Chapter 4:

*The doctors office.*

"I hate being in this place, gives me bad memories." Clark said as he sits in a chair looking around nervously. They had arrived at the doctors early in the morning after scheduling an appointment the previous night.

*The doctor walks in.*

"Well Mrs. Kent, we have some news for you." Clark and Lana both stand, grasping each other's hand firmly. "What is it doctor? Lana asked causiously.

"You're going to have a little baby girl." The doctor said with a smile.

"OH MY GOD, that's great." Lana said while jumping into Clark's arms.

"It is great news doctor, but are you sure it's correct?" The doctor looked at Clark like he was crazy, "Off course Mr. Kent, we're doctors, we can't afford to make any mistakes like that."

Lana looked at Clark a little annoyed by him asking that question to the doctor. "Clark, what's wrong with you?"

He takes her hands, "Nothing is wrong with me, I just want to make sure he is right. I don't want both of us getting our hopes up over nothing, but if the doctor is correct than I am extremely happy." Lana smiles as he gives her a small kiss.

"Don't either of you worry, I've never been wrong before. Now go spread the word, i'm sure your friends and family will be so happy." Clark and Lana leave the office and go home.

"Well, I have to head to class. I'll see you later dad." Lana giggles at that part, as he scoops her up into his arms.

"You know, I don't think i told you today that I love you." He kisses her passionately. "I didn't tell you either Clark." She kisses him passionately. They finally break a part.

"See you later and I love you." Lana says while walking backward out the door.

"I love you too." Clark says smiling.

*The Daily Planet an hour later.*

"So Smallville, how's things with you and Lana?" Lois said noticing Clark had a huge smile on his face.

"Things are great, Lana is actully pregnant. We went to the doctors today to confirm it and he did. We're having a little baby girl."

Lois gave him a look, "That didn't take long, did it? Not like i'm surprised or anything."

*Chloe walks in.*

"What didn't take long?" Chloe asked curiously. "Clark and Lana are having a baby." Lois said and Chloe immediately turned to Clark with shock.

"Why so surprised cous? You know Clark and Lana can't keep their hands off each other. I'm surprised it took them this long to have a baby."

Chloe is now ignoring Lois, "You and Lana are having a baby Clark?"

"Didn't i just said that cous?" Chloe turns to Lois, "Me and Clark need to talk privately, so can you....." Lois nods and walks away.

Chloe waits until Lois is out of hearing distance, "Clark, I thought it wasn't possible for you two to have a baby. Which leads me to this question, how is Lana pregnant?"

"Your guess is as good as mine, because Jor-el said we couldn't have kids. It doesn't make any sense at all, but i'm not going to rock the boat. Lana is very happy and if she's happy, then so am I." Clark said trying to accept that as an answer to his own questions.

"It's okay Clark, I guess it is better to accept this as a devine miracle and move on. However, something doesn't seem right, I just hope i'm wrong."

Clark agreed, but didn't know what to do about it.

"So, did you tell your parents yet?"

"No, I'll call them when I get home. I'm sure they'll be very happy for us, seeing as how they never got a chance to have a their own child."

Chloe nodded and they got back to work.

Chapter 5:

*Clark's house, later that night.*

Clark picks up the phone and calls his parents.

"Hello, Kent residence." Martha said cheerfully, like she always does.

"Hi mom."

"Oh Clark, I haven't heard from you in a while. How is everything with you and Lana?"

"It's fine mom, we're having a baby." Clark said still trying to figure out how.

"That's great Clark, I'm so happy for you two. Is it a boy or girl?"

"It's a girl."

"I'm going to love having a granddaughter to play with it. Hey, let me get your father on here, he would love to hear the news." She puts down the phone and yells for Jonathon to come to the phone.

"Ok Clark, here's your dad, I love you."

"I love you too, Mom." Jonathon picks up the phone.

"Hey son, what's going on?"

"Lana and I are having a little baby girl, dad."

"That's amazing news son, your mother always wanted a little girl when we tried to have kids. Now she can a little granddaughter." Jonathon said happily.

"That's great dad....." Jonathon notices the tone of his voice.

"Why are you not as happy as you should be, son?"

"Well, because Jor-el said we couldn't have kids. He said he couldn't help us and it wasn't my decision to make." Clark said firmly.

Jonathon isn't sure how to respond to that, "I don't know what to tell you son, miracles happen. Maybe Jor-el was wrong and you can have kids."

"He's never been wrong before." Clark said quickly.

"If you want answers, you got to find them. I can't give them to you this time son. When something good like this comes your way, you just run with it. Okay?"

"Yeah, you're right, thanks dad. I love you."

"I love you too, say hi to as well as congradulations to Lana from me and your mom."

"I will, bye." He hangs up the phone as Lana walks in.

"Hey sweety." Clark said smiling.

"Hey handsome." They kiss.

"What's in the bag?" Lana is caring a bag with her.

"I bought a baby name book." Clark tried not to giggle as Lana said that. "What's so funny Clark?"

"Nothing." He takes the book out of the bag. "Hmm, let's see what we got here. Baylee, Dorothy, Bella..." Clark starts to laugh, "Are you sure this isn't a dog naming book?"

Lana looks at him with her mouth open and then hits him lightly. "Clark Kent, I'm surprised at you. How dare you make fun of those baby names. Now i just might not let you help me pick one."

"Come on, you know you'll let me. You can't resist the Kent charm." Lana and Clark share glances, then Clark raps his arms around Lana.

"Oh, I think it's you who can't resist the Lana charm." She escapes his grasps and looks seducetively at him. Then places his hand on her waist and kisses him passionately. They break for a second and Clark goes in for more, but Lana walks away.

"See, you're the one who can't resist me." She smiles at him and takes the book and looks through it as Clark stares on with amusement.

"Okay, I see we're playing hard ball here." Clark takes off his shirt and walks over to Lana. Lana is still looking into the book paying no attention to him. He then takes her hand and places it on his hard body.

"Oh my." She said and then he leaned in and kissed her passionately. He stopped for a second and she leaned in more, but this time he turned away.

"And Kent scores, the game is tied." Clark said with a big grin.

"You know Clark, it's been a long and exciting day. I think I need a shower." She takes off her clothes right in front of Clark as slow as she can. Then throws her last piece of clothing right onto Clark's head as he stares on with wide eyes and an open mouth. She then enters the bathroom, but sticks her head out before closing the door.

"Ballgame." She said with a huge grin, the shut the door.

"Ballgame? How does she figure that?" He looks down at his pants, "Oh, that's how." Clark blushes.

Chapter 6:

"Lana, don't you die on me." Lana laid in Clark's arms on her last breath.

"I'll never leave." Lana closed her eyes.

"Lana? LANA!" She now laid motionless in his arms. Clark started to cry, tears falling on Lana's face.

*Clark then woke up in a sweat.*

"LANA, LANA." Lana woke up startled and saw Clark drenched in sweat as well as fear.

"What's wrong? I'm right here." Lana grabbed his hand as he turned to her and held her tightly.

"You're okay?" Clark kept holding her not wanting to let her, thinking she might leave again.

"I'm fine Clark, it was just a bad nightmare." She pull his face up to hers, she saw the fear and sadness in his eyes.

"Just a nightmare? Yeah, just a nightmare, let's go back to sleep." He said forcing a smile on his face.

"Alright." They both laid back now, Clark rapped both his arms around Lana just to be safe and they fell back asleep.

*The Next day, Chloe and Lana are having lunch.*

"So Lana, want to let me in on your secret." Chloe said with a grin.

"What secret?" Lana asked curiously.

"On how you were able to have a baby, when Jor-el said it wasn't possible."

