View Full Version : Quick question about post count...

First: I was just curious to see how many posts I had, so I looked at my profile (9662). For some-odd reason I then clicked on 'Search for all posts by this user.' When the search was complete and the results were displayed it said 'Displaying Topics 1 to 25 of 9197'.
Is the [large] difference between the posts the search found and the [small] amount of posts I've [supposedly] made due to archiving certain threads that I posted in, threads that are no longer on the boards? And does anyone else have this 'problem'?

Thanks Mark, thanks. You've successfully and correctly answered my question.
I don't even know what my post count is right now. I don't look at it often. :p

I've referred one person, and no, you don't get extra posts for referring people. It just shows up in your profile that you've referred someone. :)

Wow, is your post count really just 9999 or have you maxed out? Can you max out? Does it reset to zero? Keep going?
I'm suddenly very fascinated.

It doesn't max out. Look, I'm over 12,500 .
She just lost posts because of threads that were deleted with her posts in it.

Yeah, I had almost 13,000 before something happened and about 4,000 of my posts were deleted. I made it back up to 9,999 and left for a month because I didn't feel like coming here.
