Title: Are You Who You Want to Be?

Rating:PG-13 it could be PG but I'm not sure so...
Summary: An old nice but naughty friend shows up in Smallville and finds out about Clark's gifts and weaknesses. After slipping him some Red K he convinces him to tell Lana his secret and head to the city to "tear it up" with him.
This is only my second fan fic and I didn't finish the first one so please be nice even if you don't like it.

Chapter 1

Clark packed up his things as the bell rang indicating the end of class. As he exited the doors of the Agriculture building at Kansas Central, he couldn't help but be happy. He was just so relived that everything that happened from graduation throughout the summer was over with and he was getting a good education and was able to help his parents out on the farm. He even decided that he would not think about what happened during the summer and move forward with his life.
"Did you just win the jackpot?" said Lana enthusiasticly noticing his smile as she walked up to him and softly kissed him.
"No, I was just smiling at the thought of how beautiful you are," Clark replied stroking her hair.
Best of all, he had Lana to move forward with him. Could life get any better?
"Well Mr. Flirtatious, why don't you give me a ride home in your beautiful truck," she said putting a special emphasis on the word "beautiful." "I need to get my homework done."
"Come by the loft and and do it while I do mine. I could sure use the company and help. And I'm pretty sure you know a bit more about farming than Shelby does." They both laughed.

Clark had finished most of his homework on journalism but was having some difficulty with his paper on fertilizing soil. He had read about half a dozen texts specifically on fertilizing soil and still didn't think anything was adequate enough to write in his paper.
Lana had already finished her homework and was buried in a book on the couch. After hearing Clark scratch out a sentence for the umpteenth time she asked, "Do you need help, Clark?"
"No I think I'm just going to work on this later," he said in fruatration knowing that he would later regret procrastinating. " What do you want to do?"
"Well since you managed to get all your chores done in less than 8 minutes, another mystery of Clark Kent, we could go outside and enjoy the nice weather," replied Lana.
As they walked out of the loft Clark thought about the comment Lana made about him being a mystery. Though he was used to this, he felt bad about not yet telling Lana his seceret but thought it was for the best. He wanted them to settle into their reletionship before he said anything about his abilities and origin. He also knew Lana understood. For once she was not lecturing him about secrects and lies. And Clark had a feeling it was because she now had a secret of her own and was not ready to tell him.
"I was thinking we could go to the windmill and watch the sunset. I know we usually watch it from the loft but I thought we could go there for a change," Lana was nervous about hurting Clarks delicate feelings, " Not that I don't like the view from the loft, I just thought it would be nice."
"Don't worry Lana I'm not offended. Sure we can go to the wind- mill."

Even though they weren't at the loft, watching the sunset with Lana was the happiest Clark felt in a long time. It brought him a feeling of warmth that he felt with no one else and he knew Lana had a similar feeling. Her face had that glow that it alwas had particularly when she was with Clark and the golden sunlight on her face also increased this glow
As they headed back to the Kent farm in the truck they listened to the song "This is Your Life" by Switchfoot and both silently thought it discribed their lives exactly. The song ended just as they pulled into the Kents dirt driveway. " I like this album Clark. Where did you get it?" asked Lana stepping out of the truck.
"Bullmoose Music in Grandville," Clark answered as he too got out of the truck, " but you con have it."
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely!" he handed it to her smiling. " I love that CD too but I love you more."
Lana smiled back. They were in the loft noe and the minute they sat down on the couch Clark pulled Lana into a deep lip-lock.She kissed him back with as much enthusiasm. They stayed like this for about fifteen minutes until a male voice said, " You know, Clark, her chin doesn't have to be sore and face red before you take a breath."

Well that's chapter 1 tell me what you think and if you think I should continue.