Lana wasn't sure how to answer, should she tell Chloe? No, she couldn't, at least not yet. "I don't know Chloe, miracles happen sometimes and this one of those times." Lana said while eating her food, not looking at Chloe directly.

"Then why can't you look me in the eye when you say that." Chloe said trying to gain Lana's complete attention.

Lana looked up at her, "Chloe it my business, not yours." Lana said sternly.

"Right, but is it Clark's business?" Chloe quickly responded.

"I thought we were here to talk about your wedding." Lana said changing the subject.

"We are." Chloe said going along with Lana's change of subject. "You are my head bridesmaid and we are flying to Gotham tomorrow to prepare for the wedding in three days."

Lana nodded, "Okay, just let me clear this with the school and i'll be ready to go."

"That's fine." Chloe said still stuck on their previous topic.

"I'll see you later Chlo, I need to get back to school." Lana gets up.

"Bye Lana."

"Bye." She leaves as Chloe sits there pondering.

*Chloe goes back to the Daily Planet.*

Clark is sitting at his desk, looking a little disturbed.

"What's wrong with you Clark?" Chloe said a little worried.

Clark looked up at her, "I had this dream that Lana died."

"Really? How?"

"I don't know, all i know is that she was in my arms and starting to black off. Then after she told me something, she died, right in my arms." Clark said feeling the affects of the dream.

"It was just a dream, why do you seem so upset about it?"

"I don't know Chloe, it just felt so real and usually when it does that, the dream is telling you something." Clark said fearing the worst.

Chloe nodded, "Well, you can't let a dream make you live in fear or dictate your life."

"I know Chloe, i'm just going to try and shake it off."

"Good and I already told Lana about my wedding plans, so everything should be a go." Chloe said cheerfully.

"That's great Chloe." Clark said smiling.

Chapter 7:

*Later in the night, Clark and Lana are getting ready for bed.*

"Are you packed Clark?"

"Yeah, what about you? Remember, we're only going for 3 days, you don't need to bring everything." Clark said grinning.

"Very funny, but why shouldn't I? You'd be able to carry it all, Superman." She said giggling.

"Wow, Lana Lang, abusing my powers, You are very evil aren't you?" He said while rapping his arms around her.

"Only when it comes to you and it's Lana Kent to you buddy." She smirked before kissing him and then her face turned serious. "Want to tell me what last night was about?"

Clark's smiled faded, "It was nothing, just a bad dream. No need to worry."

She leaned back to stare in his eyes, "It was more than, wasn't it?"

Clark looked away, "Let's say it was a very bad dream, it fulfill my worst fear."

"Which is?" She said curiously.

"Losing you." He said while stroking her hair.

She releases herself from his grip and places both of her hands on his hand. "No matter what happens, you will never lose me. Not even death itself can steal me from you." She said seriously, but smiled at the last part.

"I was hoping you'd say that." He said before kissing her passionately on the lips. "What do you say we get some sleep.

"Okay, we have a big day tomorrow." They each finish packing, prepare for bed and when they're done turn the light out, falling to sleep.

*Dream sequence.*

"Here vital signs are dropping, we're losing her." The doctor said looking at Lana laying on the hospital bed ad Clark stared in horror.

"Do something!" Clark said pleading to the doctor.

"We're doing everything we can, Mr. Kent. She's just not responding." The doctor said frantically looking around for assistance.

Clark takes Lana's hand, "Please stay with me, you can't die, because I love you."

The doctor glanced at Lana once again and then slowly took off his gloves. "She's gone."

"NO!" Clark picks up Lana into his arms. "Lana don't you die on me."

Lana's eyes flickered, as she tried to say one last thing. "I'll never leave."

"Lana? LANA!" Then she collasped in his arms.

*Clark then woke up in a sweat.*

"LANA! NO LANA!" Lana again woke up startled.

"What is it? I'm right here." She looked at him, he seemed he more disturbed than last time. "It's okay, I'm right here. She pulled him into her chest. "It was just a bad dream." she repeated over and over to him.

*The next day they board the plane a private plane to Gotham with Chloe and Lois.*

"How's the soon to be parents?" Lois asked cheerfully.

"We're fine." Lana said in a tiring voice. It was a long night for her and Clark.

"To be honest , it looks like the both of you could use some sleep." Lois said kind of concerned.

"Tell me about." Clark said annoyed.

"Well, staying in Bruce's Mansion should be fun, He's got a nice big room for you two." Chloe said happy to be going there.

"Yeah, but if we have to stay in the same house you two better keep the noise down." Lois said to Clark and Lana.

"You say that why Lois?" Clark said not in the mood for Lois's jokes.

"Come on, I know you two are like wild animals. You can't keep your hands off each other." Lois said as Chloe giggled and then slapped Lois playfully.

"Lois! That was mean."

"I was just saying that i'll know when i hear the loud noises coming from their room." Lois said with a grin.

"Thats enough Lois." Lana said glaring at Lois.

"Sorry, sometimes I talk too much." Lois said embarassed.

"You don't have to tell us." Clark, Lana and Chloe said at once, then all laughed.

"Very Funny." Lois said a small smile.

Chapter 8:

*Bruce's Mansion.*

"Nice to see you all." Bruce said with a smile.

"Hey honey." Chloe said and kissed Bruce lightly the lips.

"How are things Bruce?" Clark asked.

"Everything is great Clark, how about you and Lana?"

Clark puts his arm around Lana, "Everything with us is great."

"Good to know, now let me show you all to your rooms." They all walk upstairs and stop a certain room along the way. Then they stop at this big bedroom. "Clark and Lana, this is for you two."

"Wow, this is almost bigger than our house." Lana said shocked.

"I'll say, I especially like the bed." Clark said winking at Lana.

"On no, here they go, we'll be up all night feeling the walks shake because of these two." Lois sighed as everyone gave her a little glare. "That was the last one, i promise." They all smirked.

"Yeah right." They all said as Lois grew embarassed.

"Anyways, I'll let you two get settle and show Lois her room. Then maybe we me and Clark can talk alone." Bruce said changing the subject.

"Sounds like a plan Bruce." Clark smiled. Then Clark and Lana moved all their stuff into their new room.

"Do you think he would let us live here." Lana said jokingly.

"I don't think so dear, but we can always make the most of it while we're here." He wraps his hands around Lana's waist and kisses her tenderly.

"Mmmmm, I like the sound of that." Lana giggled.

"You'll the sound of it even better, when you realize we don't have anything to do during the next couple of hours." Clark raised his eyebrows.

"Getting frisky are we Mr. Kent." Lana grinned.

"I'm not old enough to be getting frisky, geez. You'll make me feel as old as my dad." Clark replied.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to kill the moment." Lana said.

"It's too late." Clark said turning his back to her.

"Oh, not even if I do this." Lana nibbled on his ear.

"Nope." Clark replied.

"Or this." She kissed his neck.

"Well, maybe that." He turned around and kissed her passionately, placing her on the bed and making love to her.


*Dream Sequence.*

"It wasn't your decision Kal-el." A voice said.

"If it involves her than it is my decision." Clark replied.

"No, my dear son, it isn't." The voice replied.

"How could you do this to her?" Clark said.

"I did nothing, it was a choice she made."

"I don't believe that, you have stopped her." Clark pleaded.

"I'm sorry my son, she knew the consequences of her actions. I told her." The voice said.

"You should have told me!" Clark yelled.

"It didn't concern you, it only concerned me and her."

*Scene shifts to the hospital bed.*

"I'm sorry Clark, it was my choice." Lana said with tears in her eyes.

"Why Lana? None of this makes his sense without you. My life doesn't make sense without you."

"I love you Clark, goodbye." Lana fades.

