You know on the countless occasions Clark has something vitally important to do and his parents are all like "No! No! Don't do it! You'll be hurt!" Don't you just want Clark to ***** slap them once in a while. He never explains it to them properly! He just says something like "I THINK Jor-El wants me to save everybody. Again". Stop filling your sentences with uncertainties, dammit! Tell them the whole truth about it, maybe they'll understand straight away! It's easy.
"Mum, Dad - listen - Jor-El told me to put the stones together before anyone else did or the world would be destroyed or something. You told me not to. I didn't. Now we're going to be hit by a meteor. You know what, it's your fault - YOU find the crystals!! Where's that red kryptonite? When I'm smeared across the face of the earth by a piece of rock, I need to be in the right frame of mind".

I agree to a certain level... assuming you are clarks parents, you are the parents of basically a near god. You have raised a child who is like no other man on earth. Your child is the key to the universe and his existence answers current questions and only creates more. Of course they are going to be worried, they are parents

yeah I used to get really annoyed with Clark not just explaining things...

like his first blown date with lana... all he had to say was "sorry chloe was on a date with a killer and I had to save her".

It would have taken 4 seconds to say and saved us all the angst and BS that TPTB put us through...

Just explain yourself Clark! For ****s sake.

However, it's only natural for Clark's parents to be worried about him all the time. He is the best thing that has ever happened to them and they don't ever want to lose him.