Chapter 2

"Bart?"
"Hey, man! What's up?" said bart walking up to Clark, slapping his hand, and giving him a one- armed hug.
"Not much. Lana this is Bart Allen. Bart this is Lana Lang, my girlfriend."
"Oh yeah. I remember the last time I was here you had her name scribbled all over your notebooks," giggled Bart causing Clark to turn a deep red.
Lana and Bart laughed hysterically.
"So Bart, where did you come from?" asked Lana after she had overcome her laughing fit.
" I grew up in Michigan but have been traveling all over the world since I was 14."
"Wow, where have you visited?"
"Oh, about every country in Asia, North America, and Central America. I've also been to Madagascar, Austrailia, South Africa, Egypt, the UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Jerusalem," recited Bart off the top of his head. "Not that I'm religious or anything, I just like historical places like that."
"I kind a' know what you mean," said Lana, " The summer before this past one I was in Paris and it was pretty nice."
"If you liked it that much why didn't you stay?" asked Bart curiously.
Lana paused before answering this question. Just thinking about why she left Paris brought out memories she had been trying to bury all summer. These memories included the death of her ex boyfriend Jason, the feeling of guilt she had about being apart of his mother murder, the meteor shower during graduation that brought out even worse memories, and the feeling of Isobel Theroux's evil that lingered with her all of last year.
"Umm I- I just relized that Paris wasn't for me," said Lana looking at her feet.
"That's strange. I've also been to Paris and thought it was awsome," said Bart in a matter- of- fact tone.
Lana didn't reply, but gave Bart a fake smile and looked back down at her feet. To brake the uncomfortable silence Clark said," Does anyone want anything to eat or drink?"

Bart had been staying at the Kents for about four days now and him and Clark both enjoyed themselves. They did chores with eachother at superspeed and raced each other all around Kansas occassionally going all the way to Colorado or Missouri. Bart would usually spend half his day flirting with a cute girl while Clark tagged along. Sometimes a girl would try to flirt with Clark but when he showed no interested they always went on to Bart who showed himself off proudly.
When Clark was in class Bart tried to get to know Smallville better. His superspeed always helped him avoid police who would wonder why he wasn't in school. But sometimes when he wasn't paying attention he got unlucky and had to give a fake but really good explanation as to why he wasn't in school. During the nights Clark and Bart would spend about four to five hours talking about anything they wanted from football,to girls (Lana especially) to Shelby.
One particular night after the boys had changed into their pajamas and layed down, Bart said,"So, you never got to telling me how you got your power."
"I told you I've had them since I was born and don't know where they came from," said Clark shifting uncomfortably in his bed so he couldn't face the curious Bart lying in the sleeping bag on the floor.
"Clark, anyone can tell when you're lying," stated Bart. " And everyone can tell that you're hiding a big secret."
Clark still didn't say anything so Bart continued," Clark I know in the past I haven't always been the best kid. But I'm your friend and will always be there for you and-"
"Bart it's not about you. My secrets dangerous. I haven't even told Lana yet. One of my friends had to move away because it was putting to much pressure on him and the FBI was harassing him. I'm not going to put that pressure on anyone else!"
Bart didn't know wat to say at first he just pondered what Clark said for a moment them said," Well it won't be that easy for the FBI to track me down if you know what I mean. And even though I think it is important for Lana to know first I think you should tell me just to see how I'll react. Then judging by how I reacted decide if Lana should know or not."
It surprised Clark how smart Bart's suggestion was but he wasn't going to let some seventeen- year- old boy's statement let his secret hurt the girl he'd loved for thirteen years. But the more he thought about it the more confident he felt about it working. It was like two sides of him were fighting on whether to follow through with this or not. But in the end one side won.
"Bart the only reason I'm doig this is that I love Lana more than anything and don't want to keep secrets from her any longer," said Clark making sure Bart understood his intentions.
" I'm ready,man," Bart said smiling at Clark almost encouragingly.
"I'll start with the biggest part then move on to the less freaky things," Clark took a deep breath." I'm not exactly from around here........."

There isn't much Clana in this chapter but I promise you will see Clana and Red K Clark in the next chapter.

Chapter 3

It had been 3 weeks since Bart had told Clark his secret and all had been okay. So far...

At first Bart thought Clark was joking about being an alien and when Clark manifested that he was being serious Bart was a little freaked. He was a bit distant at first but soon realized that Clark acted more human than almost anyone he knew and his abilities were actually pretty cool. Soon he was back to being Bart. That same concieted, immature, extrovert that Clark so loved to be around.

