ok here is my theory, i think that the ship saved lana's life, they crashed from pretty high up and the pilot was dead. she had to have been extremely lucky to not die, and plus when she got out of the helicopter it was like she KNEW to go to the crater and go to the ship...it was so weird how she just started crawling over to it without knowing what it was...I think that the ship has something to do with her and was sent to save her or something

Oh please, GOD NO! Enough with the crap storylines that keep Blahna around. It was the witches this year, the ship next? This proves, if this happens, that she SERVES NO PURPOSE on this show, and the writers have to invent ways to keep her around. PLEASE. Send her somewhere and keep her away. Or let her die. Either way, get rid of her, if she serves no purpose.

Intersting...
Funny, I had an image of the ship transforming into a kryptonian warsuit talkin' to lana lang like a transformer.
I don't get how so many people can say Lana has no place in Smallville. She is Clarks first love and apparently will continue to be for at least a few more years. He doesn't love Chloe. Alicia is dead..... and he and Lois don't get together for quite some time, and really she isn't even supposed to be part of the story yet.... so we have a show about young adults, and there won't be any relationships except the kents? HMMMM................ I think the idea with the witches was supposed to show that Clark was destined to be with her, her ancestors and his ancestors were involved. Look at his dad and her aunt................

The whole stupid point of Relic is that they're NOT meant to be together. Louise got shot, remember?
I serious doubt the ship saved her. I think the ship was actually the thing that clipped the helicoptor to make it crash. Since it was activated by the blood on the stone, which Lana caused, I kind of think maybe it was aimed at Lana. She just happened to get lucky and survive..

Clark's first love, not some superpowered witch or protected by some ship. That's why Lana has no purpose in Smallville. When AlMiles have to create this kind of stories for her, it means she nothing then a gimmick.
And, no, Clark and Lana are not destined to be, we all know that.

Well yeah, he's destined to be with lois, but he won't be until he's 30 years old or so. He's only 18 now so I think that lana can stay around for a while. But bringing lois was not a smart idea. Clark was supposed to love her at first sight and obviously she's more irritating him that anything...

If this ship or whatever it is was sent to save Lana...... Then please shoot me right in my pinky. I say pinky because it's kinda useless.
If that's the case. I hope it fails and Lana dies so we don't have to deal with her anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love Lana. I think she is awesome on the show. She just doesn't need to be a witch or protected by some robot or droid or R2D2. Actually... if R2D2 was on the show. I'd love it.

Surely the ship was the "dark presence" or whatever it was that Jor-El mentioned? It seems to me more likely that Lana has only just got rid of her witchy friend and now she is about to be posessed (or used in some way) by the next seasons baddie.
I'm not too familiar with the lesser known superman villians, but aren't there a few eternal mega nasty alien guys out there (darkseid I think is one)? and the ship was black. Gotta mean its evil.
I liked the dead guy in the seat next to her, with his eyes open and right in full view. Gruesome.

I think that's an act. They both like each other a lot more than they let on.

The ship is going to heal Lana. In last seasons finale Kara (?) is the conduit that Jor-El is using in order to manipulate Clark.
She (Jor-El) says that "She (Lana) really does love you......" So I think that Jor-El will continue to keep around anyone he feels can aid him in manipulating Clark. Once their usefullness is gone (Kara) - BOOM, so are they.
