Yep it was Onyx. Evil Lex said that to Jonathan after he had beat up Clark and shot Jonathan in the leg in the Kent's barn.

Well I must rewatch then, thanx
Its so funny that smallville tried to have a pretext of continuity by including those Previouslies... I was like, oh so now continuity is important?

Yeah, there were so many crazy obscure things that happened on Smallville this season that it had to be tied together to add more viewers who wouldn't have had a clue about the stones. I wish I would have skipped some of the episodes and have just watched that minute summary before "commencement"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was cool! i liked the "previosly on smallville" it was cool cause i was like: "that's from onyx and thats from sacred and thats from..." it felt cool to know everything!jaja lol!
I thought this "previously on Smallville" was pretty funny. It was rediculous how they tried to tie a few of those clips in to act like there had been more lead-up to this episode. The first clip they show in the "Previously..." is the shot of the two shooting stars colliding that was at the very end of "Lucy" if I recall correctly. Even though, these meteors were not awakened until BLana killed whatshername.

I liked it, but maybe that is just me. I try to take things at face value, and not nessacarily critize them during the show... that is for afterwords.

I personally thought that the 'Previously On Smallville" was well thought out, very excellent put together with alot of important moments and some Superman quotes.
It was not really supposed to be for us, it was like a bonus for us, it was really for new fans that are joining now or for people who are only watching because of the "Batman Begins" preview.
It summed up the season and storylines very well, showing very strategic moments and clips so that you have a excellent idea of exactly why these things are happening in the finale without the extra and totally unneeded stuff.
It is finished off brillantly with what is being voted the best line of the season by Lex Luthor "I AM THE VILLIAN OF THE STORY".

I liked the "previously" montage also.
Kal-El-K, you might be thinking of Talisman from Season 3, where Lex talks to Clark at the end about the possibility that Sageeth is the hero of the story that is told on the cave walls. A truly great scene.

I loved the recap. My husband works at night and missed most of the season (no tivo here and our vcr was messed up most the season). The recap made it so he could kinda follow along at least. After all the jumping around and not getting back to important things this season it was important to try and tie it all together.

season 4 didn't come out on DVD yet, and the episode mentioned in the first post was definitely "onyx"
I for one think that Smallville has amazing continuity for a TV show. Most TV shows don't have anywhere near the continuity that Smallville does.
