The drawings tell the prophecy of Naman, who will fall from the sky in a rain of fire, have the strength of ten men and will be able to start fires with his eyes.

The epicentre of the meteor shower were the caves, and the meteors were a harbinger of the ship's arrival. It came to Earth to destroy it, it's the danger from the darkness of space. And maybe Lex is right, and Segeith is the good guy.

So I think it's pretty logical to assume the person in the ship is the real Naman. And therefore, it has to be a guy / man with the exact same powers like Clark (because the ship is Kryptonian).

You can call him Zod, if you want to, but what if he calls himself Naman in this continuity? :D

While an interesting theory, Jack, that would mean that Lex would have to be called Segeeth. I for one am not making any predictions about what is in the ship. I know I'll be happy either way. I do like hearing everyone's theories though, because some are pretty interesting!

Every Naman has his Segeeth. Clark has Lex ... maybe this guy has somebody else.

Hmmm ... :)

but 3 has martha as lana lang, so it is nice to see that connection. Also Naman and Segeeth were created by the show as "Clark" and "Lex" in the old Indian legend

Yeah, Naman and Segeith were tied in with Skinwalker and Talisman if I am right. It had to do with an old Kawacthi (sp?) legend where Clark was suppose to be Naman, and it was never revealed whether Lex or Lionel was Segeith. Either way, Nam. and Seg. were arch-enemies.

I can absolutely garuantee anyone that If the black ship contains Zod or the Eradicator or anykind of immensly powerful possibly evil alien, Lex will try and recruit it. In superman stories this usually involves trying to use it for his own dastardly plans for money and power, but then upon realising that it could destroy his home (earth) he tries to stop it and has to work with superman to achieve this.

Therefore, if the alien is Namaan and Lex is Segeith, then the story of the friends who turn against each other seems more realistic.

(then again, classic story of Lex meeting superman for the first time also has him trying to recruit him hence the original assumption)

i think that tge ship contains some sort of crytal that will help Clark destroy Zod when he eventually does arrive.

jus like Kal_El's ship in superman 4 contained a crystal whihc helped save his life.

it harneshed the power of the red sun of krypton.

what if Jor-el knowing that Zod (the great evil that has been unleashed) is on his way, so he sent this ship with a little help for Kal-El as he and Zod would have equal powers. or Kal-El, would be weaker as he has not reached maturity and inherited all his abilities!

what ya think?

the prophecy of namaan and segeeth is simply a reference to clark and lex. the legend said that when namaan's enemy(segeeth) touched the ancient knife, it would crumble - well..when lex and lionel touched it...it did. we all know that lex is clark's enemy, and he touched it making it disintegrate.

my point: clark=namann
lex = segeeth

end of story.

what's in that ship is something else.

good brainstorming though - it's good to get all the ideas out on the table and try to pick through them to come up with something legit.

i have one thought that didn't come to mind until now though....
u know the drawing in the cave of the two headed dragon?
i always thought that was clark and lex, but what if it's some kind of fire-breathing (kryptonian fire) monster in that ship.
that would explain what jor-el said about clark being "seered with a fire from the sky that even you won't survive''

ah...i doubt it...but who knows