"LANA? LANA!" Clark yelled and then picked her up in his arms trying to wake her. "LANA!"

*Dream sequence over.*

Clark is stil screaming Lana's name as she awakes.

"Clark it's over, I'm here. Everything is going to be okay, I'm right here." Lana said trying to comfort him as well as herself, because she was now starting to worry. "I'll never leave, she said placing her hand on his and gripping his other hand with hers.

*Bruce's room.*

"What was that Chloe?" Bruce said in shock.

Chloe lowered her eyes, "Probably another Clark nightmare, he's been having them recently. I'm starting to worry." Chloe said shaking her head.

"Want me to talk to him, I mean we do have a lot in common. I might understand him." Bruce said trying to comfort Chloe.

She nodded her head, "That would be a great idea." They then kiss.

Chapter 9:

*Clark and Lana's room.*

"What are these dreams all about Clark?" Lana asked worried.

"I don't know exactly, but they all end with you dying. It's like a puzzle, I'm only getting pieces of it and i can't connect them. Although I made a big step last time." Clark said.

"What step was that? Did you find any new out?" Lana wondered.

"I was talking to someone and they telling me it was her decision? I'm not sure what that was all about or who I was talking to." Clark tried to explain.

"Oh, that's strange." Her eyes widened and turned away from him.

"Lana are you okay?" He asked taken off guard.

"I'm fine and happier than ever." She kissed him.

"Good, but I knew to figure out this puzzle. It's driving me insane." Clark said with his hands on his head.

"I'm sure you will." At that moment Bruce knocked on the door.

"Is everything okay in here?" I could hear screaming, i wasn't sure you guys were okay." Bruce said concerned.

"We're fine, didn't you say you wanted to talk to me?" Clark asked.

"I did and I do, so how about we go talk a walk?" Bruce asked.

"Let's go, Lana, I'll be back soon. Why don't you get some rest while i'm gone." He kissed her on the forehead.

"I'll try, see you two later." Lana said while falling back on the bed.

"Oh and Lana, I forgot to congradulate you on being pregnant. So congradulations." Bruce smiled at her before leaving.

*Bruce and Clark walk down into Bruce's office.*

"So Clark, want to tell me what's going on?" Bruce questioned.

Clark smiled and said, "Not really, but I know how persistent you can be, so I'll give in. Bruce grinned, then Clark began. "I've been having these dreams, actually nightmares where Lana dies. I don't know how or why, but recently I got some sort of clue."

"What clue was that?" Bruce asked.

"I was talking to someone, I don't know who or where and they were telling me that it was her decision. I have not a clue what they were speaking off." Clark said frustrated.

"Tell me Clark, did these dreams come before Lana was pregnant or after?

"After, why?" Clark asked not knowing what it had to do with anything.

"That might be your answer to the dreams. Maybe Lana did something to make her have kids and is going to die, because of it." Bruce said convinced.

"What could she have done?" And Lana wouldn't do something like that without telling me first." Clark said firmly.

"Think about it Clark, what else could it be?" Bruce said concerned.

"I don't know, but I do know her and she wouldn't put her life on the line like that. Not without talking to me first."

"But Clark....."

"I don't want to hear it Bruce, I came here for your wedding not to be told what my wife is doing with herself. NOW STAY OUT IT." Clark stormed out Bruce's office, leaving a dejected Bruce.

*The next night, Clark and Lana's room.*

"How was your day Lana? Did you miss me?" Clark asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Off course I did and my day was great. We got our wedding dresses fitted and Lois punched out some guy for looking down her dress. It was so funny. Lana laughs. "What about you? How was your day?" She asked curiously.

"It was fine, we had our tux's fitted. Nothing much happened, except for a couple robbers and a prison break, but nothing I couldn't handle." Clark said proud of himself.

"Well, then i guess you deserve a reward." She kisses him on the lips.

"I love your rewards." Clark said grinning.

"I love giving them." Lana grinned back as Clark then kissed her passionately and they fell back on the bed.

"Not tonight Clark, we really do need some good sleep." Lana broke his kiss.

"I guess you're right, but you owe me one." Clark said smiling.

"Fine, but only if you don't wake me up tonight." Lana joked.

"It's a deal." Clark said and then both fell went to bed.

*Dream Sequence.*

"What is it you're not telling me?" Clark asked. No answer.

"I don't have the answers you're looking for." A voice said back to him.

"That's a first, you always claim to have all the answers. Now when i finally want one, you can't give it to me." Clark said angrily.

"I'm sorry my son."

*Dream sequence over.*

Clark awakes, staring into space, until it appears he has an idea and goes back to bed.

Chapter 10:

*Clark wakes up early.*

He then writes her a note and kisses her on the forehead, before superspeeding to the FOS.

*Clark arrives in the FOS.*

"Talk to me father." He said in almost a scream.

"Yes my son?" Jor-el replied.

"What's going on?" Clark yelled.

"What do you mean, Kal-el. You are fulfilling your destiny like you should."

"You know what i'm talking about, so don't play game with me."

"I do, but I don't have the answers you are looking for." He said calmly.

"So after all these years of having all the answers, you all of a sudden don't?" Clark said in anger.

"I'm sorry my son, but I do have something to tell you."

"What is it?" Clark said in disgust.

"The time table of Kryptonians pregnancays are short ones."

"How short?" Clark asked curiously.

"Weeks or even days, depending on the mother."

"What does that mean for Lana?" He said concerned.

"I wish could give you a straight answer, but the only thing I can tell you is to be prepared for the unexpected."

Clark nodded trying to take it in, "But you have no answer regarding my dreams?" He asked again.

"Not what they are about my son, but only that when our people have such dreams, that they come true."

"Are you saying she's going to die?!?" He asked in angry and fear.

"I don't have the answer to that question."

Clark nodded angrily, "Okay, but if you do and I find out, I'm not going to be happy."

"Very well my son, good luck in your quest for answers." Light fills the FOS as Clark superspeeds back to Bruce's Mansion and finds Lana waiting for him.

"How'd it go?" She asked curiously and cautiously.

"Okay, but he couldn't give me all the asnwers." His eyes staring away from her.

"Is that why you look so sad and out of it?" She asked concerned.

"No, it's that he told me, that when our people have these types of dreams...... He paused now staring deeply into your eyes. "That they come true." There was a long pause after he spoke those words. They each looked into each other's eyes, trying to find out what to say next or how to comfort each other.

"I'll never leave, remember?" She said trying to comfort him as much as herself.

Clark takes her hands, "I don't want to lose you, please, if there's something you have to tell me. Tell me now. He said pleading with her to tell him the truth, as her eyes teared up, not knowing what to do. Chloe then knocked on their door.

"Clark, can I have a word with you?" She said looking upset.

"Not now Chloe." He said without looking at her.

"No, it's okay Clark, go to talk to her. Whatever we have to talk about can wait until later." Lana said putting a fake smiled on her face. Clark then took one last long look at her, then went outside to talk to Chloe.

"What's your problem Clark?" Chloe asked.

"What are you talking about?"

"Why did you snap at Bruce yesterday, he was only trying to help you out."

"It's none of his business, it's my business and frankly I don't like that you told him."

"He's your friend, he has a right to know when something is bothering you. He cares, that's all."

"I know..........But this isn't one of those times where I want it. This is between me and my wife, no one else."

"Same old Clark, always pushing people away." Chloe said before walking away, leaving Clark standing in the hallway thinking.

Chapter 11:

Clark stood in the hall, thinking about what Chloe said. Had he been pushing his friends away? Did he need some help on this one? He may be Superman, but that doesn't make him perfect. No, he said to himself, I don't! I will not let anyone tell me there's something wrong with my wife. I KNOW HER, he screamed to himself in his head, i know her. He said the last part in a whisper.

