Chapter 24:

*Chloe's apartment, Clark had gone there after making a short trip back to the FOS.*

Clark: Can i get her back? Have i screwed this up enough, so that i can't fix this.

*Chloe overhear him and walked up.*

Chloe: No.

*Clark turns around.*

Chloe: Clark, you and her are in love, nothing can change that. Not even a mistake like that.

Clark: Except it has Chloe.

Chloe: Only if you let it.

*He gets up.*

Clark: I refuse to let it happen.

*He superspeeds to Lana's apartment.*

Clark: Lana?

Lana: Hey Clark.

Clark: We need to talk?

Lana: No we don't.

Clark: Please don't do this, give me a chance.

Lana: Fine.

*They sit down.*

Clark: I know i made a mistake, i know i turned my back on you when you needed me the most, but i promise on my life it will never happen again. I love you Lana, nothing will ever change that, you're my one and only, my very best friend. There's no one else for me, but you.

*Lana could see Clark's eyes tear up and could fell her own do the same.*

Lana: What do you want me to say to that Clark?

Clark: The same.

Lana: How do you expect me to do that? All after what happen? After you left for a year without so much as a goodbye. You broke my heart and you keep breaking it.

*Clark didn't know what to say, he knew it was true.*

Lana: How can you keep doing this to someone you love?

*She was now crying heavily.*

Clark: Not a day goes by that i don't regret the decisions i've made. Not a day goes by that i don't hate myself for hurting you. Not a day goes by that i don't wish i could change what i've done.

*Reaches into his pocket, tears filling his eyes.*

Clark: This never left my possesion this whole year.

*He shows her the wedding ring her gave her.*

Clark: It is a constant reminder to me of what i've lost and what i once had. I would give anything to wipe away all your pain, i would green kryponite to the heart, just so you never have to cry again. I can't change the past Lana, all i can do is make up for it in the future.

*He gets up.*

Clark: I don't expect you to forgive me, but i need you to know that no matter what happens i will never give up on you.

*He whispers in her ear before leaving.*

Clark: I love you.

*He walks out the door, leaving Lana crying.*

*Scene shifts to Metropolis Prison.*

Guard: Here you go Mr. Luthur, you're free to go.

Lex: Haha, excellent.

Chapter 25:

*Lana's apartment, Chloe is there and they have been talking.*

Chloe: So you're just going to give up, just like that?

Lana: I can't keep going through this Chloe, it's not fair to me.

Chloe: It's fair to him either Lana.

Lana: What's not fair to him,? He does it to himself.

Chloe: What's not fair to him is how he has to live his life. He has to live through a mask everyday, with people not knowing who he really is. He has to work all day, then save the world at night. He has to deal with his biological parents interferring with his life and Lex Luthur. The only thing good about his life is you.

*Lana looks down.*

Lana: He left.

Chloe: I know, that's because he couldn't face the world without you. He needs you.

Lana: BUT I NEEDED HIM.

*Lana gets up, almost yelling.*

Lana: WHERE WAS HE ALL LAST YEAR? WHERE WAS HE WHEN THAT JERK TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME?

*Chloe nods her head.*

Chloe: We all make mistakes, that's what makes us human, even the hero's make mistakes.

Lana: Is that an acceptable excuse, he made a mistake?

Chloe: It is for someone you love and care about.

Lana: He broke my heart.

Chloe: Two hearts were broken, not one. Listen Lana.

*Chloe stands up.*

Chloe: Are you willing to throw away a lifetime of love on a mistake? Are you willing to throw away something special, something that some people could only wish for over a mistake? Something I would kill for? I hope not, but it's your decision and your life.

*Lana doesn't know how to respond.*

Chloe: I have to go, it appears an old friend has resurfaced.

*Chloe leaves.*

Lana: She was right, i hate when she's right. I will never find a guy as good as Clark and will never love someone like i love him. If i back down now, i'll be the one making a mistake.

*Scene shifts to Chloe's apartment an hour later, where Chloe is informing Clark for Lex being back and what he did.*

Chloe: Clark, Lex set everything up, he placed Stan at the school, he paid the robber to rob Lana and planned all of it.

*Rag is filling Clark's eyes.*

Clark: Where is he?

Chloe: My guess would be LuthurCorp.

*Clark gets up as Chloe grabs his arm.*

Chloe: Don't do anything stupid.

Clark: I'll try not to.

*Clark leaves and superspeeds to LuthurCorp.*

*Scene shifts to LuthurCorp, where Lex appears to have been waiting for Clark.*

Lex: Well, you're a little late.

Clark: Expecting me?

Lex: Off course.

Clark: Good, because we have to chat.

Lex: About what?

*Lex grins.*

Clark: I hear you set everthing up, you planted Stan and everything.

Lex: That I did and worked to perfection. Stan had his doubts, thinking you and Lana were too much in love to break a part, but he was wrong. You two are just as weak here as you were in Smallville.

*Clark is filling up with rage and superspeeds straight to Lex, holding him up by the neck.*

Clark: I'll break you in two.

Lex: ahaha, you don't have it in you.

Clark: Oh i don't.

*He squeezes harder.*

Lex: You may be unbreakable Clark, but the people you love aren't.

*Clark starts to loosen his grip.*

Lex: That's right, i have people throughout Metropolis and Smallville. You make one wrong move and down they'll go. Then i'll move on to Lana and i'll kill her very slowly.

Clark: I will kill to protect them.

Lex: You won't have to as long as you stay away.

*Clark drops Lex from his grip.*

Clark: Stay away from them and i'll....

*Clark doesn't want to stay it.*

Clark: I'll stay away from you.

Lex: Done.

*Clark stares straight through Lex's eyes and then slowly walks out.*

*Chloe's apartment, Clark is just staring out a window aimlessly, when Lana walks in.*

Lana: Metropolis is beautiful isn't it.

*He turns around.*

Clark: Yeah, but i could think of more beautiful things.

*He smiles.*

Lana: I came here to talk to you.

Clark: Ok, why don't we sit down.

*They sit down.*

Lana: Over the past year i did a lot of thinking and i realized something.

*Preparing for the worse Clark slowly replies.*

Clark: What did you realize?

Lana: That no matter what happens, no matter how much he hurts me, i will always be in love with Clark Kent.

*Happy and sad at the same time, Clark doesn't reply.*

Lana: You have no idea how much you hurt me, i don't know if i can ever forgive you for that.

Clark: I....

*She stops him.*

Lana: But i know i could never forgive myself if i gave up on us and passed up on something special.

*Clark senses some hope.*

Lana: Nothing would make me happier than to be your wife and spend the rest of my life with you.

*Clark smiles.*

Clark: I was always wishing you did.

*Clark places his hand on Lana's cheek and leans in slowly.*

Clark: It's been too long since we did this.

*He kisses her tenderly and shortly, as they pull away with both their eyes stilled close.*

Clark: It was worth the wait.

*Clark opens his eyes, as Lana slowly opens hers.*

Lana: It was.

Clark: I have something for you and we need to do this right.

*He takes out the ring from his pocket and gets on his knees.*

Clark: Lana Lang, i have loved you since i was five years old and still do to this day. Will you marry me?

Lana: Yes.

Clark: This calls for a treat, meet me later tonight for dinner at the most expensive restaurtant in Metropolis.

*Clark checks his pockets.*

Clark: Or maybe just meet me here.

Lana: Any where will be just fine.

Clark: Good, see you at seven?

Lana: I wouldn't miss it for the world.

*Later that day around 5, Chloe arrives home.*

Chloe: Hey Clark.

Clark: Hey Chloe.

*He hugs her and kisses her on the cheek.*

Chloe: What was that for?

Clark: Being my best friend.

*Chloe smiles.*

Chloe: Thanks, i know you'd do the same for me.

Clark: In a heartbeat.

Chloe: So what's your plans for tonight?

Clark: Well, me and my finacee are having a special dinner tonight.

Chloe: That's great and i'm happy for two. By the way, are you going to try and get your job back the Daily Planet?

Clark: Yeah, it's on the agenda for tomorrow, but i doubt it will happen.

Chloe: You can't just leave for a year and expect a welcome back part.

Clark: I know.

Chloe: I have a feeling though you'll get it back, Perry know how good a reporter you are.

Clark: I hope so.

Chloe: So, i've been wondering. What happen this past year to you in the FOS?

*Clark didn't know how to answer that, a lot had happened, the knowledge he learned of his planet and the new powers he learned. It was a lot to take in and he wasn't even sure he had taken it all in.*

Clark: I learned about my home.

Chloe: Your home?

Clark: My real home, Krypton.

Chloe: You did? Wow, what'd you learn.

Clark: Well, i learned how they lived, what kind of people they were and so on.

Chloe: Oh, what did you think.

Clark: It was a lot more complicated then i could ever have imagined.

Chloe: Really? Are you planning on telling Lana tonight?

Clark: Yep, but it's a lot to take it and i just hope she can handle it.

Chloe: I'm sure she can handle it, anyways, i have to get to work.

Clark: Alright, bye.

Chloe: Oh and remember, i want details when i get back. On your dinner and planet.

Clark: Ok.

*They both smile as Chloe leaves and Clark prepares for dinner.*

Clark: This going to be tough, but i'm going to try to make this as perfect as possible.

