Robocop 3

This is to discuss the final movie of the RoboCop Trilogy,
RoboCop 3 . I know that the movie is old,but I wanted to know what do you think of this movie and how it was done.

Personally I think that the best RoboCop movie was cool,
the third movie is....different but certainly not the best.The absence of the Old Man,who was Leader of OCP for example was an unexpected change,and was replaced by Rip Thorn.(He is Zed in the Men In Black movie series).Second,there was the death of RoboCop s partner,Officer Lewis.The inclusion of the japanese ninja robots was....unexpected as well.Somehow the producers of this movie wanted to do RoboCop 3 similar to the first one.The original music composer returned for this film,
and some things from the first movie appeared in this one.We saw the evil gang who murdered Murphy back in the first film via flashbacks,and most interesting,RoboCop wasnt played by Peter Weller,but other actor took his place.

I would give this film a 7,it wasnt that spectacular....and they didnt wrapped the movie series with a bang.....

So,what do you think of RoboCop 3?At least it was better than
RoboCop 2......

Personally i thought robocop 3 was a joke i just couldnt get inot it at all. Robocop the original wasnt bad though and i agree with you robocop 2 was terrible.

The only thing I can say is Robocop - Classic (doesn't mean it's great though......)

Robocop II - poo
Robocop III - Sh!te.

For such a character, they made a cr@p job of the films.....could of been soooooo much better, in the hands of a good director/writer.

Oh well.

Yea its kinda like what they did with the matrix only on a smaller scale.

The 1st matrix was brilliant the other 2 were crap.

The first robocop was brilliant the other 2 were crap .

Veeeery true.

Know this isn't the Matrix thread, but thought 2nd one was ok.....not good or great or anything, but watchable at least.

Should of stuck with the 1st film & left it like that.....would of stayed a classic for all time then, instead it's remembered as a trilogy....like Robocop.

Thought the same sorta thing with Terminator 3, should of just stuck with the 1st & 2nd, the 3rd way ok, but felt there was just NO point in making that film.

The movie showed the dark side of the company that built RoboCop...and in the end,it was destroyed.I think that the most fascinating gadget that RoboCop had was his flight pack...

Still I think that the best villian in the movie series was
Clarence Boddicker,the man who killed Alex Murphy in the first place!

Clarence was a real mean.....well you get my point.

Still I think that the first movie was superior than RoboCop 3.

What do you think of Rip Thorn as the new owner of OCP?

And what happened to the old man?Did he died or what?

Plus I love the scene in which RoboCop is fighting with Clarence at the factory....Ahhhh I love the first movie!!

I absolutely love Robocop; I know the first film almost word for word.

As for the third one, well... there are some elements I like, namely the ninja stuff but as a whole its uneven.

If you look at Frank Miller's original screenplay for Robocop 2, its obvious they just took some of his ideas for part 2 and split them up over parts 2 and 3.

Its kind of funny about the whole ninja thing; you'd think that the ninjas would have been from Miller's story, but its something the writers/ filmmakers that butched Miller's original story contributed.

But the RoboCop franchise didnt ended with the third movie,there were later some TV series right and even an animated cartoon....

I remember that some comics followed...but I dont think they want to do a RoboCop 4.....what would it be about??

I loved it as a kid, but this one was truly tamed down. Didn't like it not having the dark tone that the others had. Prime Directives wasn't much better.

I gotta' agree. Robocop 3 was just bad. The PG-13 rating didn't help either.

I actually like Robocop 2, though I think it would have been a lot better if they hadn't changed it from Frank Miller's original screenplay, which was very good. Though, seeing John Glover as the car salesman at the beginning was very cool.
