Lex is finally leting someone in on the fact he's evil, but he's been around since Oynx. I believe he won the fight between his two halfs, that's why he been doing so many dark things in the last few episodes, he wasn't that dark before.

Actually I can't stand that line because instead of SHOWING us how gradually Lex became the son Lionel always wanted, they're TELLING it to us and we're supposed to buy it.
