i thought the pulsing alternation between blue and red light on lex in lana's apartment was pure genius! it was like a representation of the conflicting sides to his character, each fighting to be expressed. another thing that i realized later as i was contemplating this, was that lex's color is purple: blue+red. kinda cool huh? even if smallville has some dumb writing (looks up and around for TPTB or lightning bolts), you can always count on 10's all around on the technical aspects, especially the lighting.