*Clark then walked back into his room, where Lana was getting dressed.*

"Is everything okay, Clark?" Lana asked some what concerned.

"Yes, well no." He said turning away from her. "Bruce and Chloe think that you're keeping something from me, something about our baby and I know you would tell me if you did something to get this baby. Right?" He asked looking to her eyes.

"Right." She said almost tearing up, but pushing it back so he wouldn't reconize.

"Good." He said kissing her forehead. "Let's get ready for the rehearsel dinner."

*Hours later at the rehearsel dinner.*

Clark stands up and clicks his glass. "Can I have everyone's attention please?" He asked and then everyone turned their attention to him.

"I would like to a few words about the bride and groom. Chloe and Bruce are truly two people that were meant to be together. I could see it the first time I saw them together. The way he looked at her and the she looked at him. It reminded me of the way I look at my wife, with complete love and care. Just like any couple they went through their fair share of bad times, but like the all the great couples they made it through those bad times and found each other. I wish them both all the happiness in the world, to Chloe and Bruce." Everyone raises their glass and they drink. Clark kisses Chloe on the cheek, then sits back down, not acknowledging Bruce.

Lana then stands up and everyone's attention focuses on her. "I would also like to say a few words regarding the birde and groom. Chloe and Bruce........Ahhhhh" Lana falls to the ground in pain as Clark rushes to her side.

"Lana what is it?" Clark asked very concerend.

"My stomach is really hurting Clark." Lana said.

"Alright, we need to get to a hospital, now!" He said picking her up into his arms.

"No Clark, just take me back to Bruce's, please." She said pleading with him.

"But Lana, I don't how bad you're hurt." He quickly replied.

"Please Clark." Lana asked again.

"Okay." Clark walks out of the rehearsel dinner, until no one see's him, then flies away. This leaves a lot of people very stunned.

"It's worse than I thought." Said Bruce sadly.

"They'll work everything out, don't worry." Said Chloe placing her hand on his.

Clark gets back to Bruce's and places Lana softly on this bed, stroking her hair. "Are you feeling better?' He said hoping she was.

"Yeah, but it hurt really bad." She had been in tears.

"I still think you need to see a doctor Lana."

"No, the only person I need to see is here." She said gripping his hand. "I just need to sleep it off, don't worry." She reasured him.

"Okay." He said reluctantly. Lana and Clark both rested their heads back and fell asleep.

*Dream Sequences.*

"You lied to me." Clark yelled.

"I did what I thought was right." A voice said back to him.

"I never thought you were capable of doing something like that, why?"

"Because this is what I wanted, I felt I had to." The voice yelled back.

"No, you should told me."

"It was my choice, not yours."

*Dream Sequence over.*

Clark doesn't sit up this time or is in a sweat. Just stares at the ceiling through the dark with his eyes wide open.

Chapter 12:

When Lana wakes out up the next morning, she can see Clark sitting on the edge of his bed. His head in his hands, clearly frustrated and tired.

"You had another dream, didn't you?" She said concerned by the way he looked.

He turn to her, "Yeah, I did." He said in a low voice.

"What happen?" She said hesitantly.

"I think I was taking to you." He whispered.

"About what?"

"I'm not entirely sure, but i think it was about a choice you made." He said now looking directly at her.

"A choice?" He nodded his head after she spoke.

"If there's something you're not telling me Lana, then tell me now, before it's too late. I WILL NOT LOSE YOU." He said yelling out the last part, becoming emtional.

She looked deeply into his eyes, trying to make a decision, not knowing what to do. She thought to herself, I can't. I'll be okay, i'll be okay she repeated. "Clark....." She said internally struggling with herself to find what she wants to say. "Everything is fine, you don't know anything that I don't." She hated to lie to Clark, especially knowing how much she hated to get lied to herself.

"Okay, I'm just worried, please stay safe." He said kissing her on the forehead, very sweetly.

"I will, don't worry." They share another kiss and go their separate ways before the wedding.

*Clark and Bruce meet for breakfast.*

"Hi Clark, how's Lana feeling?" Bruce asked cautiously considering the fact he and Clark weren't currently on the best terms.

"She's better, listen man. I'm sorry about what happen before and how i blew up on you. I was just having a bad day and this situation is killing me." Clark replied.

"Don't give it another thought, I understand you were just upset and frustrated." Bruce said sympathically.

"I have so many questions going around in my head and no answers to them. I don't know how she got pregnant, why she got hurt last night or who's telling the truth anymore." Clark said clinching his fists in anger.

"Well, I guess you have to ask yourself when this all started and then go from there. Why don't you take some time before the wedding and go some where to think." Bruce suggested.

"Thanks, I will." Clark and Bruce hug, then Clark walks away.

*Lana and Chloe are also meeting for breakfast.*

"So, you want to tell what last night was all about?" Chloe asked sternly.

"I had some stomach pain, nothing more." Lana said shaking it off.

"Look like more than the usual stomach pain to me." She said questioning Lana's statement.

"What are you implying Chloe?" She snapped back.

"I don't Lana, why don't you clue me in." Chloe firmly said.

"There's nothing going on and if there was, it has nothing to with you." Lana spoke looking straight into Chloe's eyes.

"But it has to do with Clark." Chloe said as Lana stopped eating and turned away. "It's tearing him a part, these nightmares, these secrets, but obviously you don't care." Lana looks at Chloe tears forming in her eyes.

"I have to go." Lana gets up and walks way.

*Clark is sitting outside of Bruce's mansion, thinking to himself.*

'When did this all start?' He said to himself, thinking back as far as he could. 'It started the day after I saw Jor-el. Lana took this long day and when she came back, it seem as if she changed. Like she was over what happen with baby thing and had renewed hope. It must have been because of the ride she took, but where did she go? She didn't go to see Chloe or Lois, not Bruce obviously, then where? My parents house? No, maybe, my mom did sound a little less surprised than my dad when she found out about the news of our baby. Hmmm.....

Chapter 13:

Clark walks into Bruce's mansion after thinking to himself for a while and decides to call home.

"Hello?" Jonathon answered.

"Hi dad, it's me." Clark replied.

"Hey son, how's Chloe and Bruce doing?" He asked.

"They're fine, the wedding is tomorrow and everything seems to be going as scheduled."

"So, what's up then?" Jonathon asked curiously.

"Dad, is mom home?" Clark asked hoping she was.

"No, she's out now, why do you ask?" He questioned Clark.

"I think Lana came to the farm a week ago and she didn't tell me." Clark told him.

"Oh, well, I don't see the problem here. Maybe she did and your mother was here to help her with whatever she wanted. What are you worried about?" He asked concerned.

"I don't know, this may seem weird, but i'm having these dreams."

"What kind of dreams?" Jonathon asked.

"Dreams of Lana dying and i'm not a 100% sure, but I think it's during child birth." Clark said almost tearing up at the thought of seeing Lana dead.

"Son, dreams aren't real, they are just figments of our imagination. Nothing to worry about?" Jonathon said trying to reasure him.

"No dad, it's more than that. I talked to Jor-el and said it's common for Kryptonians to have visions of the future through their dreams. I'm convinced this is one of those times." He said afraid.

Jonathon took a deep breath, taking this in. "Okay son, how can your mother help then?" He asked.

"By telling me what Lana wanted, maybe she did something that night. Something that allowed us to have a baby and it's going to kill her." Clark said almost yelling.

"Calm down son, I'll find your mother and she'll call you the second she gets in."

"Please hurry dad, i feel like time is running out." Clark pleaded with him.

"I will, now try to get some rest son."

"I'll try."

"Okay, bye."

