After Lana kills GT, and after Clarks dream about the bright lights in the sky, it cuts to the huge meteor rock in space, being split into smaller rocks and start heading towards earth. Now when it splits, there is a bright blue flash of light from either within or behind the rock, and we here the sound effect that clark hears when he is called to collect one of the stones. Now what im wondering is if the blood on the stone caused the rock to split and head towards smallville, or if the blood on the stone caused the spaceship at the end of the episode to hit the meteor. Any theories?

Nice idea!

However, if you rewatch the episode -- Jor 'El mentions that he had nothing to do with it (the meteor shower) I say this because Jor 'El tells clark, "there's nothing you can do what already has been set in motion". --GT being murdered causing the astroid to break apart (activating the ship).

i think like in the first smallville episode the metor shower was also a cover for this spaceship. clark needed to get them altogether so he can be basically the "ruler" of earth. since a human got blood on the stone it was basically saying that no stronger force is on earth cause if there was it would have gotten to it first. so the evil force came to earth to gain controll of it cause it thought that there was no "superman".

My guess is that when Lana got GT's blood on the stone, it triggered the ship, which was sealed inside the rock, to break it apart. This makes the ship the real danger from the darkness of space. The meteor shower was merely either a side-effect of its release or a way to help it avoid detection as it came to Earth.

when Isobelle killed GT, the stone emitted a blue glow, that same blue glow probably disrupted the meteor and caused it to shattered

...really? I thought it glowed and then Lana's tatoo disappeared...

Hmmm...

Nice find!

Which ties in to what Tyrantking mentioned.

its definately something evil. As much as wed all like it to be something from the comics, we also have to prepare ourselves that it might not be :(

Jor-El talked about event's being put in motion and that the stones had been tainted.

Maybe what ever is in the ship, has come to clean away the stain. Which may mean that Lana is in danger. Yet, if I'm right in what I've been told (I'm no Superman fan) that Lana know's Clark's secret when he leaves for Metropolis.

Maybe and this is just a maybe, this is what put's everything together for her, and helps her understand all the secrets.

As for the metor in terms of it's explosion, I thougbt it had something to do with the stone activating the it.

So... The thing in the ship comes down just to clean the stain?

...interesting.

i think whatever it is was awokened because of the blood stain. It thinks that Clark failed his mission of collecting the stones. so maybe once clark enters the FOS, it will disarm, as ive read from some other threads. but that would be entirely stupid and ruin it for all us superman fans. lana is definately in danger though.

That's like the easiest way to shut down a doomsday device.... Walk in the FOS and Viola!

Countdown terminated.... Doesn't seem to o exciting if you ask me.

If it is a device rather than a person in the ship, it might be interesting if Lex were to get his hands on it, maybe keep at some research facility in Metropolis. Clark might then have to rely on Chloe's knack for sneaking into anyplace she wants in order to confront/recover it.

Yeah, no doubt that'd be cool too.

Although, w/all the commmotioin goin' on (people evacuating smallville, buildings burning, Chloe shoving him, his dad waking from the coma) -- it'd be hard to multitask w/all that stuff goin' on... But it's Lex and he's a mastermind.
