do you think that if clark told lex about himself, lex wouldnt have been clark's enemy?

A couple of points:

I re-watched "Obscura" last night and Clark says something to Jonathan like "the more you refuse to trust Lex, the more he'll become what you think he already is." So, in a way, I think even Clark knows that his continual lying to Lex about who he is is probably contributing to his dark side - plus the fact that a lot of the other characters lie to him also.

Another way to look at it, though, is that Lex will never really be Clark's enemy in the true sense of the word. I see him as the "villain of the story," but not necessarily because he is Clark's direct enemy. I think, in a way, there is a respect, awe, and even deep inside a love for Clark that Lex has, so that he sees Clark as the balancing force that he somehow still wants to be in the world with him. If he were a true enemy, he would want to see Clark's/Superman's destruction and I don't see that as the case here.

they r still kind of friends and stuff so they might hurt eachother but they wouldnt kill each other. like in the xmen movies professor x and magneto are enemys but they are still friends. plus if lex kills clark/superman then there will be no point to anything and if lex was killed what would be the point cause u need a villian. its also like austin powers and dr evil if any of them die then everything will be over. also if Bush killed Suddam then Bush wouldnt really have anything to go to war about.

Yeah its kind of a respect thing on both parts. Both know they could kill each other in the comics both they know they balance each other out.