"Bye." They both hang up the phone. Clark figured he could use a rest, it was a couple hours before the wedding and frankly he could use some rest. He laid down on his bed and close his eyes.

*Dream Sequence*

"We all must accept the consequences for our choices my son."

"No, I don't accept that." Clark yelled.

"You don't have too, but it's the truth. She made a choice and now she must live with it."

"Please, I can't let he die." Clark pleaded.

"Then you must accept the consequences."

"I do." Clark said.

*Dream sequence over.*

Clark woke up in a sweat, then looked at the clock and quickly got dressed for the wedding. The wedding took place in Gotham's biggest church, had up to a 10,000 people attending. Clark and Lana were the second group to walk down the aile together, arm in arm.

"We need to talk." Clark whispered.

"About what?" Lana pretended not know.

"About what's going on with you."

"Everything is fine Clark." She whispered back to him. They were half down the aile, it was a very long walk for Lana who didn't want to talk about it.

"No it isn't Lana. Why won't you tell me?" He questioned her, still whispering.

"I can't." She said holding back her tears as they finally made it to the alter and took their spots. Bruce than made his way down the aile, followed by Chloe who was brought down by her dad. The reverend would then begin. Lana stared at Chloe and Bruce remembering her and Clark's wedding. What she and Clark saidn in their wedding vows.

*Flashback.*

Clark: All my life, i've never quite known everything about myself or who I am. I guess you could say that my life was a complete mystery to me and it was. It's like everyday i would wake up and not know what today would bring me. I would always get mad at that and wonder why i can't understand who I am. There were days that i thought people knew me, better than I knew myself. Nothing would make sense and it seem like I was just one big piece to a jigsaw puzzle. The ONLY THING, that i was ever sure about was you. The ONLY THING, that i ever knew was how I felt about you. That was the one thing in my life that never changed to me or i was confused about. I knew how I felt about you, since the first day I saw you. That's when i knew there was no other girl for me, but you. That no matter what happened in my life, i could always count on you. When life became too much for me, you were always there to place your hand on mine and tell me to get up, because you loved me. Lana Lang, you are my heart and my soul, nothing means more to me than you. I love you more than life itself.

Lana: Before I went to high school, i pretty much knew what my life was about. I was the cheerleader girlfriend of the high school starting quarterback at Smallville high. My life was good, but i always felt like there was something missing. Then it happened, i met this boy, who i had always known, but not never really knew. As the year went on it, i began to get to know him better and better. Even though i had a boyfriend, i could feel myself falling in love with him. There was something about him, something that made me feel special when i was with him and made me feel complete. But I couldn't understand a part of him, he kept that a mystery to me. I spent three years confused about our relationship, three years wondering how two people who love each other could do this to each other. So, I tried moving on, i went to Paris, but again I was drawn back to him. I tried dating other people, but I knew that I would always love him. I learned a lesson, you can't run away from love, even when it gets hard. That's when i decided to tell him that i did love him, even though we had been through so much and i did. Not too long after that, he let me in, told me everything and i accepted it. i accepted it, because he is the man of my dreams and the thing that completes me. Nothing in the world could ever stop me from being there for him and loving him. I am in love with Clark Kent, he is my one and only.

*End of Flashback.*

Lana turned to Clark, remembering that day like it was yesterday. She knew she was now the one keeping the secret, but just like Clark she had a good reason. She wanted to a baby more than anything, even if she has to sacrifice herself. Clark would never agree with that, he loved her too much. She also loved him very much, but this was something she had to do, one way or another.

Chapter 14:

*The wedding reception.*

Lana had been avoiding Clark all night. She knew he wanted to talk, but she couldn't. So Clark decided if she wouldn't talk to him, then he would find a way to reach her.

Everyone was sitting at their tables, just finishing desert. Clark, Lana, Chloe, Bruce, Lois were all sitting at the center table, when Clark clicked his glass, trying to get everyone's attention.

"I would like to take a second or two to say something about the bride and groom." Everyone turns their heads toward Clark, as he begins to speak.

"Love is the most beautiful thing in the world today. It is even more beautiful when two people like Chloe and Bruce can share it. They love each other very much, they believe in each other and most importantly trust each other. Trust is an important thing in a relationship and even more important in marriage. You have to be able to tell your partner anything, no matter how hard it is to tell them." Clark turns to Lana's direction as their eyes connect. "You have to have faith that your love is strong enough to survive even the most horrible news. I have complete faith that Chloe and Bruce's love is that strong." He pauses. "As I have faith that my marriage is that strong. To Chloe and Bruce, may their marriage last a lifetime." Everyone raises their glass and drinks.

'Was he talking to me?' Lana thought. 'Off course he was', she said to herself. 'He did the same thing at Lex and Helen's rehersel dinner, it's how he gets his point across. The thing is, I know he's right, but it has nothing to do with me thinking our love isn't strong enough. I know it is, it's just this is something I had to do. Not just for me, but him too.'

"Wasn't that a good toast Lana?" Chloe asked hinting at what it was about in her own Chloe way.

Lana snaps out of her thoughts and turns to Chloe. "It was beautiful. Only Clark can say things like that and make them seem so right." She smiled to herself and then thought to herself again. 'If you can get his point across like that, then maybe I can too.'

After about 10 minutes of thinking of a speech, Lana finally clicked her glass with a fork to gather everyone's attention. Everyone turned to her and she began.

"First off, I would like to start off by congradulated Chloe and Bruce on getting married." Lana claps and is soon followed by everyone else. "I also would like to say what a great speech the best man made. I think everyone he said was right, but I would like to add a couple things to it. Trust is a very important thing in a marriage, without trust you have nothing. You should be able to tell your spouse anything, no matter what it is. However, sometimes in marriage, you have to trust that your spouse is doing the right thing, even if you might know what it is." She turns and looks at Clark. "Your love for each other is so strong, that you should also have faith that your spouse is doing what's right. Have faith that your spouse loves you very much and would never hurt you, emtionally or physically. Chloe and Bruce's have faith in each other." She pauses. "Just like me and my husband have faith in each other. To Bruce and Chloe." Everyone raises their glass and drinks.

Lana sits down, as Bruce turns to Clark, "Beautiful speech, but something tells me it wasn't just directed toward me and Chloe."

"I know, she was talking to me." Clark said looking Lana's direction. Soon after, music started to play and everyone got up, except for Clark and Lana.

Clark walked up to Lana, "We need to talk." He said in a seriously tone.

Lana looked up at him, "Let's dance and talk."

"Ok." Clark said in a nicer tone, as he took Lana's hand and they began to dance.

"Did you go to my parent's house, Lana?" Clark asked while lifting his head up to look at her.

"Yes Clark, I did." She said gazing back into his eyes.

"Why?" He questioned her.

"Because I know your mom and dad couldn't have kids, just like we couldn't. I knew that she would understand what I was going through."

"Okay, but that still doesn't answer why you didn't tell me or why we are having a kid." Clark replied frustrated.

"Clark it doesn't matter why? All that matters is we're having a kid and we're going to be a family." She said trying to convince him.

He breaks their dance and placings his hands on her shoulders. "No Lana, what matter is your safety. I won't let you die."

Lana buries her head into his chest. "I'm not going to die Clark, I love you too much."

"I love too, more than you could ever imagine." They could to embrace each other, until Clark's cell goes off. Clark looks at the name and it says mom on it. "Lana, i have to go outside for a second." Lana nodded, then Clark left.

Clark got outside and flip his cell phone. "Mom?"

Chapter 15:

"Yes, it's me Clark. What's going on?" She asked concerned.

"I need to know what Lana did when she came to visit you?" Clark said.

"We just talked about what she was going through." Martha said not giving in.