"So when are your parents coming back from Metropolis?" asked Bart one morning as he and Clark devoured breakfast.

"Not sure. They will probably have to go back a week after they come home anyways," said Clark in between bites of waffles. "The doctors say they're lucky. The injuries from the meteor shower could have been fatal."

"Well, I'm glad they're ok," said Bart through a muffled voice. He quickly changed the subject. "So who eles knows your secret?"

"My two friends Pete and Chloe. Like I told you, Pete moved away because of the pressure. Chloe found out last winter but is in Metropolis for the rest of the year."

"Chloe? I remember her. What a babe," Bart said mostly to himself. Clark rolled his eyes and turned his attention back on the last of his breakfast. "How did she find out?" Bart continued.

"I- I don't really want to talk about it," Clark said quietly. He had suddenly lost his appetite. Even though Alicia wasn't his true love, a part of him had loved her deeply and it hurt him that she had betrayed him. Yet she had only wanted to help him and herself and was killed in the process. All these thoughts raced through Clark's head and he had that feeling once again like two sides of him were pushing him to believe what they were saying.

Bart noticed that Clark was in a vehement state of thought and did not want to disturb him. So he just stared at him stolidly.

"Do you plan on telling Lana your secret," Bart asked out of the blue while he and Clark walked out of the Flagship Cineamas in Grandville.

"I'm not sure," replied Clark bluntly knowing that he didn't plan on telling Lana at all.

"Look, man, if you guys want to be completely happy together you're going to have to be honest with eachother," said Bart in a very Lana like way as they crossed the street. He stopped in front of a window outside of Starbucks Coffee,"You're going to have to tell her sooner or later. You can't keep it a secret forever. Besides, I didn't take it too badly."

"You and Lana are on opposite ends of the human race, Bart. And her and I have a lot of history that you don't know about. I'm not going to tell her right now. I can't bear to hurt her more than I already have," said Clark with finality as he passed Starbucks and continued down the street.

"Okay, suppose it does hurt her. The time you take before you tell her, is how much more it'll hurt whem you do decide to tell her," Bart said before speeding off to the Kent farm. Clark made sure no one was watching then headed after him.

Bart didn't talk to Clark about Lana at all after their conversation in front of Starbucks, but he knew Lana was always on Clarks mind. Instead he got to know more about Clark's abilities and the effects the different types of meteor rocks had on him. Clark told him about how they found out about each one and what they did to him. It was then that an idea came into Barts mind.

When Clark went to class on Monday morning, Bart sped off to the west side of Hobbs Pond. 'Clark said this is where they were first found,' said Bart to himself,'There must be still some here.' He searched the grass around the pond and the shallow clear water in it. Then he saw it. The deep red ruby like rock no bigger than a quarter was just sitting there glistening in the water. It was small but enough for what he neede to do. 'I only need it for a couple hours. I can't do that much harm,' thought Bart to himself. Or could it.....

I'm sorry I didn't reply this morning but we forgot to fill out my camp papers and there was a lot of confusion. I'm starting sports camp tommorow so my updates will probably be frequent but short. Well enough talk here's the next update.

Chapter 4

"Touchdoooooowwwwwwnnnnn!!!" Lana rooled her eyes as Clark and Bart screamed at the T.V. They were watching a Sharks game on T.V. and the Sharks had just scored for the third time in a row. Clark rushed across the room over to Lana, lifted her out of the seat she was sitting in, held her close, and kissed her (for the third time).

Lana could care less. She didn't mind if Clark kissed her a hundred times. All of Clark's kisses were long, deep, passionate, and the best Lana could have. But unlike Clark, Lana was only human. She pulled back to take a breath and noticed that Clark had ripped the knee of his sweat pants. 'It must have been when he was doing chores' thought Lana. She then commented on it which made Clark blush. ' He gets embarrased over the smallest things' Lana laughed as she thought this to herself.

"Bart, could you go upstairs and get me a pair of pants? I've got some important stuff to do down here," he said playfully, looking back at Lana.

