had a job offer in New York, she immediately told Clark that she didn’t have to take it. If he wanted to stay in Kansas to be close to his parents, he could and she would stay. Clark told her that it wasn’t a choice. Her dream was to work in New York one day and one day become a successful fashion designer and she was going to do it. Clark later found out that he also had a job offer in New York working for the New York times so he spoke with Lana and they decided that after the wedding and graduation, they would move to New York to start a new life. Martha and Jonathan Kent along with Chloe Sullivan, Lois Lane and Lex Luthor were sad to see both of them go but they knew that they would still see each other for holidays and special occasions. Lex offered to let Clark and Lana use one of his planes whenever they wanted so they didn’t have to pay for airline tickets when they felt like coming home for the weekend. He also said that Martha and Jonathan could use it whenever they wanted to. All four of them accepted Lex’s offer and were now less saddened thinking that whenever they wanted, they could just go home. Today was the day. Today was the day that Clark Kent and Lana Lang were getting married. They day had been set when they first started planning. Lana secretly marked the days off of her calendar that she kept behind her door. Clark, too, marked the days off of his calendar and each morning that they saw each other, they would say “one hundred more days.” That soon turned into fifty more days and then twenty-five and now it was none. The plan was to have the ceremony in the church in Smallville with the reception held in Lex’s mansion. Lana had butterflies in her stomach as she stood in front of the mirror with Chloe and Martha fixing her dress, her hair and her makeup to make sure that everything was perfect. She was in the bride’s room in the back of the church while Clark was standing by the alter waiting patiently for Lana.

“I think that you are all done, Lana.” Chloe announced as she stood back to see how she looked.

“Really? Are you sure because I have to look perfect.” Lana said turning around to see herself from every angle.

“Lana, take it from me, a woman who has already gotten married. The day I married Jonathan, I was a nervous wreck. I thought that my hair could be better or that my dress should look differently but it couldn’t. You look wonderful. Your hair is perfect, your dress is beautiful and you couldn’t look better.” Martha said to her soon to be daughter-in-law.

“Thank you but do you think that Clark will like it?” Lana asked looking at Martha.

“Clark will love you no matter what you are wearing. I am sure that he will love it.” Martha replied.

“Lana, you don’t have anything to worry about.” Chloe added.

“Now, Lana, are you ready?” Martha asked.

“As ready as I will ever be.” Lana said.

“Good, I am going to go out there and tell them to start. Chloe you need to get out there and I will tell Jonathan to come back here so he can walk you down the aisle.” Martha told both of the girls.

“Thank you Mrs. Kent.” Lana said.

“Lana, you are marrying my son. Call me Martha or mom.”

“Ok, mom.” Lana said with a smile.

Martha walked out of the room and into the main part of the church. She didn’t walk on the actual aisle wanting only Lana to walk there but around the right side of the church where she met up with Jonathan, Lex and Clark.

“Jonathan and Lex, you need to get back there.” Martha said.

Both Jonathan and Lex got up and walked towards the back leaving Clark with his mother.

“Clark, I am so proud of you. I want you to know that.” Martha said.

“I know mom. I am just so nervous.”

“Why would you be nervous? Lana is in love with you and you are in love with her. You have been dating her for four years and now you are getting married. You shouldn’t be nervous.”

“Thanks mom.”

“Now, I am going to take my seat. Remember to smile.”

“I know. Thanks again.”

Martha took her seat just as the music started to play. The two big doors opened letting Chloe, the maid of honor, and Lex, the best man, walk down the aisle. Lana holding onto Jonathan’s arm soon followed them. She wanted him to walk her down the aisle since he was like the father she always wanted but never had. He didn’t even have to think about his answer and was already by her side. In Clark’s mind, he thought that Lana was the most beautiful women. She walked at a slow pace not wanting to trip over her dress or seem in too much of a hurry to marry the man that she wanted to marry since she was young. When she got to the front of the aisle, Jonathan faced her. He lifted the veil and kissed her cheek before grabbing Clark’s hand and placing it with Lana’s. Jonathan sat down next to his wife as Clark and Lana turned to face the priest.