"Mom, please, I think Lana is going to die. I need to know everything that's going on here." Clark pleaded.

"I promised I wouldn't tell anyone Clark, not even you."

"And I wouldn't ask if it wasn't a life or death situation."

"Okay, she came to get the key, she wanted to talk to Jor-el to see if could help you two have a baby." Martha said with a sigh.

"I don't understand why she would just go alone like that and not even tell me." Clark said in a sad tone.

"Maybe because she thought she was the only one who could convince them to help. Remember Clark, Jor-el said it wasn't your decision, he didn't say it wasn't Lana's decision."

Clark hit his hand on his head, it all made sense now. "Thanks mom, I'll take care of it."

"I hope so Clark, don't let anything happen to Lana."

"I won't. I love you mom, bye."

"I love you too, bye." Clark hung up his cell phone in frustration. How could he have not seen this before? All the messages saying it wasn't his choice, never saying it wasn't Lana's choice. She must have made a deal with Jor-el, just like his dad did. He needed to talk to Jor-el now.

Chloe and Bruce walked up to Lana, standing alone on the dance floor. "Where's Clark?" Chloe asked.

"His cell phone rang and he went outside to answer it." Lana said concerned at the length of time he was taking. Just then, Clark walked in, in bit of a hurry.

"I have to go, congradulations on the wedding, Bruce and Chloe. I'll see you at Bruce's Lana, bye." Clark began to walk out as Lana rushed to him.

"What's going on Clark?" She said now very concerned.

"I have to talk to Jor-el. I'll see you at Bruce's." He kissed her on the forehead, then superspeeded away.

Instead of the caves, Clark went immediately to the FOS. "JOR-EL, JOR-EL." Clark screamed over and over again.

"Yes, my son." Jor-el answered calmly as always.

"What have you done?" Clark replied quickly.

"I have done nothing my son." He answered calmly again.

"Don't lie to me, I know Lana talked to you and I had dreams of you talking to me about her." Clark accused him.

"I have never spoken to the woman you are marry to and I have never lied to you."

Clark knew that was true, Jor-el had never lied to him before. "Then why are you will able to have a baby, when you said it wasn't possible?"

"This is not an answer I can give you my son."

Clark is confused. "Why not? You don't know? Or it is you don't want to tell me?" Clark again accused him.

"Like I told you, I don't have the answers. All i know is that's an impossible for a Kryptonian and a human to have a baby. Unless...." Jor-el paused.

"Unless what?" Clark asked as he widened his eyes.

"Unless the human becomes Kryptonians or posesses the power of one."

"Is that all you know?" Clark questioned him again.

"Yes Kal-el, that is all I know." Clark nodded and then superspeed back to Bruce's mansion.

Lana had been waiting up for him as he slowly made his way into their room. "Clark, is that you?"

"Yes." He replied as he picked her up into his arms.

"I was getting worried, I have something to tell you." Lana said kind of concerned.

"What is it?" Clark asked as Lana pointed to her now big stomach. 'Time is running out.' Clark said to himself.

"What's wrong Clark? Isn't this good? We really are going to have a baby?" She said confused.

"No it isn't Lana.......You're going to die." Tears coming out of Clark's eyes.

"Clark I........" Starting to cry herself.

"Lana just tell me, what did you do?" Pleading with her. "I'm begging you, please just tell me." Lana picked up her head and nodded to him.

Chapter 16:

Lana nodded her head at Clark and tried to begin. "I.....asked..." Lana paused staring into Clark's eyes.

"You asked what?" Clark said, curiously and scared at the same time.

"I asked Lara to give me the power to have a child with you." Lana said turning away from him.

Clark put his head down. "So you have my powers or what?" He asked a little upset and frightened.

"I have your powers." Lana murmered.

Clark nodded his head up and down. "And what were the consequences? Because I know with my biological parents, there's always a consequence for your actions." Clark said now looking up into eyes, sensing the fear.

"She said, that I could die. That she didn't know who my body would react to having all that power taken from my body when the baby is born." Putting her head in her hands.

Clark rubbed his face with his hand. "I can't understand why you risk all that, just to have a baby. And makes me upset, because it makes me think that you have no idea how much I love you. That you should just throw your life away without even mentioning anything to me." Tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm sorry Clark, but I was doing this for the both of us. We both wanted a child, a family and I thought this would be our only chance." She said walking up to him grabbing his hand.

He slips her grip and walks toward the door. "I'm sorry that you thought we weren't a family already." He said, then walked out the door as Lana stood hurt by his comments.

Clark then flew to the FOS. "LARA! LARA!" Clark screamed as loud as he could.

"Yes my son." Lara said calmly.

"How could you do this to me? To her?" He asked in an anger tone.

"It was her choice Kal-el, you will make decisions that we think our best and your wife may one that she thought was best." Lara replied.

"I don't accept that, you shouldn't have gave in to her if you knew that she was doing to die." Clark shoot back.

"It's not for me to decide what's right for her, it's her life, not mine." Lara said now getting emtional.

"If you were the mother you claim to be, then you would never have hurt your son like that. Don't ever call me again, because i'll never listen. I wish you never existed." Clark snapped at her. He had never been this anger before at anyone. When it came to Lana's safety though, Clark could turn into a different person. The FOS was now dead quiet, even though you couldn't tell, Lara was hurt. She wasn't like Jor-el, she felt emtion, just like any mother would. "I think you got the message." Clark said before leaving.

Lana was still at home, mostly crying her eyes out, until a call came. "Clark?" She asked hopefully.

"No, it's Martha." She said cheerfully as always.

"Oh, hi Martha." Lana said between her sniffles.

"Are you okay Lana? Did something happen between you and Clark?"

"No and how'd you know?" Lana asked curiously.

"Call it mother's intuition." She tried to laugh.

"We got into a big fight about what happen when i went to talk to Lara."

"You talked to Lara, I thought you talked to Jor-el?" Martha asked curiously.

"No, I talked to Lara and I asked her to give me the power to have a child with Clark."

"Oh, kind of sounds familar." Martha sighed.

"Yeah, with Mr. Kent, but my deal involved the consequences that I might die." Lana said with fear.

"I guess you really wanted to have a child."

"Yes and Clark got upset, because he thought I didn't know how much he loved me. He didn't want me to take that kind of risk." She said tearing up.

"I felt the same way when Jonathon made his deal, but sometimes you do things for your own reasons, that might not seem right to others." She said trying to understand.

"Thanks for trying to understand Ma.....AHHHHHH" Lana screamed.

"Lana what's wrong?" Martha asked with concern.

"It's my stomach, call the ambul...." Lana passed out.

"Lana? LANA? Oh God." Martha hung up the phone, then picked it up and called 911.

With Lana's life on the life on the line, Clark will soon make a decision that the world will regret. Chloe, the Kents and Lois all stand by Lana's side hoping Clark can come up with a solution to save Lana and their baby.

Chapter 17:

Clark flew back to his house and when he got there he noticed the place was kind of a mess. The phone was off the hook, "What happened here?" He asked himself and then saw his cell phone's light flashing. He picked up the phone and saw he had 5 messages. Clark quickly called his voice mail and listened.

"Clark, this is mom, Lana faithed while I was talking to her and I called 911. Then took her to Metropolis General Hospital, me and your dad our on the way. As is Lois, Chloe and Bruce who I called. They hurried back from their hooneymoon. I hope you get this message soon and please hurry." Clark threw down his phone and superspeed to the hospital.

When he arrived the first person he saw was his mom. He ran up to her nad huggged her. "Mom, is Lana okay?" He asked very concerned.

"She's still unconious Clark and we don't know when she's going to wake up." Martha said in tears.

"What room is she in?" Clark asked.