*Clark starts superspeeding around setting things up.*

*Lana arrives at Chloe's apartment exactly at 7pm, she knocks on the door.*

Clark: Who is it?

Lana: Mrs. Kent.

*Clark smiles widely as he opens the door.*

Clark: I could get use to you saying that.

Lana: I could get use to saying it.

Clark: Dinner is ready.

*Lana looks around.*

Lana: Ah, where is it?

*Clark smiles.*

Clark: It's right where i set it up, so, are you ready to go?

Lana: Go? Go where?

Clark: You'll see.

*He sweeps her off her feet as they look deeply into each other's eyes.*

Lana: I'll go any where with you.

Clark: Alright, hold on.

*Clark with Lana in his arms flew out of Chloe's apartment and they went through the air for what seem like only a few seconds until they landed on a familar spot.*

Clark: We're here, you can open your eyes.

*Lana had her eyes closed, it was a little scary for her to be flying through the air, even though she knew she was safe in Clark's arms. She opened her eyes.*

Lana: Wow, it's beautiful.

*They were in Smallville, on the windmill, where a pinic basket of food was laid with two candles lit and a blanket.*

Clark: I was hoping you would like it.

Lana: I don't like it.

*She kisses him lightly.*

Lana: I love it. It's beautiful up here and it's always nice to come back home.

*They eat dinner and when they finish, they lay together and Clark wraps them up in a blanket.*

Clark: I hate to ask this question, but what'd you do this past year?

*The smile faded from Lana's face as she remembered that horrible time.*

Lana: Umm, nothing really. Just hung around with Chloe and Lois. Went to work every day, nothing important.

*Clark could see she wasn't telling him the whole truth, but decided not to press her on it.*

Chapter 28:

*Clark looked deeply into Lana's eyes.*

Clark: Are you there's not something else you want to tell me?

Lana: No.

*Lana said with a fake smile.*

Clark: Ok, I trust you, whatever happened, happened in the past and it was my fault to begin with.

*He kissed her on the forehead and smiled.*

Lana: So, what happen to you last year?

Clark: I went to the FOS in the artic.

Lana: Wow, that's a long way from here.

Clark: Yeah it is, i had to get away from all this. I just couldn't face the world without you.

*He grabs her hand and kisses it.*

Lana: Did anything happen there?

Clark: Yeah, something did.

*Clark took a huge gulp, he need he had to tell her everything, but wasn't sure how she would react.*

Lana: What was it? You can tell me anything.

Clark: Well, i learned all about heritage and my planet.

Lana: Really? What'd you learn.

Clark: A lot, so get comfortable, it's a long story.

Lana: Get comfortable? Okay.

*Snuggled as close to Clark as humanly possible wrapping the blanet around both of them.*

Lana: I'm good.

*Clark smiled and slowly began.*

Clark: Well, here i go: The Planet of Krypton existed for about 300 years, long before human life even came to earth. They had all the techknowledge we did, way before he had anything. They are light years ahead of us in techknowledge now, the things they have would astonish you.

Lana: What things did they have?

Clark: They had teleportation devices to take them any where they wanted, they didn't need cars or anything. They had incredible houses, houses that did everything for them. The house could clean for them, decorate and so on, it was like the house had a mind of it's own. That's how smart they were, they created things like that, things you couldn't imagine.

Lana: Wow, how could they have been so smart?

Clark: They became smart because of experience that they learned from us and their own people who died. They would take that knowledge and implant it into themselves as well as their young. Everyone walking around Krypton was a genius at their own job or purpose.

Lana: What do you mean their own purpose?

Clark: Each person was assigned a job when born and they had to fulfill this job in order to help society. When they were born, they were implanted with the knowledge to perform their job. It wasn't anything like Earth, where you would choose your job, you had to do the job. I mean it was the only thing that you would be good at and they didn't take too kindly if you refused the job either. You did what you were told or else.

Lana: Or else?

Clark: Yeah, you would be sent to this kind of super jail, i think Jor-el said it was the Phatom Zone. I believe he said some kryptonians are still in there, a guy by the name of brainac. He said there were some other survivers, but i'll get to that later.

Lana: Survivers? You mean the planet is gone?

Clark: Yes, remember the first meteor shower?

Lana: Off course.

Clark: Yeah, well, those meteors were the remainders of my planet. Krypton was destroyed Lana.

Lana: How? Why?

Clark: We really don't know, but Jor-el and I have a couple theories on that.

Lana: Ok, please share them.

Clark: Well, me and Jor-el think that planet destroyed itself. That the people destroyed it, because they were too smart for their own good. They didn't have the emtions like we do or the feelings we do. Their idea of marriage was a good pairing of people who did the same job, they figured it would increase the person's intelligence in that job as well as their efficency at the job. They also did it by the order in society. They had social classes and you couldn't marry above your class. Also, they never failed at anything they did, which made them perfect.

Lana: I don't see how this could have been their downfall Clark.

*Clark smiles and kisses her.*

Clark: The one thing that makes humans great is their emtions and their imperfection. We know what it's like to fail, they didn't. We all have bondaries for how far we can all, they didn't. It was like they ran through a big computer, that was telling them what to do. Emtions never played a part in their life, they didn't love, didn't fear anything and didn't have hope. Jor-el was different however.

Lana: Why was Jor-el different?

Clark: Because he felt emtions, remember 2 years ago when we were looking in to one of your relatives Loiuse?

Lana: Yeah.

Clark: The guy was in love with, was Jor-el. He told me about the times he spent with her and how he developed love. He was in love with Louise, but knew his purpose was much greater than she could comprehend and that he couldn't bring her to Krypton, she wouldn't have been accepted. He told me he was heart broken at losing her and he loved her more than anyone.

*That kind of hurt Clark when he said that, because he had also made a connection with his real mom, Lara, in the FOS.*

Lana: I thought he looked like you.

Clark: Yeah, he was a lot more like me, than i could have ever thought. His father was very strict just like he is and was just as confused as i was or am. When he went back to Krypton he became a head scientist in his department, it was his purpose, because he wa so smart. He was the person who came with all their new and awesome techknowledge. He was also the only person who saw the problem with their world. He tried to convince all the other head Kryptonians to change their ways, but it was futile. Jor-el knew he had to find a way out, so he and my real Lara worked together. They came up with an idea to make an esacape pod or ship to be trasported to Earth. So, when the time came.....

*Clark startered to stutter as tears flowed down his cheek.*

Lana: Clark it's okay, just say it, i'm here.

Clark: They sent their only son away and saved him from the destruction of Krypton.

*Clark was no crying, his head buried in Lana's chest.*

Lana: They must have really loved you to do that.

Clark: They did and i'm just mad i resented them, especially Jor-el for all these years.

Lana: You couldn't have known and they wouldn't want you to blame yourself for that.

Clark: You're right, but there's more. You know how i said the Kryptonians destroyed themselves?

Lana: Yeah?

Clark: Well, i think it was also planned. I don't think they were meant to be destroyed so soon, i think it was planned and so does Jor-el.

Lana: Who could have done that?

Clark: A kryptonian by the name of Zod.

Chapter 29:

Lana: Zod?

Clark: Yes, General Zod to be exact. He lead the kryptonian army, probably the most powerful army on the face of the planet.

Lana: I would think so, especially if it had a lot of Clark Kents in it.

Clark: Actually Lana, people on my planet weren't like me. I got my powers from the earth's sun.

Lana: Oh.

Clark: Anyways, me and Jor-el think General Zod destroyed Krypton.

Lana: Why would he do that?

Clark: For power, they all knew how powerful we could be on earth, but the higher powers thought it was better not to interfer with earth. Zod was hungry for power and he knew the only people who could stop him were the krypton people and Jor-el. So he tried to destroy it, he messed up computer flies and jammed the computers with wrong information that spread throughout Krypton. This lead to massive confusion and soon the people destroyed themselves. Zod made himself an escape route and left everyone to die.

*Clark's eyes filled with rage.*

Lana: I'm so sorry Clark.

Clark: Not your fault.

Lana: Do you know where he is or if he's coming to earth?

Clark: I have no clue, Jor-el said he couldn't locate him. Where ever he was, it is very far away. I also don't know if he is coming to earth, but if he is, there will be a war unlike anyone has ever seen.

Lana: What would we do?

*Looks at Lana sternly.*

Clark: WE wouldn't do anything. You would get to safety and i'd try to save the Clark.

Lana: Clark! I wouldn't leave you.

Clark: You'd have to, because i would never let you get hurt.

*They kiss passionately, after about 10 minutes they take a break.*

Clark: I love you.

Lana: I love you too, more than you'll ever know.

*She gave Clark a big grin.*

Clark: Stealing my line, huh?

Lana: Well, if it fits.

*She kisses him.*

Lana: Tell me how the suns gives you powers.

Clark: Well, since i live here every day and am exposed to the sun every day it gives solar energy. I guess this energy helps me develop powers and get stronger. On Krypton, the sun would only come up once a year, not long enough to give them any powers. I am afraid though of how much strength and power it could give me. Jor-el said there was no limitation to the power it could give and that one day green kryptonite might not hurt me. I just hope that i don't ever turn bad or lose my way.

Lana: Clark, that could never happen. You're the most pure-hearted, caring person i've ever meet. Plus, i'd never let it happen.

