Queen, The Beatles, The Doors, The Police, Guns and Roses, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Weezer, Grateful Dead, ACDC, Creedance Clearwater Revival, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Yes, Steve Miller Band, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer.
And I listen to any blues or jazz.

I like the Doors and Eric Clapton too.
DarkseidX
07-25-2005, 03:33 PM
There's nothing like the Doors, and Eric Clapton's music is so original that's why I love his music.
I should give credit to Cream and Derek and the Dominos who accompanied him.
VersesBatman
07-25-2005, 03:36 PM
I love those groups! Which do you like better, the original Layla or the acoustic version?
DarkseidX
07-25-2005, 03:39 PM
It's a different feel you know. In the acoustic version, the second part is just part of the first.
But I'd have to say I like the sound of the clear and beautiful acoustic version.
VersesBatman

So do I. It sounds very sincere.
Did you know the woman he sang about was George Harrison's wife?
DarkseidX
07-25-2005, 03:42 PM
If you've heard the song Badge, you'd know they kinda made a trade.
Clapton got to keep Badge and Harrison got to keep Layla.
Layla=Harrison's Wife
Badge=Clapton's Wife
VersesBatman

It was the weirdest love triangle. Eric has an affair with Patti Boyd, but George still remained his best friend until the end.
He said 'If she has to have an affair, it best she do it with the guy I love."

I used to listen to a massive amount of music up until I had a baby (who's now about 18 months old). I wouldn't really say I have an eclectic taste, it seems to be interconnected: I love anything that goe against the grain (from Noise to Punk and some No Wave) but I also like Pop (YAY for Madonna and *NSync et al), Soft/70s Rock (Fleetwood Mac, hence my nickname), Singer Songwriters (Carole King, Joni M et al)... I also love Indie Rock and have interviewed quite a few bands (Modest Mouse, Cat Power, Bettie Serveert and Dead Man Ray being the favourite bands that I interviewed but there's a whole slew of others that I forgot). So ys, I used to write about music but I more or less quit. I regret it sometimes but I just don't have the time nor energy anymore. And maybe I realized that most people who write about music were/are better than I am/was. Talking about music writers: give it up for Lester Bangs and Richard Meltzer. :-)

mainly Christian rock...95% of my iPod consists of that. I also like soft rock, life Lifehouse and "Iris" by the GooGoo dolls. and a few "popular" songs: "Paralyzer"-Finger Eleven, "Never Too Late"-Three Days Grace. I can't stand rap or oldies and i TOLERATE country in small doses.

I listen to 80's pop and 80's metal, well just pretty much anything 80's is what i listen to, as well as some good 'ol 90's music as well! I can never really get into the newer 2000's stuff to be honest.

I usually like all kinds of music, even country (somewhat), but my favourite is kanye west, he may be cocky but he has actually has good beats, minus most of his "auto-tuning" singing