"Room 214, Chloe and Bruce are in there now." Martha told Clark as he hurried to the room. He walks into the room, seeing Bruce and Chloe saying a motionless Lana with tubes in her nose.

"Clark?" Chloe gets up and hugs him. "Where were you?" She asked worried.

"I was talking to Lara." He said still upset by their talk.

"About what?" She asked curiously.

"About giving Lana the power to have a baby with me." Clark said.

"So that was Lana's secret? What was the big deal with that?" Chloe questioned him.

"The big deal is that it could kill her and look at her now." Clark said tears forming in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry Clark." Chloe said as Bruce joined her and nodded his head.

"Maybe we should give him some alone time Chloe." Bruce said politely.

"Thanks Bruce." Clark said almost in a whisper, Bruce nodded as he and Chloe left. Clark took a chair and put it as close as possible to Lana's bedside.

"I should have been there, I never should have let this happen." Clark says now in tears, he places his hand on hers.

"You can't die Lana, I love you too much to let you go." Now sobbing on her bed, while holding her hand.

"Please get up, please." The doctor knocks on the door, as Clark wipes away his tears. "Come in." The doctor walks in.

"Mr. Kent, I have some news for you."

Clark gets up hopeful of what the doctor might say. "What is it?"

"If Mrs. Kent doesn't..............wake up." The doctor pauses taking in the emtion of the sitaution. "Then she will die, but we might be able to save the baby." The doctor says trying to give Clark some hope.

"She'll die and there's nothing you can do?" He asks almost pleading with him.

"We can't do anything if she stays unconious like this. The more she stays like this, the more she slips away. I'm sorry." The doctor walks out.

"No, i can't let this happen. There must be a way to save her." Clark thinks for a second and then superspeeds away to the FOS.

"JOR-EL, LARA." Clark screamed.

"Yes, my son." Jor-el answered.

"Did you know all along the deal Lara made with Lana?" Clark asked.

"No my son, but Lara did what she thought was best." Jor-el reasoned.

"I don't buy that, but i'm not here about that. I need to save Lana, can you help me?" Clark asked hopefully.

"There is nothing we can do." Jor-el.

"PLEASE, I can't let her die..........i'll give anything." Clark pleaded with him.

"We can't help my son, we have to let life take it's course." Jor-el responded.

"NO, i won't accept that. IF YOU DON'T HELP ME NOW, I SWEAR I'LL NEVER COME BACK AND OR FULFILL MY DESTINY ANYMORE." Clark yelled.

"Kal-el there is a way." Lara interjected.

"What is it?" Clark asked desperate.

"Take this stone and place it on her, it will heal her and strip away her powers without killing her." Lara said as the stone appear in front of Clark, he grabbed it.

"Kal-el don't use that stone, it's too dangerous. It will release a powerful enemy." Jor-el warned him.

"I don't care, as long as it saves Lana." Clark told him, then superspeeded away.

"What have you done Lara? If he uses that stone it will open the gate way from the Phatom zone and free Zod."

Chapter 18:

Clark superspeed as fast as he ever did. Reaching the hospital and running into Lana's room. The doctor was checking her breathing as Clark came in.

"Mr. Kent, we're losing her. She has stopped breathing." The doctor said in a sad tone.

"Please leave the room doctor, it's okay." He said as the doctor looked curiously at him.

"I don't understand Mr. Kent." He said confused.

"Just leave me with my wife." Clark said becoming very serious.

"Ok." The doctor said leaving the room, looking skeptically at Clark on the way out. After he left, Clark went up to Lana's bed, took her hand and placed the stone on it.

"Please let this work." He said to himself. "I can't lose her." He said forming tears. "I can't lose her." He repeated to himself. When the stone touched Lana's hand it began to glow, the glow became greater until light exploded from it. Lana's body lifted slightly as light came from it and then settled back on the bed after the light was removed from her body. Clark shielded his eyes from the light, until it was gone. "Lana?" He said in a whisper. Still no reply or moment, "NO!" Clark yelled and picked up Lana in his arms.

"You can't leave." Clark said while crying, then Lana slowly opened her eyes.

"I'll never leave." She said in a whisper as Clark smiled and pulled her head up to him.

"Lana! You made it." Clark said holding on her tighter.

"I did, but I might die again if you hold me any tighter." Clark smiled and losened his grip.

"I love you so much." He said kissing her passionately as she returned the kisses.

"I love you too. What'd you do?" She asked him.

"I used the healing stone that my biological mother gave me. It took away your powers without killing you." He said still trying to get over the whole situation.

"I'm sorry I did this to you Clark, I just wanted a baby so bad." Lana said tearing up.

"I know Lana, but it's not worth your life." Clark told her.

"You're right." She said stroking his hair. When Lois, Chloe, Bruce and The Kents came in.

"Lana! You're okay." Martha said giving Lana a hug.

"I'm sorry I worried everyone." Lana said.

"We're just you're okay." Bruce tells her as everyone knows their head.

"Now, if you wouldn't mind not getting hurt again Lana. Maybe I could continue on my honeymoon." Chloe said placing her hand on Lana's should and smiling.

"Go right ahead and enjoy your honeymoon. Mrs. Wayne." Lana said giggling.

"Okay, bye." Bruce and Chloe wave to everyone as they leave.

"Are you two going to be okay." Jonathon asked them.

"We'll be fine dad, i'm as sure of that now as i've ever been." Clark said with confidence.

His parents nodded, "Good, well, we'll let you two go home. Goodnight." Jonathon said as he and Martha left.

"We are going to be fine, right?" Clark said looking down at Lana.

She kissed him, "Absolutely." She said with a smile.

*Scene shifts to the Metropolis highway where a huge bolt of lighting strikes and the road.*

A well built comes out of the spot in the road where the lighting bolt hit. He looks around curiously, but also knowing where he is.

"Kal-el." He says to himself.

Yeah I had a long day today too! last night I went to a party at Columbia University til 3 am went to sleep 5 am got up at 7 15 because my boy from Orlando lost all his money in Atlantic City he wanted me to come and bail him out...I couldn't because I was going at 8 30 to Pennsylvania to go paintballing then my boy i went paintballing with dislocated his shoulder and I ended up in a small hospital in the Poconos from 2-6pm and didn't get back to the city til 9pm and then went to the San genero fest in Little Italy and ate dinner and now i'm up on K-site!:D

I had school friday, then practice right after it, then after practice my team road the bus for 5 hours to NJ. Got at the hotel, went o bed at 12, got up at 9, ate breakfast, then prepared for a game against the number 1 player in the country. It was so hott, sweating like crazy, game got over at like 4, road the bus for 5 more hours, got back at 9. Watched the bc game with my teammates, played poker, helped break up a fight and here I am.

Chapter 19:

The doctor walks in to see Clark and Lana embracing and preparing to leave. "Glad to see you're feeling much better, Mrs. Kent. It looks like whatever happen to you has gone away and from the test that were conducted a little while ago, everything appears to be fine." The doctor said smiling, until he remember what else he came in to say.

"That's great doctor, would it be okay if I took her home now?" Clark asked with a smile.

The doctor nodded, "I also have some bad news for you two, it appears that while Mrs. Kent came back to life......The baby died. It was kind of strange, I really don't understand it at all." The doctor said puzzled.

Clark looked at Lana firmly, telling her with his eyes it would be okay. "Thank you for everything you have done doctor, I appreciate it." Clark said, then shook the doctor's hand, then he and Lana left.

When they got outisde the hospital, Clark turned to Lana, "Ready?" He asked.

"I don't know, it's been so long. Are you sure you can still hold me?" She said with grin.

"Maybe, how much weight did you gain?" Clark asked playfully as Lana gave him a slap on the arm.