*She takes his hand, but he pulls away.*

Clark: That's another thing Lana, you won't always be around, I will! Kryptonians age slower than humans, most of them live well into their 100's. Not to mention with my exposure to the sun, i have no limitations on how far i can live. I DON'T WANT TO BE ALONE!

She said she experience the love of a man and that's where she developed emtions. She was also upset at Jor-el for being hard on me and always worried about me, she still does. She also told me how much, she envived the two most important women in my life, you and my mom. She was so happy that i found people who i could love and give the love she has for me.

Lana: I'm so happy you got to spend time with her, even cosidering the reason why you were there.

Clark: I'm glad to, i just wish i did it sooner.......I mean talked to them.

Lana: I know what you meant. Anyways, it's getting late.

*Clark still hadn't told her everything, but it was late and they needed some rest.*

Clark: You're right, let's get some sleep.

*Lana awakes first in Clark's arms and smiles.*

Lana: Clark, wake up.

*She strokes the hair out of his face and nodges.*

Clark: Hmmm? Oh, hey there.

Lana: Hey, it's morning.

Clark: Did you have a good time?

Lana: I had a great time, now i have work in the morning, so can we get back?

Clark: Absolutely, i also have to get my job back today. So let's go.

*He sweeps her off her feet and flies them back to Lana's apartment.*

Clark: This is your stop ma'am and i hope you enjoyed the ride.

*He said smiling.*

Lana: I did.

*She begins to go in her apartment.*

Clark: What? No tip?

Lana: I'm sorry.

*She kisses him passionately on the lips.*

Clark: Wow, maybe i should ask for tips more often.

Lana: Don't get any ideas.

*She kisses him again and walks into her apartment.*

Clark: Now to get my job back.

*He superspeeds to Chloe's first, dresses up in his suit and glasses then goes to the Daily Planet. Where everyone is in shock to see him there.*

Chloe: He's not in a good mood today Clark, be careful.

Clark: I'll do my best.

*He walks into Perry's office.*

Clark: Hello sir.

Perry: Do i know you? Oh yeah, you're the guy who walked out of his job for a year.

Clark: Yes, sadly that's me. I could go into detail about you, but frankly i don't think you care.

Perry: You were always good at knowing what people were thinking. Now can i help you?

Clark: Yeah, i kind of would like my job back, if it were at all possible.

*Perry Laughs.*

Perry: You think you can walk out for a year and expect your job back?

Clark: No, but i was hoping i could get it back anyways. I have a wife to support.

Perry: Son, i'm not here to give jobs out of pity.

Clark: I understand that, but i also understand that i'm one of the best you got or had.

Perry: That you were, but why should i give you your job back, after what you pulled?

Clark: Because it will never happen again and i'll make it up to you.

*Perry nods his head.*

Perry: Okay, but you're on a two week probation period, anything bad i hear about you and you're gone for good. Understand?

Clark: Yes, thanks you sir, i will never forget this.

Perry: You're welcome, now get to work.

Clark: I'm on it!

*He walks out happy as Chloe watches on.*

Chloe: Good to have you back Clark,

Clark: Good to be back.

*Scene shifts to LuthurCorp.*

Lex: What do you have for me?

Man: Just some pictures that might interest you.

Lex: Really, let me see them.

*He looks at the pictures as a smile appears over his face.*

*Hands the man money.*

*The man walks out as Lex is still looking at the pictures with a grin on his face.*

*Scene shifts back to the Daily Planet, where Clark just finished telling Chloe everything he told Lana plus something else.*

Chloe: You told Lana all this?

Clark: Yes, well, except for the last thing i told you.

Chloe: Why couldn't you tell her that?

Clark: Because it would hurt her.

Chloe: You don't that.

Clark: Yes i do, i know she feels about that subject.

Chloe: You still have to tell her.

Clark: I know.

*Clark is coming home from work early and see's something on Lana's front door step, he picks it up.*

Clark: Hmm, it's a package and it's from a friend. Wonder what it is.

*He opens it and contains pictures as Clark's eyes widened.*

Clark: What the hell is this?

*He crumbles up the paper from the package and as he stares at each picture with contempt. There is also a letter attached to the pictures.*

Dear Lana,
I wonder how Clark would feel if he saw these. If you don't him to see them, then i suggest you come by and see me.

Clark: I told you to stay away from them, i'll pay you a visit.

*Clark superspeeds to LuthurCorp as Lana walks in with a horrid look on her face as she sees the pictures.*

Lana: Oh no.

*Scene shifts to LuhturCorp.*

Lex: And i didn't go near them.

Clark: But you tried to blackmail her.

*He superspeeds back to Lana's apartment, Lana is sitting on her couch looking at the pictures of her and some unknown guys making love.*

Lana: I'm sorry i didn't tell you.

*He puts his head down and shakes it.*

Clark: How long ago where they taken?

Lana: Months ago.

Clark: What were you thinking? Why would you do that?

*Tears flowing her cheeks.*

Lana: Because i was heart broken, the man i loved was gone and i didn't know if he was ever coming back.

Clark: Why didn't you tell me?

Lana: I didn't tell you, because i knew you'd be upset and it might change the way you feel about me.

Clark: I am upset, i never though you would do something like that. It took us five years to get to that step. Come on Lana.

Lana: I'M SORRY, i forgot, you never made a mistake.

*She's getting upset as well.*

Clark: I know and the truth of the matter is, i do blame myself. If i didn't not trust you, then we'd already be married and you never would have done that. I'm sorry Lana, i'm sorry.

Lana: What?

*Lana's eyes filled with tears.*

Clark: My dad told me, that i can't have children with a human, because their body isn't strong enough to hold the baby.

Lana: Why didn't you tell me before?

Clark: Because i know how much you wanted to have a baby, to finally have a family to call your own. Just like you told me.

*Flashback*

*Clark and Lana are laying in bed together, in their recently bought house in Metropolis.*

Clark: Wow, that was nice.

*Lana smiles.*

Lana: It sure was.

*Lana stares off into space and Clark see's this.*

Clark: What's wrong?

Lana: Nothing, i was praying.

Clark: Praying for what?

Lana: A child.

Clark: A child? You want a child?

Lana: Yes, because it would finally complete what i have wanted for the longest time.

Clark: What's that.

Lana: A family.

Clark: A family?

Lana: Yeah, i never really had a family. My parents died early and as much as i liked living with Nell, we weren't a family. Seems to be the only thing that i was ever missing in my life. It's like the last part of me that needs to be completed.

Clark: Well, i can't promise anything, but that shouldn't stop us from trying.

*They kiss passionately, until they finally break a part.*

Lana: Clark, do you think we'd make good parents?

*Clark sits up and places his hand on her cheek.*

Clark: I think we would make great parents, because we would love our child.

Lana: Oh Clark.

*They kiss and make love throughout the night.*

Lana: I really do want a child of our own.

Clark: I know, but just because we can't make our own child doesn't mean we can't have our own. My parents weren't able to make their own child and they still had a son.

Clark: We actually haven't figured out all the details yet.

Martha: Well, why don't you have it here?

Clark: On the farm?

Martha: Yeah, why not?

Clark: I like it, tell flash to set everything, he's the best man and tell dad about our plans.

Martha: Okay, but you'll need to come here this week then.

Clark: Alright.

*Clark hangs.*

Clark: Lana, tell Chloe and Lois we're having the wedding at the farm.

She said that Lana Lang loved me and only me. So with this in mind i felt like I had to make it up to the girl i love. I went to her school today to surprise her for lunch.

*Lana's eyes begin to widened and water.*

Clark: When i went there, i saw this jerk's arm around her and then i saw him kiss her. At the same moment i felt my heart break and i have lost all feeling.

Lana: Clark, you don't know what you saw.

Clark: So now i'm a liar, WHY DON'T YOU EXPLAIN IT TO ME.

Lana: He put his arm around me, because i was crying over you. Then he forced kissed me and the second he did, i broke it a part, slapping him as hard as I could.

Clark: But it HAPPENED, what did you do to stop?

Lana: How could you think that? How could you think that i would do that?

Clark: Because I saw it with my own eyes. All the time you two spent together, how i could i think any different?

Lana: HOW? Because you know me Clark, i'm only in love with you.

Clark: That's what i thought.

Lana: Ok, if that's the way you feel and if you can't trust me.

*She takes off the engagement ring with tears running down her eyes and places it on the floor.*

Lana: Goodbye.

*Clark stares down at the engagement ring as Lana walks out the door.*

Chloe: And you got through them, your love was strong enough to survive all the trails that life put it through.

Martha: That's good, now remember, we're going to have the bachelor and bachelorette parties, then the rehersel dinner. Then finally the wedding.

*Jonathon puts his hand on his wife's hand.*

Jonathon: Don't worry dear, everything will be fine.

Martha: I hope so.

*Later that night Clark is up in his loft looking into space.*

Clark: I miss being up here.

*Lana walks in.*

Lana: So do I.

Clark: Hey, how was your day?

Lana: Fine, how about you?

Clark: Good.

*Clark continues to stare out into space.*

Lana: What's on your mind?

Clark: Nothing, just remembering all my time up here. Thinking about my destiny, my purpose and about you.

Lana: About me?

Clark: Yep, i remember using my telescope to look at you sitting your porch or just walking by.

Lana: That's cute Clark.

Clark: I remember that time, during our freshmen year when you were up here and i wanted to kiss you so bad. It was when Whitney was pushing you away, because of his dad's heart problems and I knew i could have had you, but i couldn't do it. It wouldn't have been right considering the situation.

