What can I say other than wow. That finale was utterly amazing! You created a smallville season all i itself that we Clana lovers can only immagine and hope will come true. You were able to mold characters deeply in love out of words that you simply typed on your keyboard. Nothing I have ever read compares to this piece of work right here. You'd give Nicholas Sparks a run for his money :p

I was telling my husband today, that if Smallville was ANY other TV drama that had spent over 4 years trying to get a couple together, and built their relationship the way that it is, then they would end up together. Otherwise, why waste all the effort on the storyline . . . SO, that's how it's ending for me. That's why I wrote This Time . . . to put things how they are supposed to be :) I'll be re-reading it myself here soon, I'm sure :lol:

That is a good point. I have never read the comics, but I do read a lot of the mythos on websites and whatnot. This is an excerpt from her bio on the Superman official website:

'When Luthor fell, Pete ascended briefly to the presidency, and when he did, Lana decided to end their relationship for reasons that have not yet been revealed. She moved back toward Clark and tried to seduce him, ultimately failing. Currently, she remains in a limbo of a sort, trying to figure out what to do with her life.'


So who knows!! If she is still after him, then there is always a chance! How much would that piss everybody off! Clana ruling even the comics! Holy crap.

Hi, everyone!! I just posted part two of the Wizard of El on the Slapstick thread (here on the Clana board) :D

I've finally finished reading this wonderful piece of fiction and I'm just completely blown away by your talent, aj. Wow, just wow.

The entire fic was astonishing from the opening line to the closing sentence and you had my undivided attention through it's entirety. I know it's difficult to search through a season, as well as outside sources, just to answer the gaping questions that SV left on us after S4. And your answers were more than satisfactory. At this point, I found myself reading something, such as the explanation of Isobel's departure before completing her quest, and thinking, wow that's a good answer! Or better yet, I'd forgotten all about that, but it does make sense.

The intricate plot of Lex and Klax-ar was imaginatively done. Not to mention the creativity it required to link Isobel and Kal to Clark and Lana. The way their paths weaved in and out of each other was literally breath taking. You made Clark and Lana seem like the true definition of soul mates.

I can't believe how you connected so many different aspects of the show in this story. Jor-el, Naman, skinwalkers, Prof. Willowbrook, Krypton, the Fortress, Lana, Isobel, Gertrude, Jimmy! The list is endless! You deserve kudos for how true to the show you remained through this fic, many stories fall off that platform once they get going, but you just continued to amaze me.

I'm getting longwinded, but you deserve the praise. IMO this fic sets the standard, the criteria for what a good romance fic should be about. Because regardless of how amazing the other plots were, you still kept the romance there and alive...in the closet, in the narrow hallway :lol:. This fic had it all, romance, action, humor (Mr. Olsen, wow :lol: ), and an ending that won't soon be forgotten.

This fic definitely kept many fans sane through the long wait from S4 to S5 , and it inspired many others...look at the size of the Clana board ;). If we don't see any more from you it will be understood, but it will be a shame because your work is fabulous. Wonderful job.

I've agreed to write SOMETHING more than just oneshots in the future, not sure what yet :D Have to see what happens here in season 5! I'm still so high from Mortal, I can't see well enough to type!

Lana rubbed the sides of her head, feeling the confusion all over again. “Yes, but it doesn’t make any sense,” she said. “The voice was strong and clear: 'For the last time, would you ask someone for directions? Men! Too proud to admit they're lost. I'll bet we're not even in the Andromeda Galaxy anymore you moron.'”

Part IV

“Yeah, and of course you remember Ryan . . . he had a special ability that he could have done a lot of damage with, but he didn’t,” Clark said.

“Ryan?” Lana asked, remembering the young boy that had come into she and Clark’s life for a short time then died of a brain tumor. “What ability did he have?”

"Super-flatulence," Clark deadpanned. "You couldn't let that kid within 10 feet of a plate of beans without him stinkin' up the joint."

Part V

Clark’s eyes snapped up to meet hers—they’d drifted down to her lips again. “Lana, I hate to say this. But I’ve only just...begun...to live...white lace and promises, a kiss for luck and we're on our way..."