"That hurt." She turned from him and put her face in her hands, pretending to cry.

"Lana, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. Please forgive." He pleaded then she turned around and laughed at him.

"Got you!" She said laughing and pointing.

"Very funny." He rolled with eyes.

"You deserved it." She said sternly.

"I did, not let's get out here." Clark said, then scoped Lana up into his arms, they look at each longingly before Clark took off.

*Scene shifts to Metropolis Daily Planet.*

"Hey Jimmy, get me these papers quick. I need to print out this article before Perry kills me." Lois shouted as Jimmy ran to her.

"Here you go, Ms. Lane. Sorry about that, I kind of got tied up." Jimmy said sheepishly.

"How times do I have to tell you? It's Lois, not Ms. Lane, I'm not my mother and we're like one year a part in age." Lois said annoyed.

"Sorry, Ms....I mean Lois. I'll try and remember that." He said with a smile.

"It's okay, as long as your quick with what i need." She said winking at him.

As Jimmy and Lois went back to work, a man with a hood enter the Daily Planet. Unfortunately for Jimmy, he bumped into this man. "Can I help you?" He asked.

"Where is he?" The man asked.

"Where's who?" Jimmy replied confused.

"Where's Kal-el?" The man asked in an angryer tone.

"I don't know what who you're talking about." Jimmy said agaib, becoming afraid.

"Where can I find him?" The man says, then throws a picture of Superman into Jimmy's face. As Lois notices this and looks over at them

"Superman?" Jimmy asks him as Lois interupts them.

"I can find him for you." Lois says.

The man looks at her, then back at Jimmy, finally turning to Lois. "Take me to him." The man and Lois begin to walk out, but before she leaves, Lois turns to Jimmy.

"Call Clark and tell him what happen. He'll know what to do." She says before leaving with the man.

*Scene shifts to Clark and Lana's house.*

"I always did enjoy the ride." Lana said to Clark as they arrived on their front porch, Lana still in Clark's arms.

"So did I, maybe we should do it more often." Clark said smiling and kissing Lana on the forehead. Then moved down to her lips and tenderly kissed her.

"Mmm." It's been so long since we've kissed, Lana said with her eyes still partically closed.

"Too long." Clark said in whisper and kissed her again, just more passionately this time. Just as they were heating up, they heard the phone ring.

"Perfect timing as always." Lana says with a sigh.

"We'll continue this later." He said with a grin, then let Lana down and got the phone.

"Clark Kent here." He said.

"Clark, It's me Jimmy." Jimmy said in an upset voice.

"Hey Jimmy, is everything okay?" Clark asked concerned.

"I don't know, I don't think, well maybe it is..I" Jimmy mumbled.

"Jimmy, slow down, what's going on?" Clark asked confused.

"Some man came to the Planet today looking for Superman. Actually, he said he was looking for Kal-el. Anyways, Lois said she could find him, but then she told me to call you and tell you what happen." Jimmy said confused by the whole situation.

"Okay, thanks Jimmy." Clark said and hung up. Lana then walked in.

"Is everything okay Clark? She asked.

"I don't know, Jimmy just called and said there was a man looking for Kal-el at the Daily Planet. Lois said she could find him and would bring the man to me." Clark said confused.

"Who would be looking for Kal-el?" Lana asked.

"No clue, but I do need to find this person. I have a feeling they could be dangerous." Clark said focused.

"Okay, just be careful." Lana said taking his hand.

"I will." He said reasuring her with a smile, kissing her and then flying away.

i think it may be because she realized that as much as she wanted to have her baby, then maybe her life was worth more than that. The part about the baby dieing after lana came back to life was a serious clue, ONLY LIFE CAN BE GIVEN TO ONE. But I like the way its turning out now. Instead of Lex being the enemy, Zod is the main enemy. It all comes out now. But watch and see if Zod and Lex don't join forces if Lex breaks out of jail or gets out after his time is served. That would be kinda weird but predictable.

yeah it did seem a little weird that Lana wasn't sad. Before she knew she could die from getting the powers to have a baby and she still put her life at risk to have a baby. But now she just went home with Clark appearing not to be sad.

Chapter 20:

Lois and the man in the hood are walking toward Metropolis Police station. "Kal-el is in there." She says, pointing to the police station. The man is about to enter, when a swat teams surrounds him. Apparently, Lois called the police and told them to be ready. Lois remembered all too well the last time she tried to stop someone trying to find Kal-el.

"What is this?" The man says, not flinching at the guns.

"Stay where you are and don't move?" The head swat officer tells him.

"Where's Kal-el? Did he send you?" The man asks as he steps toward them.

"Stay where you are!" The officer repeats, but the man continues to move toward him. "Fire!" The officer yells as the swat team fires their guns, but all the bullets bounce off him.

"I don't have time for these games, where's Kal-el?" The man asks again, but they're all in shock and can't answer. The man then superspeeds to Lois and picks her up by the throat, "If you don't tell me where he is, i'll break her in two." The man says increasing his grip on her throat as the swat team looks on helplessly. Then out of no where the man is nailed and sent flying into a wall.

"Looking for me." Superman says, helping up Lois.

"Kal-el!" The man says.

Superman turns to Lois, "Get them out of here." Lois nods her head as she motions for everyone to leave, they obey still in awe.

"Who are you?" Superman ask the man, as he takes off his hood.

"My name is Zod, general of Krypton." He says showing off his well-built body, much like Clarks.

"What do you want?" Superman asks.

Zod smiles, "Just to the rule the world, that's all."

"Then you'll have to get through me to do it." Superman says preparing himself for battle.

"You know, you sounds just like your father. I once told him of my plan and he said he would never allow that to happen. He told me I would have to get through him to do it." Zod pauses, laughs, then turns a cold face to Clark. "So I did, I left him and Lara to die as well as the rest of Krypton. Although, I must admit, being in the Phatom Zone was no fun, but it was worth it knowing they all died and i survived."

"I'll avenge their deaths and this time, you won't survive." Clark says in an angry tone.

"Oh come on Kal-el, don't be foolish. We can rule this world together, no one could stop us." Zod said trying to convince him.

"I'll never join you." He tells him.

"Kal-el, just think about it. Being the ruler of a planet, where you are the king and everyone bows to you."

"I would never want that, because the people of this planet don't deserve that." Superman tells him.

"But they do, they need leadership to save themself from each other. They can't be allowed to do things themself, they'll destroy each other." Zod replies.

"That's why i'm here, to protect them, not to rule over them." Superman says with pride.

"Join me!' He yells.

"Never!" Superman yells back.

"Then you will die, along with the rest of them. No one can stop me, not even you." Zod tells him.

"I can and I will." Superman says, then shoots heat vision at him, but Zod blocks it with his own.

"Impressive Kal-el, not but not good enough." Zod's heat vision begins to overpower Clark's and it sends Clark flying. Zod then superspeeds to him and tosses him through a wall. Clark is shocked by how strong Zod is compared to himself, but he gets up and superspeeds toward Zod. As he approaches him, Zod punches him in the chest, with one his fists that appeared to be rapped in something. Clark is sent flying into an alley and see's blood coming from his chest. Zod hit him with green kryptonite, which he had rapped in lead around his fist.

"He's too strong." Clark mumbles in pain, as he crawls away in pain. However, Zod superspeeds to him and is about to finish him off, when Zod starts to weaken.

"Get away from him." Lana says holding green k in his face, she then hits him with it and runs to Clark. "Clark are you okay?" She asks concerned.

"I'm fine, get him." Clark says in a whisper, but when Lana turns around he's gone.

"Come on, let's get you home." She says picking him up and putting his arm around her shoulder.
