The ship landed near Lana...My theory is..

My theory:

The ship came for Lana, not coincidental!!

Lana defiled the stones with human blood when GT was killed by Isobel(Lana). Therefore a Krytonian prison ship has come to imprison Lana to purify her. What will the most Kryptonian place on Earth soon be....thats right...the FOS. Lana will be held there and Clark will have the power to free her from the ship.....which he will being the last Kryptonian, oh yeah, don't forget about that he loves her thing.

I also believe the ship came for Lana. And whatever is on the ship will have the Water stone symbol on it. Lana lost the symbol when she killed GT, so I believe this ship is out to get Lana. And only Clark will save her. Remember, Lana acted like she would never see Clark again. So, he will think she is safe somewhere. Lex will be the one to tell Clark Lana is missing.

that does sound convinceing but maybe......its another kryptonian????? as jor el said he wouldnt survive this doomsday, (but that makes you think did he say with knowledge that clark may get the stones together, if so then it would validate the my theory, in that its a kryptonian, exactly the same powers as clark, etc etc, but one huge difference this kryptonians ideals are different to clarks.... dominance power etc while clarks is the mushy protective stuff, should be interesting, i know other members have touched this theory i hope this reinforces it.

I think the ship will introduce us general zod. he´ll ask for kal-el to punish him (clark´s 'failure' in his conquer mission) and will begin to destroy everything and whatsever.

lana will hear 'kal'-el and she´ll be suspicious

lana would be her hostage (like lois in superman II) and everyone will be asking themselves about clark. ("where is clark? he did just vanish!")

He´ll return from the FOS with more knowlegde or new powers and will defeat zod in an incredible battle.

I said that I agree with SVSpector that the ship may have to do with Lana, as it opens up a blue light fills her face, she is scared! I don't think she has seen anything yet. The season premiere will start Lana out where she is and then we will see what is in the ship as she sees it. At the beginning of "Commencement" when the meteror breaks up into many pieces it does so with a blue light burst. I think the ship that lana sees was inside the meteor that broke up and headed toward Smallville.

hmmm....yep it's either something to do with lana and then clark saves her and she finds out the truth about him(fat chance though! she'll probably be outcold or memory wiped!damn it!)

I dont undetstand, even for seeing superman cartoon and Lois& Clrack, After the planet krypton got destroy... CLRACK IS THE ONLY SURVIVAL .. so how there are more kripton ppl and btw how the hell Jo El talk to clrack in the cave? HE IS DEAD!

Zod wasn't on Krypton when it was destroyed. He was a criminal who was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone.

But I don't think Zod will be seen on Smallville.

My theory is the ancient Kryptonians, or perhaps Jor-el when he was alive, created a "failsafe" to be unleashed if the stones or crystal were ever used improperly. I would say killing a person would be an improper use and thus it is reasonable to assume that the "failsafe" was unleashed against Lana. However, it's more likely that the "failsafe" was tasked to protect "all Kryptonian knowledge", which is what the combined stones or crystal provide, from falling into the wrong hands and thus is sent to eradicate anyone but a Kryptonian who controls them. Lana being there is probably just your common SV coincidence but maybe not.