Chapter 15:

“Lana Lang, do you take Clark Kent to be your husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part?” The priest asked.

“I do.” Lana said slipping the wedding band onto Clark’s ring finger.

“And do you Clark Kent take Lana Lang to be your wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part?” The priest asked once more.

“I do.” Clark said slipping a matching wedding band onto Lana’s ring finger.

“By the power vested in me in the state of Kansas, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Clark, you may now kiss your bride.”

Clark quickly leaned forward and kissed his new wife. Once they were all kissed out, the priest spoke once more.

“I would like to present to you, the new Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kent.”

Everyone in the church stood. They were clapping, smiling and even crying as the happy newlyweds walked down the aisle hand in hand. Clark and Lana slipped into a limo before anyone got out of the church. The driver started to drive away from the church just as their guests started to leave. Everyone got into their cars with the exception of Martha, Jonathan, Chloe and Lex getting into another limo. Inside the newlyweds’ limo, Clark and Lana couldn’t stop smiling.

“I can’t believe that we are married.” Lana said hugging Clark as hard as she could.

“Lana, if you want me to be alive for the reception, you might want to let go just a little.” Clark said.

“I’m sorry. I am just so excited.”

“So am I, so am I.”


Chapter 16:

Everyone was seated at their tables, patiently waiting for the bride and groom to arrive. At the head of the room, sat Martha and Jonathan Kent alongside Lex Luthor and Chloe Sullivan. They too waited patiently. The wedding planner that Lex hired to help Lana with her planning walked across the room towards Lex whispering in his ear.

“They’re here.” She said before he nodded.

Lex stood up and grabbed the microphone from the stand near the table and spoke.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kent.”

Everyone stood up as the doors at the back of the room opened. Clark and Lana walked into a room filled with their family and friends. They smiled as they crossed the dance floor to the table that they were to be seated at. With their guests still clapping, Clark hugged both of his parents followed by Lana. He then shook hands with Lex and hugged Chloe with Lana not far behind. They were all glad to see each other. Clark and Lana Kent sat in the middle of the table. The reception went well, they greeted everyone with everyone telling them congratulations. As the party went on, it was time for Lex to make his best man speech. He stood up and grabbed the microphone once more.

“If I can have everyone’s attention, please, I would like to make my speech.” Lex started.

Everyone took their seats at their respective tables and sat quietly.

“Thank you. I've been looking through every book from Socrates to Shakespeare, trying to find someone who could put into words the way Clark and Lana feel about each other. But what I realized is, there are no words for it. And when you have it you trust it, and you believe in it. Take a chance on it. And you're willing to sacrifice anything to keep it no matter what the cost.”

Lex raised his glass.

“To Clark and Lana.”

“To Clark and Lana.” Everyone repeated.

Clark stood up and hugged Lex.

“Thanks Lex.” Clark said.

“Your welcome, Clark.” Lex said.

Lana stood up as well as hugged Lex saying her thank you.

“Now ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome the happy newlyweds onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.” The DJ announced.

Everyone started to clap as Clark and Lana walked hand in hand towards the dance floor. ‘Forever Love’ by Anna Nalick began to play. Clark and Lana began to dance as everything but the music and their racing heartbeats went silent. Clark and Lana just smiled at each other. They didn’t need to speak with words or actions because they both knew what was going through their minds. Martha looked at her husband as he reached and held her hand.

“I can’t believe it Jonathan, our little boy is married.” Martha said as she began to tear up.

“I know, Martha. I know.”

Martha and Jonathan continued to watch just as everyone else was.

“I would now like to welcome Martha and Jonathan Kent, Clark’s parents, to join them.” The DJ said on the microphone.

“Martha, can I have this dance?” Jonathan asked.

“Of course.” Martha said as she grabbed her husband’s hand.

They both walked onto the dance floor and joined Clark and Lana. Clark and Lana smiled as they started to dance. Four Kents were on the dance floor. All four were happy. All four were excited about the days to come.
