To this day, I can't stand any clown dolls or clowns period after seeing Poltergeist. Also the scene where the tree tries to eat the boy and when the guy tears off his face.

I must agree. I didn't even see the movie but you'd think from all the hype it's gotten it's the next Ben-Hur. And for goodness sakes people, stop with the irritating quotes!

The very last scene of Psycho left me haunted. When I learned it was loosely based ona real serial killer, it really gave me the creeps.

smallvillefanforlife

The real serial killer Ed Gein, inspired many scary movies. Psycho, TCM and Silence of the Lambs.

There is going to be another, but I dont if SMG is going to be in it. She looked like a goner in the end. She has three movies already planned to be filmed, and none of them are The Grudge 2.

Ooo...Silence of the Lambs is a good one VB.

The stuff that happens in those movies don't happen in real life that often. The media just want you to think that.

Buffulo Bill was based on both Gein and Ted Bundy.

Never know. Ju-On is based around flashbacks, so she could make a cameo as a flashback. She said she would love to work with the director again, and go back to visit Japan again. Never know.

The Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorite movies but when I first watched it I was a bit traumatized. And the sequel Hannibal where he eats the guys brains while he is still alive. That was rather traumatizing.

The Ring scared me the most though. That movie scared me to death.

Oh, yes, and Ringu 2 is far better than the American adaptation IMO.

If you watch Ju-On there is really no difference. There is some difference, but nothing big compared when compared to the American adaptation of The Grudge because they used the same Japanese director who created The Grudge/Ju-On.

Oh, I know one The Shining "here's Johnny"

The Gate.... I have a moth phobia thanks to that film. It was about a gateway to hell that was under a tree in someone's back garden.

I went to a sleepover party when I was a kid, everyone else there thought it would be a great film to watch, so I was out voted. I didn't sleep for the next 3 days and I'd never advise anyone to watch it ever!!

Also Jaws scared me and I had nightmares that when I woke up, sharks were swimming around my bed and I won't go swimming in the sea when I go on holiday, I stick to paddling in water no deeper than my ankles.

Films, don't really scare me as such...

I usually watch horror movies alone, and i'm not scared when watching them - but... due to the fact that I watch them alone... Usually in the middle of the night, with the lights off etc. When the films over, I have to start going about ... no light etc, and i think to myself... "why the hell did i sit here and watch that alone, with the lights off?"