Lana: I thought we were going to kiss that night too, i was kind of hoping for it and even though i found out why Whitney was pushing me away. A large part of me still wanted to go back up in the loft with you and kiss you. I couldn't figure out why you had pushed me away, even if it Whitney needed me, because i knew the feelings between us were real.

Clark: I spent a lot of my days up here wondering what happen between us during those years in high school. The first two years i was so afraid of you rejecting me, that i couldn't see you liked me. Then it finally happened, right here, we kissed for the first real time.

Lana: I remember our first real kiss here too, i think we spent an hour making out. It was perfect.

Clark: Yeah, but i also remember the last two years i spent here fighting with myself. How could i have let you slip away like i did. I knew i had to push you away, but i was so much in love with you. There were many times were, I actually cried and hated myself for doing that.

*Tears started to fill Clark's eyes as Lana interupted.*

Lana: What i remember most about the loft is telling you that I loved you. That when it was all on the line, you were the one i could trust and the one i loved. I one that i still love and will always love.

*They kiss passionately and then hug.*

Bart: What's great is, that they were like me. One of them could swim really fast, like he was a fish or something. Another one has this cool ring that had so much power, it could do anything. I think that club i told you about could come together any day now.

Clark: That's good to hear, i'm glad your life is coming together.

Bart: Yeah, all that's missing is that special girl.

*Clark and Bart sneak out, stand side by side on the long dirt road.*

Clark: On three.

Bart: 1, 2 and 3.

*They speed off with bart ahead by a little as Clark catches up, but Bart eventually pulls ahead and wins.*

Bart: And the winner and still champion, BART ALLEN.

Clark: Yeah Yeah Yeah, we'll meet again.

Bart: Can't wait.

*They smile at each other, then shake hands.*

Bachlorette Party

Lana: You girls did a miss job with this party.

Chloe: Why thank you, i couldn't have done it without Lois.

Lois: And we couldn't have done it without Mrs. Kent.

Mrs. Kent: It was a team effort.

Lana: Thank you all then, it's been fun, what should we do next?

Chloe: Let's just chat.

Lana: Sounds good.

Chloe: How does it feel to be the soon to be wife of Clark Kent?

Lana: Feels good, almost like a dream come true.

Martha: Sounds like both of you had the same dreams.

Lana: Really Mrs. Kent, i meam mom?

Martha: Oh yeah, did i ever tell you what Clark said to me after the first time he saw you?

Lana: No.

*Flashback*

*Martha and a young Clark go into their house hand in hand after doing some chorses.*

Martha: Now Clark, goes wash up before dinner.

Clark: Okay, but mom can i ask you something?

Martha: Sure sweety, what is it?

Clark: How do you know your in love?

Martha: Well, you don't know it honey, you feel it. It's something that comes from your heart when you see the person you love. Every time i see your father i feel that way, it's a kind of good, sweet feeling and it makes you feel great.

Clark: I think i'm in love then.

Martha: You're only five Clark.

Clark: I know, but i got that same feeling you were talking about when i saw Lana.

Martha: Okay sweetheart, i believe you.

Clark: I'm going to marry her some day, just like you married dad.

Martha: And when you do Clark, we'll have the wedding right here. Now until then, go wash up for dinner.

*A young Clark runs away giddy as Martha can't help but smile at her young son.*

*End of flashback.*

Lana: That was beautiful Mrs. Kent.

Martha: The surprising part for me was that he believed in it so much.

Lana: Sounds like Clark to me.

Marth: I'm so happy it came true.

Lois: I still think the party would have been better with some male strippers.

*They all stare at Lois and then laugh.*

Chloe: Lois, you sure do know how to ruin a moment.

Lois: What kind i say? It runs in the family, why do you think you're a reporter?

Chloe: Very funny.

Lois: I thought so.

*They all laugh again.*

Bart: What's great is, that they were like me. One of them could swim really fast, like he was a fish or something. Another one has this cool ring that had so much power, it could do anything. I think that club i told you about could come together any day now.

I'm guessing the first refers to Aquaman? and... the second ??? Whose the person with the ring?

Lana: What is it? What's wrong?

Clark: Nothing's wrong, i just want to take you some where.

Lana: Now? Where?

Clark: It's a surprise, come on.

*She starts to get up, but he stops her.*

Clark: It's okay, we'll fly there.

*He picks her up and they fly to Crater Lake.*

Clark: We're here

Lana: What are we doing here this late?

Clark: I was hoping we could fulfill a dream of mine and seeing as how we're already here in Smallville. I thought why not?

Lana: A dream of yours, what dream?

Clark: Remember when that girl Sara came into my dreams?

Lana: Yes.

Clark: Yeah, well, when she did, i was having a dream about you and me skinny dipping in Crater Lake. We almost kissed, but we were interupted by Sara.

Lana: Oh, so you really did still love me then, even when you said you didn't?

Clark: Yes, i did still love you.

Lana: Ok, seeing as how it's one of your dreams. I guess i can give you an early wedding present.

*Clark smiled as Lana began to take off her clothes.*

Clark: WOW.

Lana: Now come and get me if you want that kiss.

*She dived into the water as Clark stripped down and dove in.*

Lana: Come on Clark, can't you catch me?

*He superspeeds right to her.*

Lana: Cheater.

*They get move closer to each other.*

Lana: I always said there should be nothing us.

Clark: And i always hoped there wouldn't.

*They kissed so passionately, like it was their first kiss.*

Lana: See Clark, dreams can come true.

Clark: I know mine did, but what's your dream.

Lana: My dream is marry the love of my life and have a family with him.

Clark: I'll do my best to make that dream come true.

*They kiss throughout the night.*

*Scene shifts to the loft, where Bart is reading a paper that Mr. Kent gave him.*

Bart: Clark sure does have a way with words.

*Flashback.*

Clark: I've been looking through every book from Socrates to Shakespeare, trying to find someone who could put into words the way Lex and Helen feel about each other. But what I realized is, there are no words for it. And when you have it you trust it, and you believe in it. [He looks at Lana.] Take a chance on it. And you're willing to sacrifice anything to keep it no matter what the cost. [Clark picks up his glass.] To Helen and Lex.

*End of Flashback.*

Bart: How am i suppose to come with something even close to as good as that.

*Lois walks in.*

Lois: Hey, what are you doing up here so late?

Bart: Just working on a speech for the dinner tomorrow night.

Lois: Tough to find the words to describe love.

Bart: Yeah.

Lois: Listen to your heart, i'm sure it will help you find the right words.

Bart: Thanks.

*Lois begins to walk away, but Bart stops her.*

Bart: Umm Lois?

Lois: Yeah.

Bart: I was wondering if you'd want to be my date for the wedding.

*Surprised by the question.*

Lois: I don't think we're right for each other. Plus the age difference, it wouldn't be right.

Jonathon: Apparently, they snuck out last night. I saw them sneaky in at 5 in the morning and they looked wet.

Bart: OHHH, i know what they did.

Chloe: Spill it speedy.

*Everyone looks confused at Bart.*

Bart: They went skinny dipping, come on.

Martha: So is everyone prepared for the rehersel dinner tonight?

Bart: Clark and Lana are two truly special people. They showed me what love is and what's suppose to be. Love doesn't require you to be the same.

*He looks at Lois.*

Bart: Love is a special feeling you have for a person, something that can never be taken away or go away. Love is something worth fighting for, until the very end. Love is something worth getting up for everytime someone knocks you down.

*Lana squeezes Clark's hand.*

Bart: Love is the most powerful thing in the world, especially when it is shared between two special individuals. Clark and Lana are what love is suppose to be. I thank them for being around to show me.

*He raises his glass.*

Bart: To Clark and Lana.

Everyone: To Clark and Lana.

*Everyone drinks as Clark and Lana kiss. Then Lana and Clark stand up, congradulating Bart on his speech.*

Clark: That was great man.

Bart: Thanks.

*They hug.*

Lana: It was beautiful Bart.

*She kisses him on the cheek and then they all sit down.*

*After everyone finishes eating, Chloe hits her glass lightly.*

Chloe: Everyone, may i have your attention please?

*Chloe stands up and everyone turns their attention to Chloe.*

Chloe: I also would like to say something about the bride and groom.

*Chloe takes a deep breath.*

Chloe: Some people are just meant to be together, that's exactly how i feel about Clark and Lana. Through all the tough times, through all the pain, the secrets and the lies, they fought to be together. There were times when it seemed like they were falling a part, only to come together once again.

*Chloe pauses.*

Chloe: Life is always testing us, always trying to push us and make us stronger. I believe that and i also believe that it test for a reason. It always tested Clark and Lana, testing their love for each other. Even though it tested them to the limit, they would always pass, because that's how much they loved each other. One can only hope to find someone like Clark and Lana have. A person that will always love you and be there for you.

*Chloe tears up.*

Chloe: Clark and Lana are my very best friends. I am so happy for them and know their marriage will survive anything. To Clark and Lana.

*Everyone reaises their glasses and drinks. As Clark and Lana stand up.*

Lana: Great speech Chloe.

*They hug.*

Clark: That was awesome Chloe.

*He kisses her on the cheek and they hug.*

*Lois walks up to Bart.*

Lois: Hey.