It was Barts turn to roll his eyes. He walked past a lip locked Clark and Lana saying," You better not change in front of us," then continued upstairs. He usually would tell Clark to do it himself but thouught this was his chance to make Clark a bit happier so he willingly obeyed. As he entered Clark's room he took the Red K out of the left knee length pocket of his cargos and searched in Clark's bureau for a pair of sweats. He found what he ws looking for. A pair of athletes pants with the lining inside. Bart put the Red K in his hand on the bureau and turned the pant inside out. Then he ripped the lining about two centi- meters horizontally and slipped the Red K in sliding down to the bottom hem of Clarks pants and staying there.

Bart lucked out as he super sped down stairs and got a roll of tape. Fortunately Clark and Lana were still in there make out session showing no awareness of anything but each other. Bart smiled and sped back upstairs taping the part of Clarks pants that he ripped.

"Hey love birds, why don't you give it a rest?" Bart said throwing Clarks pants to him.

"Would you?"Clark chuckled as he finally let go of Lana and headed to the bathroom to change his pants. Bart sat down not answering. And Lana smiled sitting back down and fixing her hair.

Clark entered the bathroom almost ripping his pants off (he was eager to get back to football and More importantly Lana). He decided against it knowing that his mother would be able to sew them when she got back from Metropolis. He carefully but quickly took them off and slipped into the other ones. I happened then...

Alright here's the next update. I'm back to posting every day and everyother day. I hope you enjoy this chapter.;)

Chapter 5

Lana heard the bathroom door open behind her and saw clark exiting it with a semi-mischievous smile on his face which she rarely saw from Clark. But either way he still had that glint in his eye that made her melt within a millisecond and she just smiled back as he made his way back to the couch completely ignoring Barts statement of," It takes you long enough to change a pair of pants."

By this time Clark and Lana were already back in their tight lip lock. Bart told them that the Sharks game was back on but they didn't listen and he thought it would be best if Clark softened Lana up a bit before he dropped the bomb. So he did not repeat himself. Instead he turned back to the TV and watched as the Sharks scored their fourth field goal.

"So, how are the sharks doing?" asked Clark 45 minutes later finally looking away from Lana. But the only answer Clark got from Bart was a loud snore that caused Shelby to run into the room barking loudly. " Shut up!" yelled Clark causing Lana to jump and shelby to whine loudly as he walked slowly out of the room.

"Clark there was no need to scream like that," said Lana still a bit surprised.

"Lana he's just a dog. He'll get over it in three seconds." said Clark. Clark expected Lana to retort but instead she just looked at him almost apprehensively then turned to Bart who was now awake after all the barking and yelling. " How are the Sharks doing?" asked Clark once again looking at the TV.

Clark swore loudly as he watched two men in a boat cutting open a fish on TV. Lana at first thought it was because Clark was grossed out by the cutting of the fish but then realized it was because he had missed the game. " Clark is something bothering you?" asked Lana now pretty freaked out by Clarks unusual behavior.

"No I was just ticked that I missed the game, that's all. But it doesn't matter I was busy with someone more important than the whole Sharks team put together." Clark had that grin on his face again as if he was about to do something naughty.

Lana, now officially freaked got up off the couch quickly and without a word grabbed Clark's hand and started to lead him through the house and out the door. Clark somehow knew that she was about to have a big discussion with him about telling the truth then ask him what was really going on. The truth was Clark did not know. He just suddenly had a feeling of freedom that he was really enjoying.

As they made their way to the barn Clark planned in his head what he was going to say to Lana but his thoughts were interuppted when he heard Bart whisper with his super hearing. "Clark now is your chance. Tell her.... everything."

Sorry I haven't replied for a while. I have some work (pretty much reading) to do before I start school but I'm squeezing in time to write this fic. Here's the next update.;)

Chapter 6

Clark and Lana reached the barn and ascended the stairs to the loft were the evening breeze was blowing softly with an almost alluring feel to it. Lana stared into Clark's tranquil, sea-colored eyes as she tried to search for some kind of answer which she had done for the past four years. Though he had that attractive but unfamiliar look in his eye she still melted under his gaze. And after seeing his untidy hair become even more wild due to the soft flow of wind coming from the window, went on to evaporate like a snowman sitting on asphalt on a 100 degree day.

