What do you think happened to chloe and Lex when that explosion of light went off in the cave?

i think they just got thrown back...what im worried about is when they get up...whats lex going to do to chloe :(

I think Chloe will get hurt and Lex will have one of those 'Is he good or evil' moments and either help her or leave her paralyzed on the cave ground. He'll choose the latter because she isn't the perty brunette that has his testicles in her pink satin-lined Gucci bag.

They'll get amnesia, wander out of the caves, and wonder where all the fires and craters came from.

Yeah and then Clark's secret will be safe and he can go abuse his powers to find Lana while his parents sit in the rubble of their house.

i think that lex is finally transcending to evil. Near the halfway pt of the episode when lex was talking to lionel the light shining on his face kept going from blue to red.
for some reason I got this as some type of symbolism for the sudden change in lex's character to come.

Well, yeah, the fact that he leaves his father to get smooshed in a meteor shower is sort of a good indication that he's evil, lol.
I don't know why people keep bringing up the Lexana. It was just so obvious to me that Lex was only using Lana...

What I love about him is "you never can tell with Lex" I think he wanted the stone but also cares about her. His obsession just overuled him in the end. He can still love her, he just loves her less than he loves power. Which is Lex Luthor in a nutshell.

Are you talking to me? Because that was called a J-O-K-E. They only only work on people with a sense of humor. Now if you want my real answer it's at the beginning of this thread in all it's bitter honesty. And can you please add more to the conversation then calling someone's response stupid? Thank you. :)

I want to live in your world. My sanity would still be intact. He just seemed too touchy with her. But I did get the feeling at the helicopter for a second that he was using her. I don't know. Judging from the Jason and Lionel gush session recently...I just don't know. But I'm rooting for your theory. Aren't you a Lexana fan, though?

Chloe is a marked person unless...unless that flash of light makes her forget.

DOES IT SOUND LIKE I'M A LEXANA FAN? Heh, although I actually did ship it for awhile, but it was on again and off again thing and pretty much only because I generally support all Lex ships. But no, no, dear god no, I haven't been a Lexana fan for awhile now.

But then Chloe is going to Metropolis so the Lex/Chloe interaction could be at such a minimum they both "forget" about it. Besides Lex has alot of explaining to do anyway about how he acted if he plans on keeping up relationships with them.

I'm sure he cares for her, but it's obvious to her his greed/lust for power is more than that, easily. I don't know any women who would give me a second shot if I started rifling through their purse for *anything*. :p

His actions had to have alienated Lana, Chloe, and (when he hears about it) Clark. That alienation will hopefully be something that keeps him from backtracking again toward the sometimes goody-good Lex. I think that the relationships he's had with the others have been part of what kept him from turning for so long. With those relationships in tatters... evil Lex should really be here to stay.

Am I the only one who thought it was funny when Chloe pushed him into the cave wall? ;) go chloe!

I think that Lex's interaction with the other characters was part of what made him so interesting. I can't see any voluntary interaction with him after all the alienation which means the Lex character suffers and becomes somewhat of the classic superhero villian. Plotting in the shadows and only comes in contact with the hero during the final confrontation.
The opportune time to kill Chloe would have been during the season finale as I doubt it would be as poignant midst-season.
However, I think Lex has to kill someone to finally turn absolutely evil. He'll probably kill his father, if anyone, as it appears that Lionel will become a FOTW sort of deal (i.e., anyone remember the guy who could shoot fire from his hands? He was also in that sort of coma).

I dont think the cave blast will hurt either one too much for the season 5 opener.
However, as opposed to the season transition between 3 and 4 where Lex is protecting Chloe....this transition 4/5 will probably see some ugly Lex vs Chloe.
And of course, this will probably drag out the wait for the Chloe/Clark "talk" till after the Chloe/Lex resolution....

Does Chloe actually know that it was Clark that she saw in the blinding light? Could she recognize that it was Clark's body shape to figure out it was him?
Acutally, when you think about it, I think she knows it was Clark cause there would be no point of shoving Lex in the wall if she didnt' know that it was Clark that was inside the chamber.

Jor-El seems pretty vindictive towards humans, and rightly so after the events of Relic. However, maybe he will see how Chloe tried to protect Clark from Lex finding out, and he will not mind-wipe her like he will to Lex.

She had to have known it was Clark...she saw the stone in his hand and knew he sped off somewhere...then Lex added his suspicions about Clark, the stones and the cave. Even if she couldn't see him clearly, she knew!

I would've had Chloe say
"Lex watch out for that wall!"
Then push him into it.

But didn't you love the reaction shot of Lex when he heard Lana's words? I did. I loved it. I loved how he caught himself. He wigged out, that was clear. But when he heard Lana thinking that he cared more for the stone than her, he made sure that she knew it was not so. He made sure that she knew that she was more important to him than any stone, and that her safety was what concerned him at that moment. Lex is a conflicted character, but he is not conflicted about how he feels about Lana. Him admitting to her that she meant a lot more to him than she knows - was a wonderful moment for Lex/Lana, and I think showed Lana just how much he does care for her. I think of how she's looking at him when the chopper takes off - she's not upset or anything. She almost looks sad. Perhaps realizing that she should've known all along. I loved their scenes together and I hope the writers continue to pursue it. :)

maybe the "flash" or "blast" will have some effect on chloe, and lex will bring her where he brought lionel...
it looked like chloes head cocked back like something hit her...
she something something nonetheless..
and lex knows it..
and lex knows chloe is lying about clark anyway, so maybe something will lead up to chloe ending up instituitionalized... like her dear ol mother.

That would have been very appropriate! It will be interesting to see how Lex deals with that particular incident when the new season starts. Lex vs. Chloe watch out!!

The Chlex scenes in the caves were the best part of the episode. I was glued to the screen and cheering Chloe on as she knocked Lex up against the wall. She just kicked butt last night.

Yes! All the symbols will vanish and Lex will be furious.
Chloe will remember.
If she did not forget after blank, she will always know Clark's secret.

I don't think they will go the amnesia route. But about the symbols on the caves...well, it never occurred to me that they would be affected by Clark's teleporting, but they could be. If they were left for Clark as a map to his destiny regarding the caves then he has no longer needs them.

I agree that Lex wanted to keep Lana safe, but his method of doing such was different. He wanted the stone for himself. If he didn't he wouldn't have hassled Lana for it so much as he was already shipping her off to Metropolis for safety.
If Lex wanted to give the stone to his father, he wouldn't have taken the one that Lionel had, and then get so angry when it turned up missing. Lex is all about the stones. Everything else is secondary.
IMO Lex thought Lionel was going to die anyway, that's probably why he left him there. If he brought him along to safety, he'd have only been dead weight, pun intended.

I agree, 4EverSmallville. Lex wanted the stone for himself, and Lana's safety was secondary.