*The Day of the wedding, Lana awakes without Clark.*

Lana: Did he get up early?

*She walks downstairs and see's him there.*

Lana: Why'd you wake up early?

Clark: I had to pick up a guest.

*Clark smile as Nell walks in.*

Lana: Aunt Nell!

*They hug.*

Lana: But how?

Nell: Clark flew me over.

*She looks surprisingly at Clark.*

Clark: Well, she is part of the family.

Nell: Don't worry, i won't tell a soul. I'm very happy for both of you and wouldn't have missed this for the world.

Lana: I'm so happy you're here.

*They hug again.*

Clark: Call it an early wedding present from me.

Lana: Well, then i guess i'll have to reward you during the honeymoon.

*She winks at Clark and kisses him on the cheek.*

*Scene shifts to the highway outside of Smallville.*

First man: We're going to be late.

Second man: Don't worry sir, we're going to make it.

First man: I don't want to miss this, not for the world.

*Scene shifts later in the day, Clark, Jonathon and Bart are putting on their tux, minutes away from the wedding.*

Bart: You ready man?

Clark: I've been waiting for this moment my entire life.

Jonathon: So have I?

Clark: You have?

Jonathon: Off course, it's a father's dream to see his son get married to the girl of his dreams and since that day is here i got a present for you.

*He pulls a pocket knife out his pocket.*

Jonathon: My father gave me this before my wedding, it's a sign of maturing and growing up.

Clark: Thanks dad.

Jonathon: You're welcome, now good luck.

Bart: Let's do this.

*Scene shifts to the girls room, where Nell, Lana, Chloe and Lois are.*

Chloe: Lana you look great.

Lana: Thanks Chloe.

Nell: Your mother would be so happy for you. I remember her telling me how much she wanted to see her child get married to the person they love.

*Lana starts to tear up.*

Nell: Now don't cry on me and mess up your makeup. Your mother is still proud of you as she watches over you, the same with your father and they would want me to give you this.

*Nell talks a braclet out of her pocket.*

Nell: This was what your mother wore during her wedding, she would want you to have it.

Lana: Thanks, i love it.

Chloe: Time to go.

Lana: Let's do this.

*They all walk out of the room to outside where a beautiful wedding is set up, except for Lana and Nell. It's a small wedding, about 100 people, 50 white chairs on each side separating the aisle and a small piano where Mrs. Kent is. A large display of flowers next to the alter where the reverend is standing. *

Jonathon: Ms. Sullivan.

Chloe: Mr. Kent.

*They walk down the aisle together and take their position.*

Bart: Lois.

Lois: Bart.

*They walk down the aisle together, rather comfortably and with big smiles. They take their position.*

Clark: Here i go.

*Clark walks down the aisle, people taking pictures all around him, as he looks around and walks to the playing piano of his mother. He also notices about eight or nine men who kind of look out of place, but he shakes it off and takes his spot.*

Clark: Who the heck are they? Oh well.

*Martha plays the traditional music to the bride walking down the aisle as Lana and Nell come down.*

Clark: She looks unbelieveable.

*They come to the alter.*

Reverend: Who gives away with woman?

Nell: I do.

*Nell places Clark and Lana's hand together as they join hands.*

Reverend: Ladies and gen....

*Before the reverend can finish one man with black hair and a black stands up right to next to Bart. He knocks him out with a gun and Clark turns around.*

Clark: Bart!

*He grabs the man and then the other 7 man get up, taking out their guns.*

Man: Put him down.

Clark: Or what?

Man: We'll shoot.

Clark: Try it.

Man: Okay.

*One of the men shoots Clark in the chest and falls to the ground.*

Lana: CLARK!

*Lana runs to his side as blood comes from Clark's chest and one of the men removes his whigs.*

Lex: I always come prepared, green k bullets.

*Lex, then grabs Lana and sticks the gun in her face.*

Lex: Tie the fast one up, keep your guns in their faces.

*He points to Jonathon, Lois and Chloe who are all in shock as well as tears.*

One of the men: What about him.

*Pointing to Clark.*

Lex: He's finished now, just let him die. Now, you all came for a wedding didn't you? So let's have one.

*He grabs Lana and heads to the alter.*

Lana: I'll never marry you.

Lex: Oh no?

*He then pulls Lana back to Clark and puts his gun right at Clark's head.*

Lex: Then i'll kill him, then Chloe, Lois, the Kents, aunt Nell and everyone else.

*Lana looks down at Clark, tears in her eyes.*

Lex: Look at him, with all his powers i could end his life right now.

Lana: I'll.....marry......y....you.

Lex: That's more like it, now let's get to it.

*He brings Lana back to the alter and points the gun toward the Reverend.*

Lex: Start talking Reverend.

*Clark is deseperately trying to get up and Lex turns to him.*

*He kicks Clark in the face and falls back to the ground.*

Lana: LEAVE HIM ALONE.

Lex: hahah, okay, we have a wedding to finish anyways. Get on with it old man.

Reverend: If there is anyone who can give rightfully cause as to why this two shouldn't be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.

*Lex turns to his men and then points, at Lois, Chloe, the Kents and Bart who is tied up.*

Lex: Shoot anyone of them if they object to this marriage.

Men: Right Boss.

*Clark is still trying to get up, blood coming from his chest.*

Lex: You don't learn, do you Clark, you just keep trying to get up. Don't you see? You lost!

*He kicks him again and Lana runs to his side, whispers to him.*

Lana: Please stay down, please.

*Tears running down her cheek.*

Lex: Come on.

*Lex drags her back to the alter and she mouths to Clark.*

*Scene shifts to a car pulling into the Kent drive way, no one at the wedding notices it.*

Bruce: Are we late?

Alfred: I don't think so, look.

*Bruce turns his attention toward the wedding, where he see's Lex and seven other men with guns in their hands.*

Bruce: Did we bring the suit?

Alfred: Always do.

Bruce: Get it, quickly.

*Scene shifts back the wedding.*

Lana: I....I.....

Lex: Say it!

Lana: I....

Lex: SAY IT!

*Lex goes to Clark who is now passed out because of the pain.*

Lex: I'll kill him and make sure he's dead. Now say it!

*Lana looks at Clark, then at everyone else, she knew she had no choice. She had to save Clark and everyone else, even if she had to sacrifice herself.*

*Just then a ball of smoke appears throughout the wedding.*

Lex: What the hell is going on?

*The smoke disappears minutes later and all of Lex's men are laid out.*

Batman: Hope i'm not late for the wedding.

Lex: Who the hell are you?

Batman: Just a friend of the groom and not the one standing in front of me. Now let her go.

*Takes Lana by the neck and shoves the gun in her face.*

Lex: How about no?

Batman: There's no where to go Lex, you won't make it out of here.

Lex: Oh, but i think i will and she's coming. Now i suggest you back up, before you lose two friends today.

*Batman notices a very hurt Clark and could see he was very badly hurt.*

Batman: Don't do it.

Lex: I won't if you step away.

*Just as Lex and Batman are talking, Lois unties Bart.*

Lois whisper to Bart: Get him.

*Bart superspeeds right into Lex knocking the gun away and then Batman shoots a net around Lex.*

Batman: Nice job man and you are?

Bart: Name is Bart, but my friends call me the flash.

Batman: I can see why.

*Chloe runs to Batman.*

Chloe: I'm so glad your here.

Batman: I couldn't miss this, not for the world. He'll talk later, okay?

Chloe: Okay.

*Lana rushes to Clark, followed by the Kents and everyone else.*

Lana: He's not breathing!

Jonathon: We have to get the bullet out, get him into the house.

*They carry Clark into the house.*

Martha: He's lost so much blood Jonathon.

Jonathon: I know, but we need to get that bullet out. I need my tools.

Batman: Maybe i can help with that.

*He hands Mr. Kent a tool to get the bullet out.*

Jonathon: Come on son.

*Lana is holding Clark's hand and brushing his hair back.*

Lana: Please, please come back to me.

Jonathon: It's so deep.

Martha: Can you get it?

Jonathon: I got it!

*He pulls out the green bullet.*

Jonathon: Get this thing out of here.

*Clark still isn't coming to.*

Lana: He's still not breathing.

Martha: Jonathon, it isn't healing!

Jonathon: This goes against all my instincts, but we need to get him to the hospital, now.

*Clark is rushed to Smallville Medical Center, Lana and the Kents rode in the Ambulance. Everyone else stayed back at the Kent's house, they had to take care of the guests as well as the unwelcomed guests.*

Lana: Doctor, how is Clark?

Doctor: He's lost a lot of blood, but has regained a pulse.

Lana: That's great, he'll be okay?

Doctor: He'll be fine. We'll just need to keep him here overnight for observation.

*Lana turns to the Kents.*

Lana: Why don't you two go home.

Martha: But what about you? You need to rest.

Lana: I'm staying with him.

Martha: But Lan...

Jonathon: Okay, just call us if anything happens.

Lana: I will.

*The Kents walk out.*

Martha: Jonathon, why did you do that?

Jonathon: Martha, Lana is his wife now or soon to be. She's the one who's taking care of him now. He'll be fine.

Martha: You're right, but i'm still his mom.

Jonathon: Yes you are and a great one. Which is why you're going to step aside and let Lana take your place.

Martha: Okay, i couldn't have chosen anyone better.

