What do you believe is the best Harry Potter book and why?

I said all of them are equally great because each book was something new. It had a new meaning in each book.

SS was basically the foundation, and setting up how things are going to be.

CoS was basically about prejudice against other people by the use of mudbloods and pure bloods. Its even prevailent in the Potter world. It is also about choices which makes us who we truly are not are abilites.

PoA is looking inside yourself for strength, and from those around you. That there is a light in a dark world.

GoF is coming to face to face against obstacles that no one thinks you can do. To understand other people have feeling as well.

OOTP is about consequences of choices. To accept them, and cope with them. To do things at the time no one will allow it. Sometimes you have to do things on your terms.

Those are just a few themes from each book. I'm too tired to make it sound clearer. Sorry, I adore all the HP books :D.

I think they're all amazing but each one seems better than the last. That may be because I'm excited and there's a built up to the next one so by the time I get it and read it, it seems so much greater than the last. Does that make sense?

There all good but I think Prisoner of Azkaban is the best.

Most definitely. Each book is slightly different, but as a whole they fit into big story arc(kinda similar to Narnia and the Buffyverse lol). Each book progresses each character or semi-regular character to the next. Its terrific. I cant wait until July :D.

I agree that each book seems better than the last. I love them all and I can't wait for HBP. I'm counting the days.

I dunno why, but I really wasn't expecting so many peeps to be a fan of PoA...

It wasn't my favorite or least favorite...
I don't really 'fancy' Sirius.

GOF
It is a good transition book. I do love all the books but GOF start leaning to were the story will go darker. Harry seems to be coming more into his own now. It still had its light hearted moments but like i said the darkness is seeping. I cannot wait for the seen with Fienns and Radclif.

Well, like Sierra said we started to learn more about James Potter. We were getting the backstory of what happened which led to what happened in the present.

I love Sirius, but I fancy Lupin more. Oh, he's a calm, cool sweetie.

I really like Fiennes as an actor he was cool in Red Dragon and Wuthering Heights. But Schindler's List is one of the best movies ever!!!

Ralph was awesome in Schindler's. I hope he does Voldemort like he did Goeth, then his char would totally rule.

If he does it like he did the killer guy from Red Dragon, it might kinda... suck, thats not something we want to see Voldemort as. He needs be strong and evil in its purest form because thats what Voldemort is.

Yeah, Red Dragon Fiennes was well...you know, that would suck.

Totally off topic but I thought he was sweet in RD when he didn't kill the blind chick.