" Listen, Clark. I know that I've said this about a million times, but we're together now and I think it's really important that we take it seriously-," Lana paused and looked at Clark almost expecting him to cut her off. He didn't say anything but Lana could tell that she didn't have his undivided attention since he seemed to have developed a provocative interest in the area six inches below her face.

" Uhh- Clark? Are you alright?" asked Lana half disturbed half annoyed that Clark was not taking her seriously.

" With you here, baby, never better," Clark grinned. He scooped Lana into his arms and started kissing her intensely.

He's more obbsessed with intimacy than 50 Cent. Lana didn't know whether to be flattered by Clark's comment or officially freaked by his unclarkish behavior. The latter was victorious. Pushing Clark back, after much effort, and taking a quick breath Lana said forcefully," Clark I'm being serious. We need to be honest with eachother. Now tell me what's causing this change in your personality."

" My personality has not changed. This is just the more outgoing side of me," said Clark.

"Umm... okay," said Lana deciding there was no need to give Clark another lecture about secrets and lies. " Lets just try talking with eachother more often."

"There's a lot of time for that," said Clark wrapping his hands around Lana's waist. "But right now I think we should take advantage of the time we have before my parents get home."

Lana once again caught a glimpse of that sexy, bad boyish smile before he pulled her into yet another make out session.


Note: That's not the whole chapter but it's late and my mom is kicking me of the computer:mad: so I'll post again tommorow. Hope you enjoyed what I have though.:)

Chapter 6 continued

Bart stirred from his slumber at about 4:30 am to the ringing of the phone. Geez who the hell's calling at this time? he thought too tired to swear out loud. Getting up off the couch he walked across the room and reached for the telephone then decided against it. This person could call back later. There was no need to be making a phone call at four- thirty in the morning while people were still sleeping. He walked back across the room and fell on the couch shutting his eyes and going back to sleep.

Ring, ring, ring.

Bart rushed over to the phone, picked it up annoyed, and snapped,"What!?!"

"Clark, honey. Is that you?" said the sweet voice of Martha Kent.

"Oh-umm no," said Bart embarrassed by his rudeness." This is Bart Allen."

" Hi, Bart!" said Mrs. Kent in a delighted voice. " Wow, we haven't seen you for a while. How are you doing?"

"Fine," replied Bart. "Clark's sleeping I think but if you'd like to see him I could run to the loft and go get him."

" No, that's alright. Could you just tell him that his father and I are coming home tonight and that we can't wait to see him?"

" Sure Mrs. Kent."

" Aaaaaarrrrrrrrggggghhhh!" Bart screamed officially irked.

He took a deep breath pulling himself together, put the reciever to his ear, and spoke calmly into it," Hello?"

Lana awoke from her shallow sleep after hearing a beep from the digital clock on the small table next to the couch. She adjusted her eyes slightly, having opened them so quickly, and looked at the clock which read 5:00 am.

"Clark," she wispered pushing his crazy but attractive bangs out of his face and gently arousing him. " Clark, I should probably go back home. It's five in the morning."

Clark let out a partly exaggerated yawn and sat up saying," Why is there something you need to do? I thought you finished your homework yesterday."

"Well, I-," the truth was Lana didn't have anything to do back at the apartment in the Talon. She just thought the appropriate thing to do would be to go home and check on everything maybe freshen up before starting her day.

As if reading her thoughts Clark said," How 'bout you take a shower here and I'll run to your apartment and get you some clothes. When I get back I want to show you something."

"Umm, okay," said Lana deciding that there ws really no need to go home and she didn't want to pass up an oppurtunity to make Clark run around and get things for her.

"Alright I'm-," Clark was cut off by the sound of Bart appearing out of nowhere.

" Bart what's the-,"

" Lex Luthor just called!"


Note:There's something wrong with my computer and the stuff I put in Italics didn't come up where I wanted it too it just started coming up at the end of the update. Anyways I hope you enjoyed this update. ;)

Chapter 7

~June 6, 2005~
Lex Luthor watched an the Luthorcorp helicopter began ascending into the air, taking away the only person who knew the location of the one thing he had traveled half way across the world to get his hands on. Thoughts of their conversation earlier that day began to fill his mind and quickly infuriate him.