Lana nodded, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. “But how can you protect yourself against an alien, Clark?” she asked, thinking of all the horrifying powers it could have. “For all we know, it could shoot fire from it’s eyes.”

“Like this?” Clark asked, taking the opportunity to light the row of candles on Lana’s coffee table.

"What the hell, Clark?” Lana asked. Her eyes drifted between Clark and the candles. “How . . . how did you do that?” she asked, finally realizing he didn’t have any time to set her up for a joke.

Clark took a deep breath, then said, "Like this." He clapped his hands two times. "Clap on!" He clapped again. "Clap off!"

“There’s only one thing that gives me weaker knees than meteor rocks.”

“What’s that?” she asked, smiling.

Aj. I just finished your fic. I have been a silent/in the closet clana fan. I had just about lost my faith in small Ville and in clana after season 4, however, because of your story I HAVE LOST SLEEP, MISSED SCHOOL AND I THINK I LOST MY JOB TOO. ALL WORTH IT!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D. I have been hooked.
The way you write your story, the emotions, I felt them, when they laughed I laughed, when they were happy and when they were sad. I was happy and sad. Clana/Isakal two awesome stories put together. The way you explained it in your owen words. Why Isa became evil or about the stones it made season 4 worth buying (after I told my self I wasn't) I watched it and enjoyed it. I was at the edge of my seat at times, tearing up in others or jumping for joy. (my parent think I crazy). I had to be removed from my parents and friends computers because I was hogging it. And now they blame me for getting them hooked in your story and in the kryptonite site. Thanks Aj because of you and all the threads and stories people have put in. The way you write your story, the emotions, I felt them, when they laughed I laughed, when they were happy and when they were sad. I was happy and sad. Clana/Isakal two awesome stories put together. The way you explained it in your owen words. Why Isa became evil or about the stones it made season 4 worth buying (after I told my self I wasn't) I watched it and enjoyed it. I was at the edge of my seat at times, tearing up in others or jumping for joy. (my parent think I crazy). I had to be removed from my parents and friends computers because I was hogging it. And now they blame me for getting them hooked in your story and in the kryptonite site. Thanks Aj because of you and all the threads and stories people have put in. Hey, guess who I met last Wednesday night?! Eric Johnson (Whitney from Season 1). It was awesome and I couldn't believe he was ever cast as the "bad guy" (at first at least) on Smallville, becuase he has the brightest blue eyes and most cheerful smile you can imagine. And wow, he's totally cool and friendly. I was absolutely blown away by him. He signed a bunch of my SV first season stuff.

And my brother is working on a film with Ryan Kelly (Ryan from "Stray" and "Ryan") So, I might get to meet HIM this week also. 2 SV alumni in 1 week. Do I have some luck, or what?

Now, if I could only track down that cute Tom guy :)

And I DID get to meet Ryan Kelly yesterday (from Ryan and Stray) It was very fun to talk to him. I watched him on a movie set for four hours!! Wow. It was amazing. He was very cool and told me how the actors read k-site all the time the first year of the series, but had all stopped doing it by the time the second season rolled around. Why? Ryan said it was because many of the fan comments are great and encouraging, and others, well ........ we've all read the boards, haven't we? I wouldn't want to read some of the stuff either, it would make me so self-conscious in my acting.

Ryan also said that he's played characters with the name Ryan 3 times now. Funny.

We were talking about an idea of mine and she got an idea of her own off of what he were talking about. But nooooooooooooooo...she couldn't be persuaded to write it. Something about having a family and a real writing job that keeps interfering with our chance for more Clana!

Yes, I'm still writing a novel, and editing my other one that's already done. So, I spend like 5 hours a day writing.

I'm not trying to ignore Clana, but I'm enjoying it so much on the show right now that it doesn't drive me to create my own story :(

Unfortuntatly, soon, I'm sure that will change, but until then ...... I'll try to figure something out for this thread.

Or, I've been thinking about this for a while ..... I might post the Kalabel portion of the story on its own thread. I'd have to write a brief intro, and such, but how does that sound? Anyone interested in reading it as its own story?