*They smile and walk out.*

*Scene shifts to the Kent house, where Chloe, Lois, Bart and the changed Bruce Wayne are.*

Bruce: The Kents called and said Clark will be fine. They're coming back home and said Lana is spending the night with Clark.

Chloe: That's great news.

Bruce: It is.

Chloe: I'm so glad you came.

Bruce: So am I.

*They stare into each other's eyes, Bart and Lois watch from a far.*

Bart: Aren't they cute.

Lois: They are, but if he hurts her again, i'm going to hurt him.

*Bart kisses her on the cheek.*

Bart: I love that attitude of yours.

Lois: That's why i like you.

*They share a small kiss as Bruce and Chloe walk outside together.*

Chloe: So, what's going to happen to Lex?

Bruce: He's going back to jail, this time for good. I'll personally make sure of it.

Chloe: That's great, so what do you want to talk about?

Bruce: Us and what happen last time.

Chloe: Oh.

Bruce: I made a mistake pushing you out of my life. So, i'm going to take a play out of the Clark Kent playbook and ask you to marry me.

Chloe: For real this time? You're going to back out?

Bruce: No, this is the real thing. I promise.

*She kisses him.*

Chloe: I accept then.

Bruce: Great.

*Scene shifts to the Smallville Medical Center, in Clark's room.*

Lana: Hey honey.

*Clark is still unconscious.*

Lana: You look so pale, but the doctors say you'll be fine.

*She stands beside the bed and brushes his hair back.*

Lana: I'm going to spend the night with you and won't leave until you do. I think i'll get comfortable.

*She carefully slides onto the bed and places herself right under Clark's arms.*

Lana: I always feel safe here, i just hope i can give you the same comfort.

*She falls asleep in his arms.*

*Clark starts to stir in his bed and then opens his opens.*

Clark: WHAT? Where?

*Clark looks around wondering where he is and what happened.*

Clark: LANA!

*Lana awakes.*

Lana: I'm right here Clark.

*He hugs her tightly.*

Clark: You're okay.

Lana: Yeah, but i won't be if you keep hugging me tighter.

*Clark loosens his hold.*

Clark: Sorry, what happen?

Lana: An old friend saved the day.

Clark: Bruce came?

Lana: Yep and in time to save the day.

Clark: Great, i don't know what i would have done if you had to marry Lex.

Lana: I wasn't concerned about that, Clark. I was concerned about your life.

*She turns away.*

Lana: You almost died.

*Clark nods and then turns her around to face him.*

Clark: But i didn't.

*Lana's shaking her head.*

Lana: What if you did? What if this what it's going to be like in the future? Visiting hopsitals, sitting at home, praying that you come home alive.

*Lana lowers her head.*

Clark: Lana.

*He picks her up with his hand.*

Clark: This is my life and it's a dangerous one. The only thing that keeps me from staying down when i get hurt, is you. No matter what happens, i will always come home to you.

*He kisses her tenderly.*

Lana: You promise?

Clark: I promise, now let's go home.

*Doctor walks in.*

Doctor: Mr. Kent, you're awake.

Clark: Yeah and i'm going home.

Doctor: Maybe you lay down and allows to exam you before leaving. You lost a lot of blood and almost died.

Clark: I'm fine and i have a wedding to finish.

Doctor: It's your choice.

Clark: Thank you doctor.

*Clark and Lana leave.*

*Scene shifts to Kent house.*

Nell: Is Clark alright Martha?

Martha: Yes, he and Lana are coming now.

Nell: Are we postponing the wedding?

Martha: I wanted to, but they insisted we don't and have the wedding tonight.

Nell: Sounds good to me and i also wanted to thank you.

Martha: Thank me for what?

Nell: Being supportive and like a mother to Lana. I really appreciate that.

Martha: It's okay, i always wanted a daughter and she's like a daughter me.

*Clark and Lana arrive, Lana in Clark's arms.*

Martha: I see you're feeling better.

Clark: I am.

*They hug.*

Martha: I was so worried about you, sweetheart.

*Everyone else enters.*

Chloe: Clark!

Lois: Smallville!

*They both hug Clark.*

Clark: Glad to see both of you too.

Bart: Hey man, you're tougher than even i thought.

Clark: Thanks, i heard you helped save the day. I knew i must be rubbing off on you.

*They laugh.*

*Clark see's Bruce.*

Clark: I didn't think you'd make it.

Bruce: Well, i couldn't miss a friend's wedding. Especially a friend, like Clark Kent.

Bruce: Nothing you wouldn't have done for me.

Bruce: I just wanted you to make your wedding, thats all.

Clark: Speaking of wedding, did you do it?

*He grins at Bruce.*

Bruce: I did, me and Chloe are getting married.

Lana: That's great.

*Lana hugs Chloe.*

Clark: Terrific, but does that mean Chloe is leaving?

Chapter 43:

*The wedding was all set up again, flowers placed in their spots, everyone took their seats. Clark and Lana stood there together, arm in arm. With Chloe, Lois, Bart and Mr. Kent on their respective sides. Martha had taken a seat right next to Nell, Bruce and Alfred sat next to each other with a smile on their face.*

Reverend: We are joined here yet again in the presence of God, to join Clark and Lana in holy Matrimony. Marriage is a joining for two people who care deeply for each other, a sacred bond, that is as strong as steel.

*Chloe and Bruce are exchanging looks.*

Reverend: Clark and Lana have each wrote wedding vows, that they would like to share with each other and all of us. Clark will go first.

*Clark takes a deep breath, takes out his paper with his vows on it with hand and takes Lana's hand with his other hand.*

Clark: All my life, i've never quite known everything about myself or who I am. I guess you could say that my life was a complete mystery to me and it was. It's like everyday i would wake up and not know what today would bring me. I would always get mad at that and wonder why i can't understand who I am. There were days that i thought people knew me, better than I knew myself. Nothing would make sense and it seem like I was just one big piece to a jigsaw puzzle. The ONLY THING, that i was ever sure about was you. The ONLY THING, that i ever knew was how I felt about you. That was the one thing in my life that never changed to me or i was confused about. I knew how I felt about you, since the first day I saw you. That's when i knew there was no other girl for me, but you. That no matter what happened in my life, i could always count on you. When life became too much for me, you were always there to place your hand on mine and tell me to get up, because you loved me. Lana Lang, you are my heart and my soul, nothing means more to me than you. I love you more than life itself.

*Clark takes another breath, giving Lana a smile as her eyes tear up.*

Reverend: Lana will now read her wedding vows.

*Lana clears her throat after being a little choked up and takes a big breath, then takes out her paper and reads.*

Lana: Before I went to high school, i pretty much knew what my life was about. I was the cheerleader girlfriend of the high school starting quarterback at Smallville high. My life was good, but i always felt like there was something missing. Then it happened, i met this boy, who i had always known, but not never really knew. As the year went on it, i began to get to know him better and better. Even though i had a boyfriend, i could feel myself falling in love with him. There was something about him, something that made me feel special when i was with him and made me feel complete. But I couldn't understand a part of him, he kept that a mystery to me. I spent three years confused about our relationship, three years wondering how two people who love each other could do this to each other. So, I tried moving on, i went to Paris, but again I was drawn back to him. I tried dating other people, but I knew that I would always love him. I learned a lesson, you can't run away from love, even when it gets hard. That's when i decided to tell him that i did love him, even though we had been through so much and i did. Not too long after that, he let me in, told me everything and i accepted it. i accepted it, because he is the man of my dreams and the thing that completes me. Nothing in the world could ever stop me from being there for him and loving him. I am in love with Clark Kent, he is my one and only.

*Lana looks up slowly after reading to see Clark smiling at her. Mrs. Kent is also drying her tears and as is Chloe.*

Reverend: Is there anyone here who has rightful cause as to why this two should not be wed? Speak now or forever hold your peace.

*No one says anything.*

Reverend: If that is the case, then Clark and Lana will now present each other their wedding rings. While they are doing this I will read the words they will say and they will repeat them, then place the ring on their wedding partner. Clark will be first.

*Clark takes out his wedding ring.*

Reverend: I Clark, take Lana Lang to be my wife, through sickness and health. Through rich and poor. Until death do us part, as long as we both we shall live.

Clark: I Clark, take Lana Lang to be my wife, through sickness and health. Through rich and poor. Until death do us part, as long as we both we shall live.

*Clark places the ring on Lana's finger.*

*She places the ring on his finger.*

Reverend: Before God and all the witnesses before us, i pronouce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.

*Clark slowly leans down, placing his hand on her cheek and kisses her passionately on the lips. They stay there for a few minutes longer, then they go down the aisle hand in hand. They are followed by Chloe and Jonathon. Then by Lois and Bart, all of them smiling brightly.*

Chapter 44:

*Wedding reception, everyone is awaiting Clark and Lana to cut the cake.*

"Alright, here we go everyone." Says Clark, while he and Lana cut the cake. They each grab a piece of cake and feed it to each other than kiss. "Mmmm, maybe we should try this more often, Lana." Lana smiles at him and kisses him again as everyone cheers. "Don't worry Clark, we'll have a lot of fun during the honeymoon, kissing while eating food will only be one of those things." Clark raises both his eyebrows than grins.

*Bruce raises his glass.*

"Can i have everyone's attention? I would like to make a toast to both Clark and Lana. Two great people and friends. I also would like to announce to them, that they will be given a free trip via private plane to a place of their choice. That is any where in the world they choice to go." Clark and Lana looked shocked. "And one last time, to Clark and Lana."

