Was I hallucinating, or did I hear Holly Harold's name being called during the graduation ceremony? If so, were any other writers named?

They would have to be before Lana Lang alphabetically, since she was the last one mentioned before all heck broke loose.

Holly Harold?? I missed that. I'm surprised they picked her name for that -- ran a big risk of having people throw shoes at their televisions.

Maybe the other writers were making a crack about her high-school level writing ability...

I did hear it to and became nauseous - though it could have been my migraine! Yes, her name was called, and perhaps she is now going to go to the local community college and take some classes on not writing lame romantic entanglement scripts about obsessive girlfriends with weird powers and the like.

Thought it was an interesting in-joke for them to pull, only I wouldn't have recognized the name but for all the comments I've read about concerning her writing for the show. Wondered if any other writers' names were included as well. Cute idea!

What's next? Maybe Jeph Loeb will guest star as an FOTW next season - a comic book writer whose characters come alive and go marauding in Smallville? Perhaps....

I hadn't noticed any other writers having their names snuck in at any point in the series, but I can't say that I actually know all their names, either. I'll pay a little more attention next season...

Too bad none of the writers were blown up by the meteors.

Now, now... we should be happy for them for staying in high school those eight long, years.
Plus, now that Holly Harold's got her diploma, she can spend more time writing episodes and less time copying homework and going to the mall! I can barely contain my excitement thinking about all the great storylines we'll get to see from her next year...
Clark and a beautiful and mysterious girl named 'Holly Sue' fall under the spell of a magical potion that makes them want to have some sex...
Clark and a mysterious and new beauty named 'Solly Hue' fall under the spell of an ancient curse that makes them want to have some sex...
Clark and a new and beautiful mystery girl eat some magical pizza that makes them want to have some sex...
Clark gets Lana pregnant, and they name their beautiful and mysterious new baby 'Sue Holly'... and then they have some sex.

Lana meets a guy who uses electrical charges to make her his puppet. It's nothing like Magnetic. Really, it's totally original. It's called "Electric"

Lana and Chloe decide to get plastic surgery, but the saline from their breast implants is actually made from meteor rocks and Coca-Cola! Wackiness ensues.

actually, allison dunn's, who is credited for something or other after every episode, name comes up a couple times. her name was above chloe's in magnetic when lex was looking at the names of people digging into the luthor past, and her name was also on a grave headstone in pariah, in the final scene with chloe and clark.

Ah, great catch! Now I'm curious if there's been a lot of these shout outs, but I've just never really noticed them before.