I believe the stone is still safe.

As safe as can be.

Well lets keep it that way. I'll put it in my vault.

Why?

A chopper's being fueled to evacuate you to Metropolis where you'll stay in a hotel until your lawyer arrives. It's probably best not to travel with the murder weapon.

I understand that, Lex. But I'd rather hold onto it.

Lana... That object is wat prosecuters wil refer to as the smoking gun. Now, I'll do anything I can to protect you including supporting any story of self defense you want to run with.

It's not a story, Lex. I would never murder somebody.

Of course not. Lana, I trust you... Now you need to trust me with that stone.

I'm sorry, Lex... But I just can't do that.

' Can't do that? Can't do that!?! After all I've done for her not including the past 2 days, she thinks she can't trust me? Damn!' Lex continued to fume as he stomped across the freshly cut green grass, into the Luthor Mansion and down the east hall.

' Well, I'll have it within a short time anyway,' Lex thought his temper wanning. Though, he was still very curious about where Lana put it or who she gave it to. If she couldn't trust him, then their were few others she could trust. Jason was dead and Chloe had no idea about the artifacts. Who would Lana trust completely to keep it safe? The thought came to Lex almost immediately. Clark...

Getting the stone from Clark would be a challenge. Especially since, as he understood it, Clark's trust in him was rapidly dissolving. But there was no need to think about Clark right then. He was about to get one of the artifacts in a matter of minutes. And even better get rid of the one person who had the power to take it away from him...



This isn't the end of the chapter. You probably know whats going to happen but it'll help you understand the story better if I write it down. I know the update was short but it is easier for me to split some of the chapters up.The next update will be two or three times longer.;)

Sorry it's taken a while to update. I think from now on I'm going to do 2 or three short updates a day. I'm not completely sure yet. I'm just seeing what works best for me.:)

Chapter 7 continued

Lex entered his office / library silently laughing at the sight infront of him. He had expected his visitor and was for the first time completely happy to see him.

The way Lionel Luthor sat contently in Lex's couch with his right leg resting on his left lap highly amused Lex. 'It's as if he thinks that I'm going to just hand him the stone and say, " Hear you go dad. You can have the thing I've spent one year searching for and finally have," ' Lex knew that thought his father was happy, he was in no mood for games. So he decided to play with him.

" What happened to your survival instincts, Dad?" Lex asked as his father took a sip from his glass of alcohol. " Fire and Brimstone are about to rain down from the sky and you're sipping cocktail like it's Sunday at the country club."

" I am aware of the imminent danger, Son. But I'm not about to leave without making sure my son is alright," said Lionel as he poured himself another glass of cocktail and sat back down.

Lex actually let out his amusment this time with a small but audible chuckle. " Come on who's kidding who? You're not about to leave without the element. I hate to disappoint you but I haven't seen Lana Lang," Lex lied. She's probably on the run half way to Costa Rica by now." Lex walked over to the couch across from his father and sat in it facing him.

" A face like Lana Lang's isn't easy to hide," Lionel stated. " It's just a matter of time before she gains the attention of some custom sufficient."

" Alright," Lex said, taking the next step in his plan. " Agree to leave her alone and I'll give you something you desperately need."


A/N: I know it was short but I'll have another update posted latest by 10:00 pm eastern time tonight. And please, I don't mind... No, I ENCOURAGE FEEDBACK. It'll probably make you enjoy the story more if I take advice from u guys. So please give all the feed back you want.;)

Chapter 7 continued

" I am a blessed man, Lex. I need very little in life," stated a proud Lionel with a hint of zeal.

" I wonder," Lex said flatly. " What good is a key if you don't know where the lock is?"

" Wise observation. Why do you think any of this applies to me?" asked Lionel annoyed at the fact that his son was a few steps ahead of him.

" You have one of the elements, Dad, which is clear. What you don't have," he said getting up, " is the knowledge of where it belongs." Lex walked to the center of the room. " I can help you. Take you there right now."

" I wish it were true, Lex, but I don't have the stone!" Lionel's aggrivation was growing. He walked to face his son trying to find the words that would turn the conversation in his favor. But he found nothing.