*Everyone raises their glass and drinks. Clark and Lana then have their special dance.*

Clark takes both her hands and they dance. "You know Lana, this is the way it should be." Lana looks at him, "No Clark it isn't." Clark looks down at her surprised, then she puts her head on his chest and places his hands around her waist. "This is the way it should be Clark." Clark smiles back, "I can't argue with that."

*They dance to the song of "You and Me". Hours later they board Bruce's private plane."

Clark and Lana wave goodbye to everyone, "Bye guys, thanks for everyone." They take a last look at everyone, then get on the plane as everyone waves goodbye. Clark sits down and motions Lana to sit on his lap, she does. Clark then asks, "So honey, where do you want to go?" Lana thinks for a little bit, then she answers, "How about Paris?". Clark looks shocked and taken off guard. Then replies, "Paris? Why Paris, you've already been there." Lana then smiles and looks deeply into his eyes. "But I haven't been there with you." She pulls Clark into a deep passionate kiss. "Besides Clark, last time I was there all i did was enjoy the sites of Paris." Clark then replies, "And this time." Lana flashes him a huge grin, "And this time all i want to do is enjoy the inside of the hotel room." Clark grins wider than Lana did, "My thinking exactly, i don't plan on leaving the hotel room." They kiss again and again, they would kiss the whole plane ride to Paris.

*Clark and Lana arrive in the love suit, that Bruce had provided them.*

Clark looked ayed at the room, it was huge. It also had a huge bed that Clark took his liking. Lana then saw the room, threw her bags down and jumped on the bed. "Wow, it's a water bed, i've always wanted one of these." Clark laughs as Lana continues jumping on it. Lana notices, "Mr. Kent, i wouldn't laugh, otherwise you won't get your present." Clark stops laughing and questions her, "What present woould that be?" She winks at him and then gets off the bed.

*She takes off her dress exposing a very thin bra and thong.*

Clark Almost fates at the site of how beautiful she is. Clark can't even talk, "Ummm......Ahhh.....Uh...". Lana laughs at this, "I knew you would love your present." She then goes up to him and nibbles on his ear, taking his hand and brings him to bed.

*Clark and Lana would then have sex, until finally they took a break."

Lana rolled over and seemed a little depressed. Clark noticed this and rubbed her arm. "It's the kids thing isn't it?". Clark could always tell what she was thinking and this time it was no different. "I just want a family so badly and it's just almost complete. You're my husband and i couldn't be more gratful, but i want kids Clark." Clark sits up and looks upset with himself. Lana then places her head on his and kisses his hand. "Don't in anyway blame yourself Clark, if i can't have kids with you, then i wouldn't want to have them with anyone else." Clark smiles and then it fades, "But I want you to have that family, there must be a way. Maybe we can talk to someone, a scientist or Jor-el." Lana looks hopefully at him, "Yeah, talk to Jor-el, he can do something." They then kiss and decide that's what they want to do.

Chapter 1 "The New Life":

After their honeymoon, Clark and Lana went to back Metropolis brought a house with a little help from Bruce. It was a beautiful white two story house and it had a porch by Lana's request. It took about a week or so for Clark and Lana to more all their stuff in. Then, about another week for them to make the house the way they liked it.

*Clark and Lana sit with each other on the porch."

They hold each other's hand, sitting there silently until Lana spoke. "Are you going to see Jor-el tomorow?" Clark looked at her asuringly, "As soon as I get up." Lana smiled brightly, "Great". She then kissed him on the cheek, "That was for luck." Clark grin, "Well i think i could use some more luck". He then kissed her sweetly on the lips. They slowly broke their kiss, "That enough luck for you." She asked smiling, he grinned back, "No, i think i'm running short." He leaned back in and they kissed again, not wanting to break it.

Clark would then pick up Lana and bring into their room. Kissing her passionately on their bed and whispering, "I love you." Lana whispered back, "I love you too."

The next day, Clark would wake up early. He couldn't sleep, because he knew the answers he to the questions he would ask Jor-el today. Clark would stay there staring at Lana, laying peacefully in their bed and he wanted more than anything to give her a family. What if he couldn't give her a family he thought. How could he prevent her from having something she deserves? He had to do something, maybe he could convince Jor-el to help them. He gave his wife one last kiss on the cheek and left.

Clark would arrive minutes later, at a place that kind of felt like home to him. It was his FOS, the place where he came when life got tough and he needed to think. Clark then yelled, "JOR-EL, WE NEED TO TALK." The place then became quiet, until heard Jor-el's voice, "Yes my son?" Clark was afraid to ask, "You know why i'm here?" Jor-el replied "Yes I do and I can't help you." Clark replied quickly, "Why not?". "My son, it is not your decision." Clark was surprised, "Not my decision?". "No my son, it isn't your decision." Clark didn't know what to say, how can't it be his decision. Jor-el then spoke again, "Kal-el my son, it isn't meant to happen. She is a human and you are not. If I could help you I would, but there's no way for me to help this happen. I am sorry my son." Clark stood there in sadness, how was he going to tell Lana this? He had to think of something before going home.

*Back home.*

Lana awakes and then looks around for Clark. "He must have left" she said to herself. She then got dresses and made some coffee. Then there's a knock at the door, "Wonder who that is." Lana whispered. "Hello, Lana? Clark? It's Chloe." Lana smiled and walked to the door, "Hey Chloe." They hug, "So how was the honeymoon. Lana smiles remembering, "It was great." Chloe starts giggling, "Something tells me you never left the bedroom. Lana blushes, "Well, we did go out to eat once." Then Chloe ask, "So where's Clark?". Lana answers kind of hesitantly, "He's talking to his father." "That's good, how are the kents." Lana replied quickly, "Not that father." Chloe gives her a surprising look, "Jor-el?" Lana nods, "Yeah, i asked him to." Now looks at Lana strangly, "Why?". Lana walks back to the kitchen counter, then says, "Because I want to have kids." Chloe gives an "Oh" type face, "You think you can?" Lana looked hopeful, "I don't know, but i'm really hoping we can." Chloe, puts her arm around Lana, "I'm sure it will work out." They share a hopeful look, then Lana asks, "What am i going to do without you?" Chloe then replies, "I'll miss you too Lana, can't believe i'm going to have to start over again." Lana then puts her arm around Chloe, "Well, we'll always be here for you if you need us. We'll be just a call away." They embrace tightly, then Chloe slowly pulls away, "I better leave, so you can prepare for Clark." They hug again and then Chloe leaves.

*Clark arrive outside of the house an hour later with a red rose in hand.*

"Okay, how am i going to do this?" He thought for a moment later, then decided to walk in.

Chapter 2:

Clark walked into the house, kind of cautiously. Lana see's him walk in and smiles brightly, "How'd it go?" She said cheerfully. Clark eyes wondered from her and her cheerful face faded. "Clark, how'd it go?" She said now almost slowly and in a whisper. Clark looked her in the eyes, "Her you go." He handed her the rose he got and she smelled it. "Thanks." Now she was even more worried of his answer, knowing how Clark likes to give her roses during bad times.

*Clark takes a deep breath.*

"Jor-el said there was nothing he could do to help us." Lana faced turned sour and turned away from Clark. He places his hand on her arm, sensing on how bad she felt right now. "He told me, that it wasn't my decision." Lana looks at him, now with angry in her face. "How could it not be your decision, this is our lives! How dare me he make this choice for us." She was now yelling and crying at the time. Clark went right up to her and wrapped his arms around her. She rested her head in his chest, trying to calm down.

*Clark pull her out a little bit and looked her right in the eyes.*

"Listen Lana, if you really want this, then nothing should stop us from trying." Her kissed her lightly on the lips, wiping off her tears with his thumb. Clark then spoke again, "I wish that book I read when I was a kid was true. That we could create our son with love." Lana couldn't help but smile at that, "But it's not that way Clark, we're just not the same at least genetically." Clark nodded sadly, "Yeah, i wish you were kryptonian." He said with a small laugh and then Lana gave him a strange look. "Sorry Lana, i didn't mean it that way. I love you anyways, doesn't matter what species you are. They embraced again tightly, Lana still had a strange look on her face. "Clark, I think i'm going to go for a ride. Just to clear my head." They kiss and then Lana left.

*Lana would drive all the way to Smallville, to the Kent's house.*

Lana knocked on the door and Mrs. Kent answered. "Lana, what are you doing here?" They hug, "I just wanted to talk to you Mrs. Kent." Martha seemed a little surprised, "Really? About what?" Both of them sat down, "I wanted to ask you how it felt not have any real kids of your own." The subject really caught Martha off guard. "Well Lana, it was very tough, until Clark came along. I always wanted a little kid of my own, it felt like a little piece of my heart was missing." Lana nodded, seemingly making a decision from Mrs. Kent's words. "Where's the key, mom?" Martha looked completely shocked, "Why do you need it? Is there anything wrong with Clark?" Lana shaked her head, "There's nothing wrong with Clark. I just want to talk to Jor-el." Martha raises her eyebrows curiously, "You want to talk to Jor-el? About what?" Lana took a breath, "About this same subject." Martha began to put the pieces together, "You want him to get you pregnant?" Lana nodded her head, "Something like that." Martha seemed worried, "Lana I want you to be careful. Jor-el isn't someone you want to fool around with, especially when it comes to your body parts." Lana is a little worried as well, "I know, but I don't have a choice this time." Martha understood and stood up, "Let's go then."

