Does anyone out there think that it is Mon-EL in the ship?

A member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, and the only inhabitant of the Phantom Zone who was not sent there for any crime.

Mon-El is a native of the planet Daxam and is a longtime friend of Superman. His real name is Lar Gand and he is fully aware that Clark Kent is secretly Superman.

Arriving on the planet Earth while Superman was still a teen-ager in Smallville (see Superboy), Mon-El discovered that, in the alien environment of Earth, he possessed super-powers identical to Superman's. Soon afterward, however, he was completely robbed of his super-powers as the result of a potentially fatal overexposure to lead, which affects Daxamites in the same manner as Kryptonite affects Kryptonians.

To halt the physical deterioration wrought by the lead poisoning and thus save Mon-El's life, Superboy (the young Superman) projected his friend into the Phantom Zone. He will remain there unaging, until the thirtieth century A.D., when, thanks to a special "antidote serum" developed by Brainiac 5, he will be released from the Phantom Zone permanently to assume a regular role in the Legion of Super-Heroes. - Superman.ws

Nope.

I doubt we'll see any more El's. All these references to the comics that everyone keeps using as an explanation, are so obscure and unknown that it's doubtful any of them will be used. Even the eradicator is unlikely to show up in Smallville. Al and Miles are using the comics for inspiration only. They aren't following it to the letter. Whatever is in the ship doesn't even have to be from the phantom zone at all.

The ship most likely has nothing to do with any of those characters, but is probably something else TPTB thought of. It most likely won't be Zod or any one else from the phantom zone. I think it'll be something completely different.

since the only thing tying lana into the show was the isobel arc, and they just concluded that, they needed something else totally bizarre and useless to the show when we DON'T NEED IT! But.... since AlMiles are so infatuated with lana they just can't do without her in the show so they convinced the writers to create something totally pointless to keep her in the show.

One of my first thoughts was Mon-el too.. I knew he showed up around that time.. But I am now convinced that Al/Miles are going to have something new, maybe a combination of several things, inside the space ship..

I don't think it's Mon-El. But that does seem more likely than Zod(due to the timing).

I get the feeling that whatever is in that ship will not be something that will last on the show for a long time. It will probably be something that will be resolved in an episode or two during next season.