Lex looked deeply into the eyes of the man infront of him trying to find some kind of answer to... well, him. What was it that made Lionel Luthor the way he was. What was it that caused his unlimited lust for power? Like Lex, was it a result of what he had gone through during his childhood? Or was it, again like an experience Lex had, a failed relationship that he thought would have lasted a lifetime. Lex had gone through a myriad of possibilities, each as unlikely as the next, as to where his father's darkness originated but nothing ever hit him as a major possibility.As far as Lex knew his father was The Devil. Not like The Devil. The Devil.

If Lex couldn't see or understand something he would either do whatever was i his power to see or understand it, or he would decide that it didn't exist. In his mind his father was the closest thing to being the ultimate evil that anyone else and if the Devil did exist it had to be him in one form or another.

Though a part of Lex didn't want anything to do with his father he felt he had to find a way to understand him so he wouldn't become him... And so he could bring him down. Clark was right. The more Lex went at his father the more like him he became. But if he could find out what went on inside the head of Lionel Luthor he would know immediately how to bring him to his knees without casting a shadow on his own good side.

So Lex just continued to stare hoping that if he looked long enough into those deep brown eyes the answers he was looking for would embed themselves into his head as if he was repeatedly reading notes before a history exam. He stared and stared until he was ripped vigorously out of his thoughts.


A/N: I honestly don't know what color Lionel's eyes are but I think they're brown, so... I hope u enjoyed the update. There'll probably be another one later tonight. And please, don't forget to give feedback.;)

Alright you guys are in a clana mood. Here's some Clana:

Clark and Lana are sitting on a beach in southern California. It's late afternoon. The beach is completely empty. The start making out. The make out heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier and heavier. Now they're really hot. So they go swimming. And the waves are big. And the water's warm but not too warm to not cool them off. They get out of the water to go watch the sun set. When night comes the waves get bigger so they have to back up. But they're still on the beach. They kiss again passionately under the stars.

Oh yeah. And no matter how many super powers Clark has, he can't kiss as good as Lana.

Chapter 7 continued

Lionel jerked back and let out a scream as the jacket of his suit teared open liberating a flash of bright light that filled the center of the room and quickly extinguished as he fell to the floor and went into a violent siezure. Lex sqautted next to his fathers jerking body then carefully reached inside his inner jacket pocket only to be thrown acroos the room in yet another flash of light. He slammed into the wall and slid to the floor cursing.

The room around him began to fade and figures blurred. But Lex fought to keep consciousness. He took a breathe and struggled to his feet limping to his father's now still body. At the same time his security guard ran in.

"Mr. Luthor? What happened?"

Lex just starred at his father without speaking. Then without looking up said," Get J.D. and take my father upstairs."

"Mr. Luthor we're evacuating-"

"DO IT!"

The security guard ran out of the room obediently leaving Lex crouching on the floor starring at his father.

"Dad? Can you hear me?"

The beast in Lex was growing by the second. He had his father here completely helpless. Alive he was pretty sure. But helpless. He could leave him upstairs and in a matter of minutes have him out of his life forever. Leaving him to live his own life. And what better way to bring him down than leaving him to die. There was no more room for doubt the monster in Lex had grown to big and it's decision was final.


I'm sorry guys but my mom wants me to get off soon and I have to finish the fic I'm reading before I do my homework. Maybe I'll update a few paragraphs at school tommorow.;)

Chapter 7 continued

"Before you leave this earth I want you to know.............................
you did create the son you wanted." The two security people came immediately after Lex said these last words to his father. They picked him up, one man holding his legs and the other gripping his shoulders, and took him out of the room.

Lex only watched for a fraction of a second before turning his attention on the object infront of him. He craweled over to it watching it's surface glow blue as it let out a soft hum. Then suddenly the light went out leaving it sitting in the center of the room giving off a small wisp of smoke.

Lex smiled triumphantly as he grabbed the stone, hurried over to his safe, then took a small look at it before closing the safe and walking out of the room.



I know I know I know. I'm being really mean with the short short updates but I've been busy and don't have time to make long updates except n the weekend. I'll try to update in the morning eastern time.