*Both Lana and Martha get up, they go the barn.*

Martha takes out a box and unlocks it. "Here you go." She hands Lana the key. Then puts her hand on Lana's shoulder, "Just remember, be careful." They hug, "I will, thank you." Lana walks away, holding her stomach, clearly afraid as Martha stands also worried of what might happen.

Lana drove to the caves, then walked in and placed the key in the slot. Lights filled the cave and then a voice came spoke, "I never thought i'd see you here, Lana." It was a female voice and Lana seemed confused. "I suppose you were expecting Jor-el." Lana nodded her head, "I was." The voice replied, "I thought i'd do the honor of speaking to the love of Kal-el, my name is Lara." Lana seemed less worried now, "Clark's biological mother?" "Yes Lana, I am."

Chapter 2:

Lana was kind of taken a back by this. She was expecting Jor-el, she was prepared for Jor-el, not Lara. Clark had told her about Lara once, but he would always mention Jor-el. She held her breath not knowing what to expect. "Lana, what brings you into the caves? Especially without my son?" Lana gets her composured back together and begins.

"I need help or I need a favor. Basically, I need your help and you're the only ones who can give it." Lana took a deep breath, kind or relieved to get that request out.

There's silence of a second, "You want to have a baby?" Lana nods her head, "I want a child more than anything. It is my dream." Lara replied sadly, "I'm sorry Lana, I can't help you." Lara was different from Jor-el, she was mother and cared deeply for Clark as well as everyone he loved. A bond that can only be shared between a mother and her son.

"I DON'T BELIEVE THAT!" Lana yelled, not willing to give up, not without a fight. Lara spoke again in a warm, emtional way, "Lana, you and Kal-el aren't the same physically. The baby won't survive, some people have to live without a child. I did."

Lana is still not accepting her answers, "I don't accept that, I know you can help. You're just holding out on me. There has to be a way." There's a long silence after Lana speaks, almost as if Lara is making up her mind. Lara finally speaks, "If you were to have Kal-el's powers, you could have the baby."

Lana sense hope, knowing Lara could make this happen. Clark had told her how Jor-el gave Mr. Kent powers to bring Clark home from Metropolis three years ago.. "Can you give me the power, Just like Jor-el did to Mr. Kent?"

"Yes I can Lana."

Lana smiled brightly, thinking she did the right thing to come here ask for their help. "Okay, then please give to me, so i can have a baby. I knew it was right for to me see you, you really do care about us."

"Lana there's more."

Lana now seemed confused, what did she mean? "What do you mean there's more?"

"Lana, there's consequences for every action we take. There is no easy solution or price we might have to pay for the decisions we make."

Now not only was Lana confused, but kind of afraid of what Lara was talking about. "I don't understand, what are you trying to tell me?"

"Lana, if I give you the power and you have it for as long a time as you need to have a baby...." Lara stopped speaking for a second, "You could die, there's no telling how the human body will react. This is especially true when i have remove your powers, dying is not out of the question."

Lana stood there afraid, a little surprised, but also knowing she expected this. She knew going to Clark biological parents would have consequences for the favor she would ask. She then slowly opened she mouth, making up her mind, "I accept the consequences."

"If that is the choice you have made, then so be it. I wish you and my son luck."

A huge of beam goes right into Lana as the cave blacks out and Lana is laying outside the cave.

*The Daily Planet, later in the night.*

"Where the heck is she?" Clark said sounding worried and curious. Chloe turned to him, "Lana still isn't picking her cell and she's not home?" Clark shaked his head, "I'm starting to get worried." Chloe put a hand on his shoulder, "Don't worry, she's a big girl and Lex is in jail, there's nothing to get bothered about."

"Kent, Sullivan, what are you two still doing here?" Perry White looked at them kind of proud. Clark quickly replied, "Just getting some work finished." Perry White smiled, "Well, it's 10, go home to your wife Kent. Sullivan go home to your finacee and cousin." He walks away and then turns around. "Oh and nice work." Clark and Chloe smile, as they get their stuff with Clark rushing as fast as he can.

"She's fine Clark, no need to go superspeed." Chloe said with a smile before leaving.

Clark superspeed home, "Lana?" He looked around, searched the whole house with x-ray vision. "Where is she?" He said sadly and sat down. He was really worried considering the last conversation they had.

*The caves.*

"Wha, what happen?" Lana said in weak, whispering voice. "Oh yeah, I wonder if it worked." She got up, how about my strength. She and walked to her car and picked up her car. She smiled, "I like being strong." she thought, 'what about speed.' So she ran as fast she could and ended up in China. "Wow, wrong place to run to, i didn't like being her once. She turned around ran back to the caves. What about heat vision? "Hmmm, how did Clark say heat vision worked again?" Lana smiled, "Oh yeah." She thought about Clark's body and then fire came from her eyes. It burned right through a tree, "Wow, that was cool. I guess it did work, now the challenging part is going to be to keep this a secret." She walked to her car and drove away.

Yeah Kewl I'm not sure Clark will be too happy that Lana made a deal with Lara. Is Lana going to being keeping the secret from Clark or just everybody else?

Chapter 3:

*Lana arrived home late at night.*

She walked into her house slowly, trying not to walk up Clark. Off course that didn't really matter, because Clark had been waiting up for her all night.

"Little late isn't it" Clark said worryingly.

She smiled at him, "Yeah, but don't worry, i'm okay."

Clark nodded his head, "I thought maybe you ran away to be with someone who could give you a family." Clark said kind of jokingly, but serious at the same time.

Lana looked at him sadly and shocked. "Clark don't ever say that, I would never leave you. Not for anything, not for anyone and certainly not to a family with someone i could never love as much as I love you."

She went up to him and kissed him passionately on the lips. Clark was relieved, "That;s good to know."

Lana looked at him sternly, "How could you think otherwise?" Clark looked down, "I don't know, I guess I always think the worst. The look on your face when I told you we can't have kids, just tore me a part."

Lana placed her hand his cheek, "It's death do us part, no matter what." She kissed him.

Clark placed his hand on hers, "So where'd you go?" Thoughts now ran through Lana's mind. Should she tell him about the deal she made with Lara? Then Lana made up her mind.

"I just went for a ride, no where special." She had hated lying to Clark, but she knew he wouldn't like her decision. She thought it was best to keep it a secret.

"No where special? Good, because I want to be there when you go special places." He said smiling, "I really did miss you today though."

Lana grinned, "I missed you too, what do you say we make up for lost time?" She grabbed his hand and lead him into the bedroom."

"Maybe you should go away more often." Clark joked, as Lana shoved on the bed and started kissing him.

*The next morning, Clark has already left for work.*

"Mmmm, that was great. Now to see if it worked or not, time to go to CVS and get a home pregnacy test. Oh and since I have these powers might as well use them." She superspeed into the showers, brushed her teeth, and got dressed in record time. "That was fun."

*The Daily Planet.*

"So, Chloe whens the big day?" Clark asked curiously.

"In a couple of weeks Clark, did Bruce call you yet?" Clark shaked his head, "No, why?"

"He needs a best man and I hear you're up for the job." Chloe said with a grin.

"Well, then i'm the man for the job Chloe." Clark said proudly. "We thought you would be" Chloe replied.

*Back at Lana and Clark's house.*

"Okay, yellow is no and blue is yes. Here I go." She uses the test and then looks at the results. The color turns to blue and she jumps up and down.

"WOO HOO, now the tricky part. How am I going to explain this to Clark?" She thought for a while. "I know I'll make him a big dinner and where something sexy to keep his mind off the subject."

*Later that night at their house.*

"Lana, I'm home." Clark walks in, it's dark. "Are you home?" He then turns around to see a candle light dinner. "Wow."

"Hey there." Lana says and Clark turns around to see her and almost trips. She's wearing a very short red dress with no back.

"Ummmm, ahhhhhh, h....hey." Clark mouth is hanging down as Lana smiles with satisfaction.

"I made us dinner, I was thinking we could stay home tonight." Clark nods his head about ten times.

"Staying home is good, very good. Why do we ever leave?" Lana is now giggling.

They both sit down, Clark very slowly, so he doesn't fall down. They begin eating and then Clark looks up curiously.

"Honey, what's the occasion?" Lana looked up at him a little worried, "Can't a wife do something special for her husband?" Clark smiles.

"Yes she can, but I don't think this is one of those times." Lana put her fork over and walked over to Clark. She sat on his lap and took a deep breath.

"Clark, I'm pregnant." Clark looked at her in shock. She then started to kiss his neck, "That's all, now let's continue this romantic evening."

"That feels good." He lays back, "WAIT. You're pregnant?" Lana then stopped and nodded her head.

"This isn't possible Lana."

"The pregnancy test disagreeds with you Clark." Lana said sternly.

"I want a baby as much as you do Lana, but Jor-el said it was impossible."

"Maybe Jor-el is wrong Clark."

"He's never been before." Clark said firmly.

Lana got up and walked toward the window. Clark walked before her and rapped his arms around her. "If you think we're pregnant, then we'll got the doctor tomorrow and find out for sure. But for now, let's just enjoy the night."
